[Q] Can only get 3g/4g on kitkat now lmao - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Well I have been trying lots of different roms and finally decided to go back to hyper drive and use it for a while. Well I couldn't get data. So I Odin the original mdk that came with my phone and I still couldn't. So I take the phone up to Verizon have them program me a new SIM and it still doesn't do it. He said he could send it off if I had the warranty which I don't but I took it home and played some more.
The only time I can get Verizon signals is on kitkat roms now that I have tried them. I am being completely retarded and missing something easy. Like I'm supposed to flash something special when coming back from kitkat that I'm not doing or am I seriously ****ed until all the bugs get ironed out?

The kit Kat roms are starting to kick some ass though. I noticed tonight the verizon signal I do get though is much weaker than on my dad's stock rom. So I'm really looking for a clue or a future fix.

Maybe a radio flash or kernel I could flash on 4.4.2 it is the cyanogen nightly but I can switch roms if necessary also.

Flash back to 2.1

Can someone lead me to the files I need to flash my Fascinate back to 2.1 from the Froyo update. I'm not sure what files or Odin i need to do this. I'm having an issue with my 3G disappearing and dropping since going to the OTA froyo and never had problems with it on 2.1 so i'm trying to go back to stock 2.1, maybe even try to goto Froyo again [maybe something got corrupted or something]. Before i got about getting a new one, i'd like to see if I can flash back to 2.1 and get it working again.
There's a stock package that you can use to Odin back to DL09 (eclair) here. That same thread gives an easy way to get back to froyo if you want to try again.
Alternatively, if you're just having connectivity issues, you could simply try another radio. Some people have a better time with DL09 modem, at least compared to EB01 and EC01 (not sure whether anyone finds it better than the current one), and you can Odin just the modem here. You might want to try this first and see if it does the trick. DL09 modem works fine with leaked froyo releases, so it should be okay with the official one.

Here is an all together Rom, Theme, Radio, one stop shopping for you courtest of nitsuj17, cause he is that nice. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013312
And a link to fix everything, instructions, files, programs, another one stop shop, but for fixing tour oops during the learning process, courtesy of me, I am helpful but i don't think anyone ever accused me of being nice. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1026746
Have fun, learn away, and don't be scared of it. Trust me, I have only heard of one person not having success recovering their phone, that was today so it is still undetermined if they were successful or not. Don't you wish a car had that kind of success rate.

Do you think changing the radio version or whatever will fix my problem here. I mean in my search to find out if anyone else has been having their 3G randomly disappear i havent see to much report. I just dont get how it was working fine with 2.1, once i installed froyo it started this problem, now im flashed back on 2.1 and it seems still "broken." Even the Verizon techs had no idea what was going on with it when i took it in. I mean can software screw up the hardware?
I was told by a Verizon rep that they knew that this OTA update would cause this problem in a certain percentage of devices and they just sent me a new one. The second in 2 weeks. When I went in and complained they just went straight to the computer and ordered me a new 1 both times, no ?'s asked really. Just hope you're still under warranty.

T-Bolt 4g internet drop

So I'm currently rooted running Thunderstick Gen 2 which is an older ROM. I'm just curious if there has been a new radio that has been released within the last couple of months? My 4g service never use to drop completely like this before. Some times in broad open areas where I SHOULD get internet service, my internet service drops completely. Should I just go ahead and swap to a newer up to date ROM or should I flash a new radio? I really don't want to flash a new ROM since I really like this set up and I don't really want to. And also, I kind of forgot how to flash ROM's anyways haha :O Any tips or information helps! Thanks!

I am dumb and shouldn't mess with my phone when it works X100

So I feel really dumb because I am S-off and rooted using Tranquility ICS Rom HBOOT 1.12.PRI 2.45_003 PRL 25006 Baseband 1.12.11.0809 but my cell signal just drops when I am making calls. Could I have damaged the radios somehow while getting to root and S-off? Things haven't been the same since I tried to use CM10. I put CM10 on just after I rooted and flashed I put CM10 on it and that is when I started to notice my radios would just drop. Almost as if they were rebooted. Then I takes me a long time to get a good connection back. Could flashing the wrong firmware for your radios damage them? Not sure if I did that or not but I may have.
I was happy with stock but I wanted to tether every once in a while and that is why I did it. I am horrible and a very bad phone guy.(said with a little chuckle even though it is true)
If you can, please lend me some advice.
Thank you in advance. I really should stop playing with my phones as I am not savy enough to not break them. However I love to tinker but I think I will stick with full sized computers as I know how to fix them.

Is this the wrong place to put this?

Okay so friday night I went with the stock rotted rom and Kaboom. My radios returned to normal. Not only that but after going with the custom roms I was having major battery issues(only 13 hours worth with limited use). I cleared the battery stats and charged it Friday into Saturday. I didn't need to recharge until tonight. 1day 8hrs 43mins with a good amount of use. I even used the wifi for about 2 hours at home installing all my apps that didn't get a proper titanium backup for some reason. Everything is back to normal. That is very strange because a lot of guys using those roms say they get similar if not better battery life. Could be me. Thanks guys for the info.

Glad it worked for you. I've played with the AOSP roms, but I'm holding out til someone ports a Jelly Bean Sense Rom over. Til then, try Viper 2.3

HTC One Cross Compatible stuff

Hi guys,
so what i've been noticing is there is alot of stuff in the HTC One international version section and i've heard and seen people running different stuff from there.
i think it might be a good idea to start a thread or something that can link to those specific threads about kernel's or roms that work on our phone. I've already loaded up a battery % mod from there that works with our phone. that might get the ball rolling.
from what i heard all the roms are cross compatible since pretty much no one adds firmware into their roms just the OS software and thats it. *correct me if i'm wrong*
though the one thing to be weary about is since the tmobile wifi calling is built into our stock rom if you want to keep it you'd have to mod the current rom file we're using. if you use the international roms it will not have wifi calling since their roms stock dont come with it.
Just a thought to get the ball rolling on roms. I'm one to not really care about wifi calling since i mean most of us are on the new tmobile non contract unlimited lines anyways so theres no need to worry about going over minutes. you'd be only worried about it if your out of the country or in a place that has really bad signal and want to use wifi to make a call.

Everything over there will work with our phone. I'm not sure why they made a different section.

Help needed big time

I lost the actual phone on this Rooted S4 mdk bootloader with philz latest. I'm honestly kinda tired of this phone. Maybe I'm not used to Sammy n It's backwards way who knows. I'm on a family share plan and this month was killer I used 2.5 gb off a 3 plan. I believe Rouge app or a new router I'd to blame.
Brief history on latest Baja now n was when issue was noticed. I got a voice mail (well 3 umm girlfriend jail call to me lol a story for another time) Flashed Slim bean (slimkat 4.4.2) real quick the other night, but couldn't figure out how to get it to see ext sdcard, made backup. Went back to Baja. Issue started so I tried flashing to hyperdrive no luck, Bonestock same results. Did a full odin bts with full wipe with no luck. I have data and wifi n my speakers work, just no calls on or out at all. I've tried different modems with no success. My stupid sister said maybe it's my Sim card. Help! Thanx y'all
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
This should probably be in the Q&A section - but nonetheless are you sure your modem and apnhlos match? Had some weird crap happen to me and flashing the MDK modem/apnhlos solved it. Just a thought. Not sure your sim card is bad if you can get data/wifi........anybody?
