Just Bought an HTC ONE X+ - HTC One X+

Can't wait! I have always wanted the One X+ since it was announced. I have the HTC One Dual Sim right now, but due to lack of development support and weight, I am going to "downgrade" to the One X+. I am excited to get it! I feel the one X+ suites me better, smaller with less weight

But the X+ overheats... Although I think it's quite impressive

Very nice,I went to the s3
~SanaDrate + LTE

Can I suggest flashing a Sense 5 Rom? I've so far found MagioRom to be the fastest for me, though from everything I'm reading, speed and battery life differ a ****ton from user to user. Just my 2 cents. Hope you enjoy having the sexiest phone on the market!

Flash venom and never look back!
Full of tweaks and with speedy kernel it's perfect
Enjoy your phone and welcome to the one x+ forums

My One X+ actually has not heated up much after the official 4.2.2 update. Runs perfect, Sense 5 is so much better than 4

ROM
Using 4.4 ROM and dont have any gaming issues

Just got my ATT One X+ and I'm loving it. No lag so far. The only thing I find awkward is the lock button on top (I'm use to it being on the side). I love that I have lte on T-Mobile.

Engadget Review of One X+

Hi all. Engadget has just released their review of One X+. Just wanted to share.
http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/31/htc-one-x-plus-review/
They basically say;
- Sense has improved and runs a bit smoother.
- Front camera has drastically improved.
- Battery life is same as One X.
- There is only one color option which is black matte.
- Photo and video quality is same as One X and they think it lags behind the competition.
- The processor is faster and it shows itself in real world usage.
- Camera lens is still prone to scratch.
- Taking photos is even faster.
- Volume is significantly higher with Beats Audio enabled.
and so on...
So basically not really worth upgrading once the one x receives jelly bean?

It's a personal preference. It brings faster performance, 64 GB storage, probably less problematic hardware than One X (remember wifi, screen problems of One X) and more.. They just say if it was using S4 Pro it would have had better battery life but still it's a lovely phone.

I agree, but with phones like the nexus 4, Galaxy S3 and note 2, I don't know if this is worth it.

I would buy One X or One X+ only if I like Sense. Well, I do but I couldn't buy One X since it had hardware issues when I was looking for. Maybe HTC solved these issues, we will see but right now if I had a solid One X without problems, I wouldn't buy One X+. If I had GS3, I would still buy it because missed Sense as I'm using GN right now.

I mostly agree with you.. but the limited 16 GB of space in the nexus 4 makes the phone almost impossible to use in this digital world..

For me it was easy to chose the X+ cause i was allowed, to swap my x instead.. I just can say it feels a lot better, it seams it is perfectly built. The speaker is so much better! And the back feels real good with this Rubber coat. It isnt, slippy anymore so less drops will happen. HTC did a real quality move this time!

Having used the HTC Desire HD (Also known as Sensation) on TMobile UK. I really like the design and reliability of HTC devices. Looking forward to see how this device stacks up. I do like that JB is included out-of-the-box. AT&T is releasing it in the USA but I hope TMobile now called EE will release it soon

General lack of interest and need.
Last I heard zarboz was working on it.
Not as easy as it sounds
Slithered from my HTC One X+
Aside from the battery usage being a major con, I can not think of a single app that would benefit from this. Any app I have seen stall is usually because it is either poorly optimized on all phones or is specifically optimized for other processors like qualcom

Just got one ONE today!

Well... as the title says, I just got my HTC One today! I love this phone so much...
Coming from an HTC One S, I've been using HTC phones exclusively since the T-Mobile Shadow like 8 years ago lol. Been on XDA for a while, excited to check out a new corner of the forums.

