What is OneDroid:
OneDroid is a custom ROM for Nexus 5, based on CyanogenMod. It's always up to date with latest commits directly from CM repos, optimized for best battery life and performance and offers a lot more, like pre-installed Google apps, screen recording, lots of tweaks, etc.
What is the aim of this ROM:
I made this ROM for the following reasons:
1. To provide updates as soon as code gets committed, so that you're always up to date
2. Remove features which aren't necessary, so that you get a ROM which doesn't have a lot of crap in it
3. Fix bugs and optimize the code, so that you get the most stable ROM
4. Add my own features, like custom tweaks, OTA updates and more, so that you get the best experience
Small favor:
Please don't ask for ETAs. I am studying in school (final year, ending in March) so I really can't provide exact release date for a particular build every time, at least not before March. I'll be trying my best to push out stuff as fast as I possibly could, however. I hope you guys enjoy using my ROM!
ROM Signature Image specially made for XDA (thanks Atrax_)
Features:
Based on latest CM commits, 4.4.2 KOT49H
Unsecured boot.img
Deodexed and Zipaligned
Bloatware free
Pre-rooted with latest Superuser v1.0.2.8
Pre-installed latest Google Apps
Pre-installed latest Xposed
Pre-installed latest Busybox
Fully optimized for battery life and speed (this thing flies!)
Custom init.d and build.prop tweaks related to VM, internet, ext4/mounts and more for smoothness and performance
All latest /system applications
Root Browser as default file manager, Greenify for even more battery life
Inbuilt Flash Player
GPU UI rendering
Most stable CPU governor
Custom kernel with OC support, Button Light Notifications (BLN), lots of wake options (like sweep2wake, sweep2sleep, doubletap2wake), etc
and so much more
Quick Video Review (HTC One) (thanks technostein!)

FAQ:
Q. The ROM has two dialer apps, is it a bug or an error?
A. No. The ROM comes with two dialer apps: One is the stock, AOSP dialer app and one is the Google dialer app. The stock dialer app comes without Google's new Caller ID feature so I have supplied Google dialer along with the stock AOSP dialer app, just in case someone wants to use that feature. There is no way to have that feature in stock dialer app since the code for that feature isn't open source.
Q. The video recorded by screen recorder doesn't play at times, what's wrong?
A. Its BETA.
Q. Whenever I am using 4G/LTE, the signal bars don't show any activity, does that mean LTE/4G doesn't work?
A. No, it's a glitch/bug in CM code. When you have turned on LTE/4G and don't see any network indicators, it does not mean 4G/LTE isn't working.
Q. Can I install a particular build on top of another (like, flash BETA 13 over 12) without wiping anything (dirty flash)?
A. Yes
Q. What is the name of the iconpack used in the picture at the top? Also, the wallpaper link please?
A. The iconpack is called ClickUI. Wallpaper here

Awesome to see another ROM, but isn't it not allowed to include google apps in aosp roms? Just curious because I don't remember that ever changing

In the OP what font is being used in the "One Droid" Image?

There's no clear answer: Some say it's perfectly fine since the ROM is for a certified device, some say it's against Google policies. If Google tells me to remove it, I'll do. Until then, Google Apps will come pre-loaded.

Okay I have re-installed this ROM 3 times already and I don't know if anyone else is having this problem. But I'm getting random reboots even before finishing the setup hmm unless it's a MultiRom issue but I hope I can try this one day!

Yes random reboots here too

Looking into this. It's a bit hard to diagnose issues since I don't have a Nexus 5 and I rely on a couple of friends who have it, for testing.

