Hey, guy must have apps for lg g2 root user ! - G2 General

1: lg g2 tweak.apk or lg g2 xposed.apk~ you can changed status bar icon or some cool tweak ...
You can download it in the android Market.
Works with( xposed installer apk.) ! Important Application for themes and changing screen size.
2: freegee free** root required** .apk_ you can install cwm or twrp in one click! no computer needed :~). Also available in the android market for free.
3: Kingo Android Root~ to root the phone in one click. Required computer.
4: Rom Manager~ Alot of features so check it out.
3: rom toolbox pro apk~ change your status bar icon ~ battery, wifi, and all you can think of.
4. Lucky patcher.apk ~to patch apk files you have downloaded in the internet.(patch ads and google licence), now this might not be legal so be careful use it at your own risk.
5. File explorer.apk~ Use it to extract .Zip .rar files or send apk file to friends.
6.root explorer.apk ~ Use it to removed or add files to your root system( like applications)
7.lg tool ~ to flash back to stock after you have mess everything up, because not everybody knows or remember to create back ups !
If you want links to this application just tell me. In case you can't find it in Google.
Note: all this applications have being successfully tested with LG LS 980.

Lg G2 isn't a supported device on kingo.

ROM Manager isn't available on the Play Store anymore

I would be more carefull. It's very dangerous to install recovery (CWM or TWRP) via android app as Goo manager, ROM Manager or freeze ... . In every tutorials they write, to install recovery via PC, it will be the most safe one.

So you think this would work for the AT&T D800 as well? The site is conflicting because under root section it says all devices supported but then it also has a supported device section of which the g2 isn't listed.
Just wondering if this would be an option after returning to stock to take the AT&T update because I don't thin the ioroot method works for D800 after the update.

Yes, I don't see why it wouldn't.

Adaway its not a tool for root user since adaway will make some google applications to mal function just because you are removing programming code that might just be interested to a program. If you really want to know which apk is supporting ad removing just use lucky patcher which remove apk check to remove ad.

Adaway doesn't touch any programming code. It modifies the hosts file so that when an add is trying to load, It can't find the actual ad. I have NEVER seen it cause any problems with any google applications. It can cause problems with some apps that have ads to deeply integrated in them, but that is extremely rare.
Luckypatcher on the other had modifies that actual apk to attempt to remove the code that tries to load the ad. But if I am not mistaken, it only removes google ads, it doesn't look for ads from other companies. That said, the primary use of luckypatcher is for warez (which is why it's illegal), so I wouldn't link to it.

Ok the way you use lucky patcher is ~ download the apk you don't run it just open lucky patcher to check what does it have if its ad or google licence which you can remove sometimes not always why? because its lucky patcher not always work just like adaway. Google won't let you open application because its under google copy rights wich you can remove( .apk you have downloaded over the internet or the one someone send you ) how to get free paid apps you ask ? Just google (name).apk... best site 4shared for free apk. Now do this on your own. not responsible for any legal action: )

Soo adaway doesn't work for SGSIII?
Edit: I tried adfree again and it still doesn't work with your options. I get ads still. It could be because it doesn't let me register .. that is not working.

Just because you have superuser doesn't mean you have root. Superuser is an app, so if you have it, that means it successfully sideloaded the apk. The superuser app needs root to unlock the proper permissions for it to work. Download root checker from the play store. This app will let you know if you are fully rooted or not.
Update your binary files in your SU app.

AdAway works just fine with my SGS3 here, and was one of the main reasons I rooted (and all it does is download known adserver address files and merges them into /system/etc/hosts on your phone where they're nullrouted).
Code:
[email protected]:/system/etc # ll hosts
-rw-r--r-- root root 761928 2012-07-16 18:56 hosts
[email protected]:/system/etc # wc -l hosts
25384 hosts
[email protected]:/system/etc # tail -4 hosts
127.0.0.1 download.funwebproducts.com
127.0.0.1 ads.watchmygf.net
127.0.0.1 ads.imdb.org
127.0.0.1 ads06.focalink.com
AdAway is better than AdFree, too, for two reasons:
1) AdAway is open source & pulls from and merges the same hostfile sources that AdFree does
2) AdFree is closed source, and the developer is known for putting out updates without adding any WhatsNew CHANGELOG, which is a big no-no especially for root apps.
Anyway, how did you root? And try running the Superuser app's binary updater.

