Hi all, I have a plan to buy Galaxy Star S5282 but I want to use BBM with it.
Can it Install & run BBM?
If it can, how is it perform on S5282 ?
Is it run smoothly or not?

yes u can install bbm on this phone and it runs smoothly on this device

As we can see ppl hav rooted galaxy star duos using various ways like pre rooted firmware(thnx to @Chirtagh ) and cydian impactor(@touseifiqbal)...development for the cwm recovery and custom roms hav to start....arnt i right?

Our stock recovery won't work, and can create a custom rom through odin method though..

the method i posted earlier cannot be carried out by me as im too busy

You need to build it from source. There are a lot of tutorials for doing so.

It is 4.0+, if i'm not wrong. It is almost (or it is) impossible to port it.

bbm.apk is for armv7
can anyone ported it into armv6?

hello everyone
i installed chain fire 3d on my galaxy star duos .. after i installed it it made phone stuck on boot
and thanks to Chirtagh .. i installed the prerooted frimware and it works amayzing
my question here is .... i would never play gangstar West coast on my phone because i can't install chain fire 3d?
i readed later that android 4.1.2 can't run it and it will make boot stuck .. anyways
i need a way to use chain fire 3d or to run gangstar west coast on my phone ://
i also heared about multi boot and i can install Jelly bean and ICS which can run chain fire well ...
so anyone .. help me with gangstar problem .. and if anyone can explain that multi boot please tell me .. thanks everyone
Gangstar wch will not work on galaxy star as it is jelly bean ( u will face the problem to dl additional data bcoz this old game can't read storage/gameloft/games folder).

i have wifi connection and i can download whatever it needs .
can i use Samsung Galaxy Star Pro S7260 andriod 4.4 (kit kat ) version in samsung Galaxy Star GT-S5282 or not ?
Small answer No but don't worry there will be a ROM that support kitkat soon...

No there are many difference in hardware and you can see the differences in two phones specifications.
The samsung galaxy star pro has its android that made to function with its hardware so it can't function with galaxy star duos.
I don't know when will be the ROM released but i know that developers are working hard to make it so there will be ROMs but when.. No one know .

kitkat roms can be ported from other devices if galaxy star got stable cm11.. if devs can make it i'll port kitkat roms for sure !! :v