SlimBean 4.3 Build 2.2
Stable Build 2.2 is live! Please read the Changelog for more details including proper upgrade/installation methods, as well as notes on activating root and restoring with Titanium Backup. Changelogs since build.1: here, here, here, here and here
Changes, Features & Fixes:
Changelog from Build 2 to Build 2.2
i9100: autorotation reboot bug fixed
SuperUser security fixes
Several BT fixes
Selinux security enhancements
LID control fix
some translation upstream
nearly all device got device and kernel updates
Please note these builds are no longer under development! - we've moved to 4.4
Known Issues:
General:
New YouTube from google can cause pixelated video in HD - when you run into this issue you can only use the older YouTube version till google hopefully fixes it with an update
Recents screen in expanded desktop shows on some apps a black thumbnail
uninstalling/updating apps may cause a soft reboot.....nothing major...app is uninstalled/updated correctly. The system just tries to clear the app completly. Can usually be prevented by "Settings -> Apps -> APPNAME -> Force Stop" before uninstalling.
Device Specific:
FCs on bootup after flashing AIO (and/or Aroma) Gapps... see below for fix - Fixed!
Random reboots on auto-rotate (mostly when using YouTube and/or Camera) - Fixed!
libskia.so related FC on OfficeSuite and sync.me (and possibly others)... see below for fix
4.3 mini-FAQ
Q) Root doesn't work!
A) From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from 4.2.2 in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.
Q) Developer Options? What Developer Options? I don't see that in Settings??!?
A) By default, this is conveniently hidden from view... as it does contain settings and options that can (and will) break stuff if you don't know what you're doing. If you require access to this, Settings -> About Phone... Then tap on the Build Number 7 times.
Q) Titanium Backup isn't restoring apps!
A) Either you haven't enabled root (see above) or you need to update to latest TB
Q) QuickOffice, sync.me (insert other app here) FC's, logcat shows libskia.so issue... what do I do?
A) Get the libskia.so from here... remount /system as RW, push libskia.so to /system/lib/libskia.so, then set permissions on it to 644... (TIP: use ADB or root explorer of your choice)
Q) FM Radio?
A) Only solution is "Spirit FM Unlocked"... We don't have code for Samsung's FM Radio framework from Stock ROMs... and their app won't work without it... #blameSamsung
I'm glad you're back and ready to continue building.

ask Samsung ...btw ...what's wrong with current ones anyway?
Sorry the ROM is great, just any games freezes. From what I am reading there are different revisions of the S2 and some are more sensitive than others to the drivers. Samsung based ROMS work fine, I guess I am just unlucky.

Running smooth as butter, only issue so far is WiFi : connecting, but not getting internet through it (icon in status bar remains gray). Tried wipe/reflash, problem persisted.
WiFi in general seems to be a major 4.3 problem and Google is yet to confirm it..
Edit: found solution, might work , might not. Worth a try to whoever has the problem:

Main Features
1. Fast, stable and intended for gamers
2. Built from CM11 source with O3 optimizations, heavily debloated , no 3rd party apps are installed.
3. CM kernel included.
4. Additional tweaks ( vary from version to version )
5. For those people who love ROMs with lots of themes , customizations , apps etc , please leave now , you will be disappointed , this ROM is not for you.
I understand that my ROM will sound simple and backward to many, but it is a stable and fast base for gaming, probably the fastest without OC, and with OC, it flies.......
Due to the cleanness of this ROM, it will provide exceptional battery backup too.
So do you users want a clean gaming oriented ROM or do you want your gaming to be riddled with problems and lags forever?
Feature Requests accepted, but only stuff which enhances the speed and stability, or betters gaming speed without lessening stability will be added.
Known Bugs
Some minor CM bugs
Install Procedure for best performance
You should take a nandroid backup if anything goes wrong
Points to note: I do not have a Galaxy S2. This ROM is tested by one of my users. So , you report the bugs, and fixing them may take time.
1. Wipe data , cache , dalvik cache (required while changing layout)
2. Format system and datadata (required while changing layout)
3. Install CyanAOSP ROM.
4. Install my Gapps package (required) , link below.
5. Set up the ROM and leave it alone for 10-15 mins.

I will search for the video fix this weekend.
And I know about RAM, I added that line intentionally, those stuff not only eat RAM, but keep the CPU busy too. I noticed better performance and response and battery too with that line (tested on both Galaxy S and Galaxy S3)
EDIT: If the video fix is this one - Here (merged about 13 days ago)
Then its already merged in my source, and should be working fine. I found no other changes which affects video in the source links in Wayland's build thread.
I've tried the ROM for a day and i found these bugs:
The video camera does not work.
The function of lantern does not work.
The ROM does not have browser.
Missing some translations into Spanish.
For a call i touch accept the call several times to receive the call.
Rest all is well!

Video camera already reported.
Torch and browser are removed, not bugs.
All recent translations at time of building are merged, so you must wait for CM to get better translations.
The call lag is there in a lot of devices with kk.

OP, do you have sound in video recording? Is the camera app stable? Other than that i like the idea of this rom, pure stock AOSP, no mods
@Cocolopes
Yes it's based on SuperNexus and has some of those features, I will list exactly which ones in OP later today but no it won't receive SuperNexus changes.
Edit: OP updated
@Mashed_Potatoes
I haven't tested it yet, I will test shortly and let you know. As far as camera goes, it's been working spot on for me. I don't use any scene modes or whatnot but as for just using it to generally snap a pic of something - it works fine.
Edit: Audio in video is working, I found a bug with video camera though, see Bug List post #3.