Exactly. AdAway > AdFree and works fine on GS3. In fact last I knew it doesn't require busybox to function, just proper root. I'd say your su/Superuser is messed up. See if you can use Superuser to update su binary and make sure it can detect it.
I think I might have lost root from the OTA update.
I'm going to go root again.
Is there a root method that works for the current OTA update?
I believe the same one works

Installed it on my S4 and it worked GREAT. Thanks for doing this. My tablet is not one of the one's listed in on the DirecTV web site as a certified device so I can't even download it. I decided to give this a try and it works great.

If Paul can add this to the toolkit, there is no need to modify the APK and we can keep the play store version installed.

It takes me two minutes to remove the root and custom rom check (as well as the other things that they check before allowing end user to use the app)
Sure he could do that, but he would have to update his code everytime the app is updated as well. (Package names change, app dev "attempting" to preform checks other ways therefore changing the code and so forth are many reasons I wouldnt think he would bother)
If you have a precaution about running an app that someone (in this case me) has modified (for any reason ) and you want to use the original application you know u can "hide root" with many third party apps, and its even possible with supersu. This way would allow you to use un altered app.
To recap, I have no problem with any additional solutions to reach the same end result. There are many ways to get the same result.
Cheers

That said, from a clean reboot ( simply for less cluter) run a logcat and launch app grab the failure and send it to me.
Edit:
After some quick googling thats not an app or os problem but something on "thier" side of things.
Google " error code AR/1001" and you'll find what I found .

Barclays App Not Working after rooting my s3

Hi all
I have been looking for a fix for the Barclay's banking app not working after rooting the S3. I just get an error message saying RG24 Barclays mobile banking dosen't support rooted devices.
I have tried the hide my root app, that didn't work.
I used the CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar
Any suggestions much appreciated
Both this & Sky Go are why I have an unrooted stock rom with jkay mods & theme cannabalised from other themes on here.
Ii don't think there is a fix for either.
Download SuperSU, install it's binary, go to it's settings, uncheck the Enable Superuser option and use your app. When you need root just check the option again.

Rename your superuser apk to something other than superuser or supersu, force close the Barclays app and open it again. It's a bit sketchy and will report rooted every now and again but it works for me.

[HELP]- Nfl Mobile now blocking rooted phones

Can anyone please help?, as of today nfl mobile for verizon has started blocking rooted phones. Ive tried voodoo hide root..and uninstalling su..nothing works. Here is a screenshoot
The 2012 app forces you to update too
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
1. Uninstall all NFL mobile apps/versions.
2. Rename superuser.apk to su.apk (\system\apps). I navigated there using File Manager.
3. Edit build.prop key "ro.build.tags" and just delete everything on that key line behind the = sign. (build.prop is located in \system\). It should just read "ro.build.tags=". I navigated there using File Manager and edited using the File Manager text editor.
4. Restart phone.
5. Go to Play Market and install NFL mobile.
6. Profit.
Pay it forward, my brethren.

