Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.

Yeah, great another KitKat ROM's.
Many thanks for your hardwork.
Downloading and try. Will report soon :good:
EDIT : Which Gapps do I have to flash? Thanks in advance
EDIT : I used Lite Gapps from LX and its works

sorry to ask little bit off topic. Is there way we can install the kernel without PC? My windows 8.1 64bit wont let me connect my phone in my fastboot mode which is a widely known problem now. There is no solution yet. Any alternative way to flash the kernel?

Post your question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658959

The great start
Excited to see 4.4.2 on my Xpro.
Would like to see all things working than sticking to native ROM, e.g. WiFi hotspot, FM, HDMI, etc.
Testing, will report.....

Phone restarts frequently when using gallary app. Even when tried to change wallpaper.
Annoying music shuttering.
Phone hangs after playing game for some time.(e.g. Empire Defense 2)

The wait is over guys.. Official Carbon Nightlies are here.. currently building.. Will be up for downloads probably in 7hrs more.. Enjoy..

I was soooo waiting for you mate to do this ...!!
Now all i need to do again is take a deep breath , go to bed , wake tomorrow , take another deep breath back my stuff and then Reflash my phone with ur Rom =D
2 Questions though ( hope its allowed )
1) Why bluetooth is dead and why wifi is bugy ? ( seemed to work fine on the other CM releases ):angel:
2) In case i flash , will i be able to update somehow the rom instead of reflashing all over again from the beggining ?:angel:
Thank you , have a good night , i cant wait to see your answers in the morning when i wake up!:laugh::laugh:

Wifi is buggy on cm sources also.. It works usually but you may or not face issues.. But its working decent enough.. Let me know once you flash it.. It's still very initial stages of carbon as many things are yet to be merged.. good night

Placeholder means it will be actually in use in next update.. I have added the option for now.. That will stop the apps by eating more ram and memory management will be better..

It's alpha because vishal says it's alpha.
It means that the ROM is suitable only for testing or enthusiast purposes .
It may contain bugs which have not been discovered ,features that not have been implemented and situations that couldn't be replicated .

Ok, flashed.. and it boots, and works! Cool. But I don't see that second main screen with Google Now.. why? And "settings" button doesn't work in home screen menu. Is it possible to add option to edit quicksettings tiles and toggles?
EDIT: I changed the Launcher3 to GEL and it's perfect
EDIT2: Clicking on screen brightness toggle in quick settings -> clicking that gearwheel causes FC of interface.

idk if u got reply of pm or not.do check n let me know.having some net issues here.
What I see for now:
- browser lag (I know it's known)
- battery drain is high - it lasts for 24 hours now..
- some apps lag sometimes, but it's not so annoying as on 4.3.1
- Clicking on screen brightness toggle in quick settings -> clicking that gearwheel causes FC of interface.
- Once my phone lost network range, and I couldn't restore it.. Had to reboot device.
But 4.2.2 works fine, it's fast, have more free RAM, better memory management and so on
when you update, your work is wonderful

---------- Post added at 08:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:33 PM ----------
I have tried several jelly bean roms and i will always come back to gingerbread due to performance.
But Combination of your Kernel (SuperFusion ) and SuperJellyBean changed the scenario. Achieved performance in JellyBean.
Can we expect the same (or more performance) kind in KitKat, since google also stating, 4.4 can run smooth with 512MB ram itself?
All the best.. :good:
good work. i can confirm video recording works

Thanks mate, it works fine As smooth as alpha version, but with new features. I like those lockscreen options. Could u add the option to don't turn the screen on after connecting to charger? And the browser lag... is it fixed? I didn't checked it now, I'm afraid
And what about ART - would it be supported in the feature?
But performance and smoothnes is most important thanks!

Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that also enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating, or any form of "pay to flash".
"Give credit and thanks where it's due!" That's something that has fueled the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....
| OmniROM | AOKP | ChaOS | Paranoidandroid | SlimROMs | Preludedrew | Team Black Out | Official Testers / Translators |
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

thanks for another highly customizable ROM
looks promising, time to find out
I haven't installed anything since flashing the ROM, I turned on ART, rebooted, and now it's been at the bootscreen for the last 15 minutes.
Is ART not working? I see it's "not supported", but I figured it'd still work in some capacity.
EDIT : Wiped, installed different GAPPS, enabled ART = still no go.
EDIT 2: Wiped, installed GAPPS, installed custom kernel, enabled ART = still a no go.
Too bad, definitely prefer ART so this one will be a no go for me. Still a damn fine ROM though, I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
Does this include Theme engine/chooser. The OP doesn't make it clear.. I see TRDS and built in theme settings.. Is that theme engine/chooser?
Sent from my Gphone (Nexus 5)
This ROM is simply amazing!!
LOVE all that it has to offer and the BLUR Lock screen looks wicked cool after tweaking it to your liking.
By far the BEST ROM since OSE!! Thanks OP

I dont know if I am over looking it but does this rom have the T-Mobile theme engine. I know Cyanogen has a newer style but I dont see the ability to select a theme anywhere. I may be blind.

Did you flash the proper recovery for your model m8? I use TWRP religiously without issue.

yes I did. This was the only ROM I had problems flashing until I switched to Philz. managed to flash it and I must say, this is one hell of a ROM, I'm really loving it. Its fast, smooth, and responsive unlike other 4.4.4 ROMs that I tried.

Amazing ROM! It's fast, snappy, responsive, and stable.
I've got some very minor input, after using it all day:
The Navigation Bar toggle only works until I restart the phone.
After a restart, the bar comes back, and I have to toggle it on, and off again.
The Camera Quick Toggle isn't vertically centered.
In the Quick Access Ribbon, it's at the bottom of its toggle box.
Here's some screens:

Does the speakerphone mic work?
Will double tap to wake be included this is only thing stopping me from flashing