I'd try either turning assert on or off in recovery (if possible).
Will sort the problem in next build.
Edit: As this was based on SuperNexus, for the next build, should I base it purely on AOSP or continue using this base?

Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!

For now mokee rom work without real bugs but the problem is cyano 11s kernel. Today there is a new kernel for this phone and audio apk and lib are different from standard cm11. For example oneplus have a custom dsp manager and not cm 11 dsp manager
does it work on China version OPO?

Hello,
Can I make 4k movies with default camera in this rom? I'm asking because on CM11 I can only make 4k movies with built in camera. With any other app - 1080p max.
[edit]
I really like your work. But as I said, it's impossible to make 4k movies. There is standard, old KK Camera inside - unable to make 4k movies, unable to create spherical photos. How to flash CM 11s camera app into your rom? Another issue - there are some chinese unwanted apps and chinese notification that seems to be impossible to remove.

Ok but camera without 4k is not nice. Do you have any ideas? Actually this camera issue is the only reason why I returned to CM 11s
Not so cool for this version.
Run it from oneplus, but some file is missing after rebooting.
Then all of profile configuration, such USB debug mode, icon bar, all of things are disappear.
Can not use, not stable.

Hi,
I don't have speech recognition support, should I flash some other gapps?
Full gapps breaks camera, minimal gapps won't add google voice typing integrated with google keyboard (for example, for sms etc). Any tips? Help?
It seems some libraries included in full gapps causes problems with camera. Are you going to prepare gapps package that add all google services but won't break other things like camera?

My builds are set up to build 11 devices every day with the latest Vanir Sources. Now I can't promise every nightly will work but most of the *SHOULD*. I have tested the builds that my scripts have spat out before and they all work just as well as if I did it by hand. This just saves me time and effort. I am also looking for a easy way to mirror. Google Drive is just super easy to upload to with my scripts but I would love to have a mirror that updates automatically too. Let me know if you have ideas.

As these are automated builds I will be posting changes to "Build Sets", these are changes to the automation process that are done by me. All other changes that happen from night to night are from base vanir.

Unique scripts for less compatible devices and tablets. (Set 1)
Added m8 and klte (Set 2)
Lockscreen disable power menu (Updated) (Set 2)
In Call Recording (Set 2)
Tweaks to the building scripts. (Set 2)
Privacy Guard Notification Options (Set 3)

Cleaned up Automation Scripts and Followed proper coding style. (Set 3)
Got Cron Working. Builds will be built at midnight every night. (Set 3)
Updated build scripts (Set 4)
Using ccashe for faster builds (Set 4)
Changes to Lockscreen Power Menu Switch (Faster) (Set 5) (Coming Soon to all VanirAOSP Builds)

Fixes to clang errors preventing builds. Thanks Chris! (Set 5)

Latest Vanir Changes (Updated Nightly)
Have an Idea? Suggest it! I am always looking for new things to cherry-pick into these kangs. No Idea is a bad idea. Just some Idea's aren't going to but into my personal builds.

They have the exact same base just with new stuff added on top for my builds so it *SHOULD* be fine, but I make no promises. When dirty flashing there is ALWAYS a risk to be had. I dont see any reason why it wouldn't work. Just be prepared to wipe if you flash and run into weird errors.
To be careful I would:
Wipe (/system, /cashe, /davlik)
Flash Rom and Gapps of your choice
Flash Kernel or Fixes you want (Many kernels dont work properly with vanir but I know uber does with the fixes I have made for it.
Reboot to system.

AOSP Kernels need to edit the Ramdisk in order to be used with vanir because it is a CAF-Hybrid. Uber has scripts that it runs when it is installed to make these edits, but MANY kernels do not. I find it doubtful that franco would. The main changes that need to be changed are the PM Drivers because the Vanir Kernel uses CAF one and AOSP use AOSP ones so you need to change where it searches for the PM drivers in the ramdisk.
If you run an incombaitble kernel your battery will drain to no end. if you look in the battery status it will say that the android system is draining all the battery by keeping the device awake. (Basicly the PM drivers arent running) The way to fix this is to edit the ramdisk. There are like 20 lines or so you need to edit. It can be done manually but you cant mess it up or you might get a bricked phone.
The uber fix I have listed fixes some audio bugs that uber and other AOSP kernels have with vanir. In short it is do-able to make franco combatible with Vanir, but the scripts aren't in place and franco would need to do or someone who wants to kang his work.
