[MOD][XPOSED][4.0+] SoftkeysFadeMod v1.2 [04 Jan 2014] - Xposed Framework Modules

Softkeys Fade Mod
Fades the softkeys to black after not touching it for some time
(for Xposed Framework)
Note: This doesn't hide the navigation bar at all. This only hides the softkeys/buttons.
What is SoftkeysFadeMod?
SoftkeysFadeMod is a unique found only in Cataclysm ROM by atl4ntis
It was originally posted here as a teaser.
This is slightly different from the one in Cataclysm ROM since it's code is not open sourced.
Why use SoftkeysFadeMod?
As said by the original creator himself here, it is to prevent AMOLED screen burn in's and give your phone a nice minimalist look.

There is only one thing I'm missing - on CataclysmRom they call it softkeys fade mode, which makes the softkeys bar icons (back, home recent apps) look like almost invisible dots, just like in stock camera app.

done your request.

Great mod, but it's not working perfectly on Nexus 5, Kitkat 4.4.2.
You can download video here. Take a look at the softkeys.
Still, great idea, thanks, for creating this mod!

Would this work on Nexus 7 2013?
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 7 mit Tapatalk

Great job. But also some problems on n5 4.4.2 with doubled icons and unable to tap Home sometimes.

Great work as always bud

Works great on stock LG G2. I did find a bug though. The soft keys stay on the screen if I pull down the notification panel. Interestingly, it's only the two middle soft key buttons.

@zst123 thank you SO MUCH for this. I've been looking forward to someone building this module for a while now.

Amazing module. One request, tho. Could you add the values from 0-499 in fade delay. I would like to set mine to 0.

in addition, I would like it if I can input the time for fade and fade time myself instead of having to scroll through all the numbers 1 by 1.

[MOD][XPOSED]CyanogenMod PieControlls Mod

So I really liked the CyanogenMod PieControlls, but the color was allways the same.
So I made this mod :
It enables PieControls on devices without Softkeys:
->Enable Softkeys->Goto System Settings and activate the expanded desktop -> select the option to show the statusbar in expanded desktop -> configure PieControls
this is a nice tutorial : -> http://www.geordienorman.com/pie-control-cyanogenmod/
It makes PieControls fully themable:
You can theme every part of PieControlls.
This Mod works on any device with Cm 10.1 or Cm 10.2.
Download it here
screenshots are attached
Wow, that's awesome:laugh:Thanks a lot:good:
If anybody is experiencing download issus like page not found, just be patient google play is still processing it.
Thanks a lot
What happens with the menu key? Does it show up in the pie controls if an app requires the menu button (like in the Nexus 4 and the Galaxy Nexus and other phones that use touch-based navigational buttons)?
That's the only reason I don't use pie controls in general (yeah, I know, silly reason )

I don't really get what you mean...
But on cm 10.2 you can go into expanded desktop and you wont see the softkeys.
On Cm 10.1 you have to disable the softkeys after configuring pie.

Basically, on Android, the menu button is supposed to be within the app itself. If it's not, the Nexus phones (or devices with a navigation button bar) show a menu key (the three vertical dots).
With your module, do we see those three dots if an app requires it, or not?
IIRC, CM10 always showed the three menu buttons so it kinda became a little redundant.

http://www.geordienorman.com/pie-control-cyanogenmod/This is a great tutorial with picturs, I put this in the main post.
I'm running this on CM 10.2 for the Atrix HD. Everything is working great except for one thing. I have the "Long press to kill app" option enabled for my Back button. Whenever I long press the button, it is turning blue. I don't see an option to to change this color. Am I missing something?