I also just found out yesterday about HTC killing off the One S. Didn't know about that when I sold mine, but now I don't regret it one bit! The commercials were totally right, this phone is everything my phone wasn't. I LOVED my One S, but the ONE is absolutely incredible.
Htc updated the international model to 4.2.2 but knowing HTC it wont be long this phone will quit having updates from htc and if it does it will be year later. I used like HTC when I had the Sensation but after owning the Amaze I became very disappointed with them. Lack of support and dev support were just or worst than LG. But I did played with the One and the S4 side by side and like both. Like there are stuff I like about the one just are there stuff I like about the s4. But I know that Samsung has become very loyal with updates and support. Although back when I had the sensation I hated samsung because of the way they treated vibrant owners

Honestly I am not too worried about getting timely updates. I like the phone the way it is. If I wanted to make sure I got updates quickly, I would have stuck with my Nexus 4 which is an inferior phone to the One.
Its not just about updates!!!!!! Its about proper drivers to new sense and android to make new roms!!! Otherwise CM roms will always be buggy.

By better he means 13MP than 4MP with a bigger block for more light. I played with both phones today and the s4 beats it one on day light where you will be using the camera 90% at time. Also S4 low light feature is not bad.. But when HTC comes out with a new Sense version is sad but they will not put it on the one. just like they did with the rest of their devices.. The only reason I would get the one if for something different. I've been jumping back and forward with samsung and htc.. Now LG is another story, I wont be spending my money with them because they dont have good support.

Overall, the camera is better in the s4 than the One. I've played with two sets of demos of each phone and tested the cameras side byside inside the tmobile stores. My findings were, the One had problems focusing on targets that the s4 didn't, also the the One pictures are not as clear and detailed as the s4 in both distant and macro shots. The one most definitely has a slight advantage over the s4 regarding low light shooting, but when it comes to the average user everyday use, you'll be shooting in good to decent lighting and you'll want good sharp detailed photos from them!
I'm just sayin

Having always had Samsung phones and loving them till s3 with all of the bloat, I was really thrown off by touchwiz. It is too bulky and feels laggy, not to mention it makes interface plain ugly. To me, every app on htc one makes android more appealing, while s4 does opposite. I ended up rooting and putting 4.2.2 on my HTC one with elemental x kernel and ordroid Rom... My god... This thing flies, and battery easily outperforms any device I've seen.

its upto you which one you like, I would personally prefer HTC one, but again there are several pros & cons of each, before buying a HTC just get one thing straight, this company has a bad reputation when it comes to software updates, HTC always stop providing support to their handsets before expected, for eg. HTC one s was recently ditched, many others back in history were treated just same way, ...
one more thing, I was in a mobile store the other day checking several devices, I found neither of S4 or One as attractive as they are presented over internet, there was only handset which caught my eye-HTC butterfly, real piece of beauty, & upcoming Butterfly S looks even more deadly, so I would suggest you to go to store yourself & check them personally rather than buying online...

He was actually saying that the OP was misinformed, which is true. AT&T has no effect on the updates for the iPhones, as they come straight from Apple. For Android phones, including ours, the update has to go through AT&T first, which tends to be a long and drawn out process unfortunately.
Oh ok. Yes I was misinformed. Sorry its just frustrating to see that we still don't have this update or any word of an update.

Are u rooted? If yes there is 2 roms here that offer the sense 5 look but they are still android 4.1.1. Try them ! There is not much of a diference between sense 4 and 5 . It's almost just looks. So try that and figure if u really want that update. Roms are elegancia and black mongoose. Some people find sense 5 cheap looking . U might not even like it on this phone.

There's a fair bit of performance benefits. It's what sense 4 should have been like.
Should also note about 100mb more ram is free at bootup.

Yup, many international HOX+ in Asia with CID__044 still waiting the OTA update. So ATT have to depend on HTC, coz HTC hasnt roll out their update for ATT yet.
Would it be possible that we will be skipped for 4.2.2 and be updated to 4.3 when the update rolls out for the HTC one? Or is this just wishful thinking?
That's wishful thinking. Even if AT&T doesn't roll it out, at least we can hope Telus makes a push

Personally dreading the sense 5 update on my ATT device. Not into that new "plain Jane" boring look of Sense 5. Will be looking forward to the extra 100mg of ram though! Maybe I can multi task more than 2 apps now, lol! Multi tasking on this device is beyond sad, maybe as good as my iPhone 4, lol.
