cool. I'm doing rom dumps with "romdump", "rkdump" and "dd" tools. The system.img and user.img files are large. I like to gzip them in terminal or adb. The toolbox and busybox gzip are slow and use only %20-%25 of available cpu power. The device has 4 cores.
Please upload the pigz gzip file and put the download link here. Thanks.

sure mate here it is
pigz binary https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ufywitpf8t2glg/pigz
for everyone else put in /system/bin or xbin and set owner root/shell

is there any benchmark or simple compare with original gzip?

eee,sta s ovim mogu napravit svoj rom?
to OP:
Just to remember, is needed 64bit Operational System to use this tool or not?
@ahmedz_1991 well ramdisk tool is for making ramdisk for ppl that doesn't have linux by hand and as android requires that file perms in tar / tar.gz archive remains same and most other cygwin tools need a lot of dll files and diff tools i made this to make things easier.
@biscoitu no need it is compiled for 32-bit windows so it can be used on 32-bit / 64-bit windows
@xperiauser132 ovo su samo pomocni alati za izradu dijelova roma. za one koji nemaju linux a za ramdisk postoje odredeni zahtjevi kao file
perms...
Nice...I gonna give a look in this....
thx

[Bootanimation] Cool jedi bootanimation.zip for defy

hello!
i made this cool bootanimation from opening cinematic of force unleashed series. If you like to have this, just replace bootanimation.zip using root explorer in /system/media and provide correct permissions (rw--r--r-- or 644).
Works flawlessly with JB/cm10
check it out!

i don't know what you mean with that...can you explain a little bit more?
I mean that there are no chances of get this bootanimation on last Quarx build without erasing some apks from /system.
I have enough space in the internal memory.
great animation, i can install on latest cm10 just fine

[Boot Animation] BIOS GingerStreak 2.4.4

After lots of hesitation of upgrading to GingerStreak, because I completely bricked my precious Streak's mobo and had to get it JTAG'ed back to life, I finally bit the bullet and flashed. To my surprise, the smoothness of GS2.4.4 was so good, I decided to give something back to the community and create a BIOS boot for it.
This is a gift to all you supporters and especially DJ_Steve and Fards for their great work and endurance on this project.
Here it is:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Instructions:
Code:
ADB push it to /system/media/:
adb devices
adb remount
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media/
Now to test if it worked:
adb shell bootanimation
<press ctrl+c to quit>
OR:
store on root of SD card
open root explorer make sure to make R/W
go to SDCard and copy file
navigate to bootanimation path /system/media/
rename bootanimation.zip to something else (bootanimation1.zip) or overwrite
paste file
exit root explorer
reboot phone
Thanks for this. Any possibility of seeing what it looks like?
sgood1971, just download the file and extract the folders from the zip - you'll be able to view the pictures.
There's a screen shot but I guess dropbox is being gay again. Ill update it tomorrow with a proper screenie. Sorry guys. Gotta go to bed.

[Q] Making a CWM Flashable ZIP?

Hi guys,
I'm turning to Resurrection Remix from Stock ROM, but I misses some of the stock apps. So before I moved to another ROM i have all the APKs and ODEXs ready. But after I build the ZIP with all the necessary directory and the updater-script file build using notepad++, CWM won't install it?
Any solutions? Thanks a million.

In the first folder data, are ur apps like apk file.
In the folder meta inf are 2 file's.
Update binary and updater script.
In updater script is the script u can edit for ur cwm install routine.
I edited the script for the apk that not installed.
That's my way.