[MOD][XPOSED][2018/3/20 6.3]Android NavBar Buttons

This Xposed module allows you to change the NavBar buttons on your Xperia/AOSP devices. On stock ROM, there're only three buttons on the NavBar (Back, Home and Recent Apps). Now you can have complete control of the buttons and how they look like.
Features
Show or hide Recent Apps, Menu and Search buttons
Re-order buttons
18 themes with different colors
Use your own images for buttons http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53045744&postcount=136
Restart SystemUI to see changes immediately without rebooting (Busybox required)
Activate changes on the fly without root (Nougat only)
Define left and right margin
Define navbar height
Define search button action
Requirements
Your phone must be rooted
Xposed framework must be installed first http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Xposed library 2.2 is required
Instructions
Install the module
Run Xposed Installer and enable the module Android NavBar Buttons
Reboot the phone
If you want to use your own button images, check out this link.
Permissions
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - store stock button images for preview
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - read stock button images for preview
GET_TASKS - used by Switch to Last App function
REORDER_TASKS - used by Switch to Last App function
Limitations & supported devices
I developed this module based on AOSP source code and tested only on my Xperia devices. I expect it to work also on AOSP devices such as Google Nexus. You can try it on other devices but I don't expect it to work universally, especially HTC and Samsung devices because their framework is heavily modified.
If you enable this module and Tinted Status Bar together, the color for the Home/Menu/Recent/Back buttons will be controlled by Tinted Status Bar while the Search button color will be controlled by this module.
If you're also using GravityBox, you must disable Navigation Bar Tweaks. Otherwise, this module won't work.
Currently the following devices are supported: (to be updated)
Sony Xperia ZR stock 4.3 ROM
Sony Xperia V stock 4.3 ROM
Sony Xperia ZL stock based custom ROM/eXistenZ
Sony Xperia SP ExistenZ 3.3.0
Sony Xperia T
Sony Xperia M dual stock 4.2.2 ROM
Sony Xperia Z1 4.4 ihackers 4.1
Sony Xperia Z1 Compact stock KK ROM
Sony Xperia Z stock 4.3 ROM
Nexus 5 stock 4.4.2
Nexus 7 (2013) stock 4.4.2
MUCH i5s
Moto G stock 4.4.2 ROM
Moto X stock 4.4.2 ROM
Samsung Galaxy Lollipop or older devices (you need to set qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 in build.prop to enable Navbar)
Samsung Galaxy Marshmallow or higher devices
Sony Xperia X series devices Marshmallow ROM
Credits
I used this guide to help me develop this module. This document is outdated but the concept is still the same.
Huge thanks to atticus182 for his great work of Softkey collection
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/themes-apps/softkeys-softkey-collection-t1413582
Thanks to C3C076 for his wonderful GravityBox! This module uses some of his codes for search button actions.
Supports & troubleshooting
If you're using Android 6 and are unable to see folders when importing image files for user define theme, you need to grant Storage permission in App settings.
If you find that this module doesn't work on your device and see FC repeatedly and both notification and navigation bar disappeared, don't panic! Just run Xposed Installer, disable this module and reboot.
If you want me to add support for your device, please send me the following:
Xposed log file
Your device model
Android and ROM version
Deodexed /system/app/SystemUI.apk or you can send me a link for the ROM
** I can only work on Xperia/AOSP devices at the moment, please don't send requests on other devices **
** CM ROM is not supported because it has its own implementation of NavBar **

Oh that makes sence actually. For some reason my ROM (Stock-which is a slightly modified AOSP on my MUCH i5s) disabled and hid the Recents button from the navbar leaving a gap on the right, I was hoping this would solve that issue. Well thanks anyway, I will keep this modual enabled as I do like the looks of the navbar now rather than just two buttons
But if there was a way to enable it or have something in it's place to do the same thing, i would love to know.
Thank you!

Please try this test build. You may like to test it in different orientation (portrait, landscape) and different modes. Some apps turns the buttons into small dots in fullscreen mode, such as camera. There may still be bugs. :silly:
Doesn't seem to change anything
Though when on landscape mode I so have this bug, it does nothing if pressed but if held it opens search.

Return home, and recent menu so hopefully no more and add an interface, still thank you for all your contributions so far.

Reboot your device and spam the power button. This will disable the xposed framework and all the modules. You can then go and change the settings in the module or disable it and reboot.
Hi,
Great idea!
Few things though:
It would be very nice that the things you mention in OP would be realized. I tried this on a GT-I9505 (galaxy mega 6.3) and such phone needs it for the keyboaard only IMHO. Other apps are no problem to have them fullscreen. So maybe:
- on per app basis (where keyboard is an app too)
- masterswitch in notification area or as widget (or any place that can be reached easily to switch keyboard to one side)
Kind regards,
Treare

this module is quite handy and great compared to samsung's own one hand operation.
its a great work.
hope to see many neww things in future :good::good::laugh::laugh:
This is cool.
Did you consider to have function like T2 Ultra's single-handed mode?
(double tap home button to drop everything to the bottom.

Ok, had to update to newest framework but the mod isn't working correctly
Nothing appears, just the title bar as seen on screenshot.
I'm currently running CM-based ROM (kitkat) on my N7100.
Not working on Sprint Note 3 running Sprint S5 ROM

[MOD][Xposed] Xtended NavBar

Xtended NavBar
Xtended NavBar is an Xposed Framework module that adds an extra functionality to the navigation bar.
Swipe from the edges to change to Music player or Quick settings. Swipe back to show the navigation buttons again.
In the donate version you can also show favorite apps.
Playstore | Xposed Repo
Compatibility:
This module was developed for AOSP based roms. Don't expect it to work on heavily modified non AOSP based roms like Sense, Touchwiz.
Should be compatible with some other navigation bar customization modules.
It's recommended to do a nandroid backup if you're using the app for the first time.