[MOD][GUIDE] ISIS patch for root - Can be used anywhere PayPass is used -1.9 and 2.0

Update (7/11/14): Updated for the July 2014 version of ISIS - New mod is 3.1
Also if this has worked for you please at least hit the thanks button!
Update (4/9/14): There are various versions below as you can see. Version 1 is meant to work with ISIS versions 1.9 and below. Version 2 works with ISIS installed before 4/9/14 (ISIS 2.0). Version 3 works with ISIS installed on or after 4/9/14 (ISIS 2.01.00-build.15.30+)
Also if this has worked for you please at least hit the thanks button!
Description: This method will help you get ISIS wallet running on your rooted Galaxy S4 as ISIS performs a root check and will not work if your phone is rooted. An alternate method is that you can hide root, busybox, etc, however, is personally less desirable for me. This will work on other devices on other carriers as well assuming you have an ISIS sim.
While I know many folks won't use ISIS or will bash it, some can't get GW installed on their device (especially on ME7) and this is the only option for them. Additionally, without widespread carrier support who knows if and when GW will be mothballed.
As always proceed at your own risk as I am not responsible for a borked phone. If you have a custom recovery always do a nandroid backup.
Note: You must have an ISIS sim card and be rooted to use this method and there are different requirements if you are using a custom ROM.
Note: If you have used the Google Wallet workaround then this should still work, however, GW will compete to complete the transaction so it must be frozen before using ISIS
Methods:
Stock TouchWiz:
Ensure phone is rooted and ISIS sim card installed
Install ISIS and verify that you are receiving the "phone is rooted, cannot start" message.
Install the Xposed framework app - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401 (read over the thread to ensure compatibility)
Open the Xposed app and click "Install/Update," it should ask for root - grant it and install
Reboot the device
Install the Xposed ISIS Root Bypass module apk - See below for links to various versions.
Launch Xposed Installer app and go to the "Modules" tab
Activate ISIS Xposed module by checking the checkbox next to it
Reboot
Open ISIS and spend away!
Other ROMs/Devices:
Ensure the necessary files are installed for ISIS/NFC functionality - some ROMs do not include all of these files or variations of them.
Other devices and some ROMs may have issues with the build.prop - you will know this if you can't see ISIS in the market or get in app errors.
Once this is done proceed with the steps listed above in the Stock TouchWiz section
Necessary files (if not on stock TouchWiz):
Code:
/system/app/NfcTest.apk (and odex if not deodexed)
/system/app/NfcNci.apk (and odex if not deodexed)
/system/app/SmartcardService.apk (and odex if not deodexed)
/system/framework/org.simalliance.openmobileapi.jar (and odex if not deodexed)
/system/lib/libnfc-nci.so
/system/lib/libnfc_nci_jni.so
/system/lib/hw/nfc_nci.MSM8960.so

Thanks for this. I am one of those you describe in the OP. I have been looking for a fix for a while.

Yup! I am up and running! While Isis isn't my first choice in mobile wallet, because of Verizon (and my over eager desire to accept an OTA without checking the forums first ) am forced to used it. After everything is set up, I can use it anywhere that has a tap-to-pay system, even if I am not in a test market city. Thanks for this

Glad it works - yeah you can use it anywhere paypass is accepted for the most part. I live in Houston and use it anywhere that has tap to pay. Got my ISIS card via the web site without issue too.
It let's me proceed in the app but doesn't activate my account and it always goes back to seeing up the account

So I installed the framework. Updated. Rebooted. Install root bypass. Enabled it. Rebooted. Launched isis and it still says I am rooted. I am using hyperdrive 9 with elite kernel. Any ideas?

Same here. I'm on the latest Eclipse TM ROM - although I'm 98% certain I don't have a secure SIM, so I'm not complaining.
I have all of the files listed in the non-stock ROM list in (in OP), but I'm also not sure how to check if they're odexed or deodexed.

Try the Xposed module below to see - I was tinkering with it as AT&T folks were having some trouble, however, I removed that part to see if I can't get it to work for you guys.
Edit: see OP for updated module.

Nope still doesn't work. It still says 1.0 as the version number. Is that accurate ?

Same. Just tried it with the same result.
Is it due to the Note II being 4.1.2 and the S4 is on 4.2.2?

That shouldn't be the problem since the app runs on 4.0 and up, but then again you never know lol

What messages are you guys getting? Is it just the root message? Does this go away when you hide su?
Also if you pastebin the /data/Xposed/debug.log that might help to see if there are any errors.
