Phone not working after unroot/stock recovery - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi forum, first I would like to thank you all for being what you are =) I'm pretty new here and I see a great community with great guides!
So, so start with I would like to say I'm a newbie when it comes to moding my phone, but what I did was I following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529775 and it worked ou t great. I was on 4.4 KitKat but I saw a few apps acting weird etc, so I deicided to go back to stock.
I found this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2323847 and I followed the steps and now my phone is back to stock with just one little problem (pretty huge actually ;P). I get "Not registered on network" whenever I try to call and SMS/mobiledata doesnt work. The simcard works just fine in my other phone (Walkman).
I have followed a few guides to fix the problem but none of the worked for me. I have tried:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7K6RDVRBhs
http://www.idroidspace.com/solved-not-registered-on-network-for-samsung-galaxy-devices/
and formating ofc
My IMEI number seem allright in settings.
IMEISV is 06 if that matters.
Please forum, help me fix my phone, it would mean ALOT to me. Please ask for more info if needed, just remember that im a newbie at this =)
Its a i9300
Thanks alot for reading this! Take care // Saiyin

I got 3 files when I backed up, efs_img_backup.tar[1], efs_backup.tar[1] and csc_backup.tar[1].
When you say use, do you mean, just open them with the explorer, and do I have to root my phone to do this?

That didnt work, when I put the 3 files in the folder they should be, the "restore" button got removed.
Also, they were not .gz files, skydrive tricked me. They are .tar files that winrar can open, I am really confused about this. Do you have any tips on how to proceed?

First there is only a backup button, when I press that, I create the files and the restore button appear, then I replace the files with my files from before when I backed up. Then I restarted the phone, and there is still just the one backup button left.

Looks like there is a protective software layer on your Ace.
Guess you have to buy one yourself if you want to play with it.

Just use odin. Find cool firmware and upload it on your phone. Now your phone is fully reinstalled. Worked for my dads phone. Was also blocked

How can I flash it? After boot is only screen for login to job app.
You don't need to completely reboot your device, you just need to go to recovery and flash it from there,I dont have much knowledge about flashing kernels but somebody else here will be able to surely help u out....

I think you can install any app on a protected device using adb from an normal pc. But I don't know how to run it, but i think when you install an other launcher and press home you should able to run the launcher (I think the protect app works as a launcher).
I was just trying to explain to him how he could flash a kernel though, not a fix..

Ok. Now I know everything. I will stay with original app. I do not need to change kernel, I do not need to change rom. I want to use this phone in normal way(not only with my job app). But what I can read, this is difficult or impossible to do.
Thanks everyone for replays!

Dear Noob..you cannot change the IMEI number yourself..you need to have a backup of your EFS folder for that..if you backed it up use the Ktools app to restore the nav_data.bin file...
Otherwise Service Center..
I hope it helped..
P.S. Post questions in the Q&A section..it is there for a reason..
I also flashed omega v14 and ended up the same as you

Looks like you are in deep trouble.
Considering you are asking this question in general section, I'll take the liberty of assuming that you did not backup your efs folder.
May be someone else can pitch in here to help you. Meanwhile you can confirm if you have the backup of efs folder or not?

Here is a guide to repair your IMEI from the SGS2 Forum! It should be the same! I solved my IMEI problem with this Guide on my SGS1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264021
[GUIDE] Recover your IMEI in 9 steps.
It is very important that you back up your efs before flashing any ROM, and before you folow this guide BACKUP the faulty efs folder because it contains the old backup of the file nv_data.bin. It beginns with a dot like .nv_data or similar (because I haven't a SGS3, but the structure of the efs folder should be similar).
Please be carefully and think twice what you are doing!!!