I think you should change description, it's not "Concept video", it's really working! Well done!
Wow! really cool app! works well on my Moto G PA 4.4 RC2
I think a good idea for a panel would be a camera shutter button
Awesome

Great idea, i'll definitely add more stuff in future and this might be one of those things.
Doesn't work on Carbon Rom latest nightly, doesn't even show up, any ideas? Donated too :/
(Wifi is broken on latest nightly too though on Nexus 4 so I wouldn't read too much into that)

Thank you, i will investigate this issue.
well
Awesome work
was planning to make something similar
but you beat me to it
nice work though
Great idea. Like djsubterrain said, doesn't work on carbon ROM. Cant wait till it does though. Any chance you could upload it to the xposed app also?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I've got SlimRom nand backup too, I'll try it on there.
EDIT: Yeah, doesn't work on that either, I think both are based on CM11 though if that makes a difference. Also, I had changed the choice of navigation bar buttons, would that matter?]
I use menu, home, back and long pressing on back brings up recents.
If it helps, My face unlock also didn't show when I disabled the nav bar, when I enabled it again, back came the face unlock.
In other views...I wish xposed would go on the play store and have integration so your choice of modules could be saved under your google account.
I wish this was open source...
I really would like to use this one!
Very cool, nice job! I'm excited to use this.
Edit - ditto on the open source request.

any reason why you obfuscate a free xposed module?

You've done a better job than what I planned actually. I was going to have a button on the very left of the bar
When you pressed the button the Home button would become Play, Back would become Rewind and so on
When you pressed it again it would turn back
Never even thought if swiping :good:

I was thinking about made it open source and i think i will in a near future.
One idea I had for it to stop accidental swipes would be to pinch to toggle a lock on the present page, good idea?
Well thank you! It's not that I want to copy anything but you know the power of Xposed shouldn't be underrated
Thank you!
thank you very much, works perfectly on my Galaxy S4-i9505 Android 4.4.2
You can add the Spanish language?

I think it's already difficult to open sometimes, so i don't believe this is a problem. I might add this anyways in a future update.

Navigation Gestures

Today I installed the app "Navigation Gestures" by XDA and it looks really beautiful on the phone.
I also used the app "Blank Icons" to create a blank space in the lower part of the home screen, so that I had nothing under the navigation pill. (See attached screenshot)
I think the app is worth a try!
EDIT: the navigation buttons disappear if you are on one of the stock themes; with other themes they remain visible underneath the bar.

I would be nice if you probaly show off how you were able to remove the navigation dots [emoji16]... I finished the adb thing, and followed all other action discriptions in the app...
Bar is there... but also the old dots...

The navigation buttons disappear on their own (on stock themes, at least; I found that with other themes they don't go away).

Yes, it happens to me, too. I hope they will address this issue in the next releases!
UPDATE: with new beta version (1732) is possible to have gestures without the pill (OnePlus 6 style).
(To receive beta versions enter the telegram group linked in the related XDA article!)
Native gesture navigation works on Pie
Guys it has been achieved through ADB
https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...apps/pie-xperia-10-10-plus-launcher-t3905699/
But you have to use the XPERIA 10 launcher port or else the stock launcher will crash if you try going to recents menu.

Hi, I'm using the navigation gestures app with the oneplus preset on my stock sony Z5, but I'm facing an issue with the stock home launcher. I have an empty space between the dock and the bottom end of the screen (exactly where the navigation bar was). I tried all the compatibility and advanced settings in the app but makes no difference. How do you solve the issue?
p.s. no problem with other launchers.
Thank you

Hi! Actually I quit using xda's Navigation Gestures, and I'm currently on Fluid Navigation Gestures beta - thath I find more customizable.
With that said, I didn't have that problem with the first releases of the app (although I had a large space between the first row on the home screen and the dock, as you can see in the image in my previous post; that's present also in Fluid N. G.).
Try installing and old version of the app (they shold be still available on the Telegram group) and see how it works, maybe it's a bug introduced with latest releases and you can report it to the developers!
(Sorry if I couldn't be very helpful)

Hi, no worries and thank you anyway. Yesterday I installed a newer version of Xperia home (posted by someone here on xda) and it solved the issue.
I also gave a try to fluid navigation and it's properly good. I'll stay with it for a while to see if works better.
Thanks again for your feedback.
Hello everyone
I want to share simple trick, unfortunately requires root...
I love navigation gestures app it is so customizable!
Here are my setting which I liked most:
-Home like in Samsung gestures down swipe
-Recent app down, centered, hold
-Back right side of screen swipe
-Split screen down, left and swipe hold
-last app down, right and swipe hold
Ta-dah! now you have improved android 10 gestures (you decide if you wish have visible pill or not)
As you can see I have whole screen to use
What I have done is reachable in two ways:
-Install app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.conena.navigation.bar.remover
-Manual build.prop edition. Search line in build.prop located or vendor partition and edit it from
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
to
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
Reboot
I'm not responsible if you corrupt your device, I'm just sharing what I did...
On xz1c with lineageos16 I used app
On XZ1 with lineageos16 I edited manuallymanuall if I'm wrong just correct me... I'm only a human
Click to collapse
Have fun!
Edit: I flashed Sony apps enabler and installed apkmirror or play store Sony apps including home music album
Other advantage for editing qemu.hw.mainkeys is you got one more column on statusbar!
