Yes, it is based on stock LG with all of LG's features (assuming you flash the lg apps). It has been tweaked to look closer to AOSP, though, which I like!
Also, all the lag is gone (especially in gaming) and battery life is improved as well.

Looking forward to test this tomorrow, been waiting for a stock based rom.

Wow, great idea!
Might just try this as the first custom ROM on my gpad!

Screenshots would be nice, especially for a ROM based on the horrifically ugly LG stock

Can someone confirm if a case with a smart cover will work with this ROM?

I'll be glad to, give me a moment

Great work! Congratulations!
You said it is a rom initial ported from vs980!! I wonder when it´d be possible to port a rom from the V510 :silly:

no dice for me just a black screen. I did figure out how to get into recovery mode though. Hold down the power and volume down until the LG logo comes up. Then release of power then hold down all three buttons press power to confirm and again and you'll be in recovery.

Seriously, since you posted on twitter that there was a chance of a release, I've checked every 20min!
Thanks guys
Edit: I'm guessing its recommended to use the latest GApps from goo.im?
Just adding a Torch.apk that works with this ROM, credits go to DT
Yes sir they work fine for me so far

Didn't boot for me, left it for about 15min... Checked MD5 and its good.
Do I need to pair a kernel up with it through recovery?

No luck here either!

I got it to boot by flashing Franco along with it, it will probably work with others too but I'm not too sure, I just used Franco because it was included in the last release.
Good luck
Edit: torch toggle doesn't work by default, I installed the AOKP torch.apk and it still isn't working, anybody have any ideas?

thanks, I forgot about the toolkit.
pushed the kernel over and flashed, and now it's booting.
So no one has got it to load on a different kernel than Franco? That's weird.

Running beautiful for me, its the smoothest feeling ROM I've had running on my Nexus 4, plus, now it has some awesome features
Top marks guys.
only franco kernel compatible
I think I know the answer to this, but is it possible to just wipe cache and dalvik coming from the liquid smooth alpha rom? Probably not right?
I've just got things set up really good on the alpha build.
And I take it you just flash the ROM then immediately flash Franco kernel in order to get the ROM booting?

Couple of bugs to note, for me anyway.
1. Home button doesn't work. On move it should show previews of home screen by default when pressed. I got nothing. I tried switching it to app drawer, still nada.
2. In the quick settings, pressing the settings tile does nothing.
Love the extra customizations. Smooth as you like.

my old dx is running the liquid kang, and it's awesome. i can't wait to have it on the n4 too

Thanks
Flashed with PA Gapps (micro), everything works just like it should. Will take a day or two to see if anything pops up, but so far everything looks fine! Thanks again for this.
Running very smoothly, no problems at all. Excellent battery life so far.

You cab use any AOSP based kernel that you want. I don't mean to sound cocky at all, just letting you know, I think that I have put together a pretty killer kernel packaged with this ROM. Great battery life, & great performance, & all of the tuneables you could need.

New build is up. Both links are good. Go get em. Remember, I don't have this device, so I haven't made a test flash. Not saying anything is wrong with the build, just make sure to make a backup.

I don't see it, in the options list, does this ROM offer a dark theme?
Guys.. If the rom you're flashing is cm based you will have all the same problems on ALL of them until cm gets it worked out.
The only issue I've come across so far is that I can't restore using Titanium Backup. I know I've seen this mentioned on other ROMs as well and wasn't sure if there was a fix for that or if it's just something we have to deal with for awhile until things get worked out on L.

The only issue I've come across so far is that I can't restore using Titanium Backup. I know I've seen this mentioned on other ROMs as well and wasn't sure if there was a fix for that or if it's just something we have to deal with for awhile until things get worked out on L.

Awesome... backing up previous timduru ROM so I can play with this one. Thank you timduru and taconikky for helping breath new life into the Ole Prime!
Thanks guys for your work. But right mousepad button does not work in Remote Desktop App. Please implement that function again like in KatKiss 5.11. I need it for daily use to control my home server.
This was an unexpected Nougatella treat! Install was clean (did full wipe first), and has been running well. Enjoying trying out the Substratum theme capabilities; some quirks there with some themes and apps which is to be expected at this early Android 7 stage.
v007 Running great !! :good:
having some small issues with like MtpHost crashing from time to time
but as I see it's already fixed in timduru's latest changelog:
= XX/XX/2016 V008 =
- prevent MtpHost from crashing
- switch to google codecs until further OMX fixes
- switch to sdcardfs
- cleanups: rm unused dhcpd + /mnt/sdcard

looking ffwd to try it
Amazing ROM, my tf201 run smooth and fast. Clean installation, tf201 boots perfectly. Battery drains quick but I think ROM will adjust itself in the next days, as mm ROM happened.
Thx very much TakoNikky an Timburu for not to forget us and give us the opportunity to keep our primes alive.
Wooooo! Thanks man. This device is now one of the few old devices that are getting updates faster than brand new flagships!
OK, anyone have instructions from going from the last ASUS ROM to this one? (Yes, yes, should have updated years ago.) I am already unlocked.
Anyone with microphone issues? I checked everywhere I could think of in settings and cannot get my mic to work.

+1.
Can people confirm that up to date versions of SuperSu can be flashed at install, rather than flashing an old version and updating it after first boot?
Also, is it still recommended to stick with MM's performance settings:
- 1600mhz with bfq schedular
- Settings/MediaScanner Filters --> uncheck Scan
- Developer options --> force GPU rendering

because after recent "improvements" xda forum does not work best.
----edit 2020-11-24----
The first touch of "settings-About phone-Android version-Android security update" causes reboot. The next one does not.

Tests without gapps. There was no reboot. SIM port not SIM.
The camera was recording 35 minutes, so I turned it off.
It only closes automatically setting the desktop style. If there is something important I will write it.

The opposite is true for Evervolv: it will not run a graphical environment without bitgapps.
The camera works without jams. I did not check the 15 min. video recording problem.
OMG! Android 11 for Shamu :victory: I can't believe my eyes! Thank you so much AmirHRC!!

Just some questions about included apps without gapps:
1. Calendar - is it the AOSP included "calendar viewer" or a fully functional calendar like etar calendar in LineageOS?
2. Retro M... is probably a music player but what is Via ?

This is just a suggestion.
If you are building a new ROM, then maybe try to build based on the RP1A.201105.002, which is for Pixel 3, just like the @elginsk8r did.
Build RD1A.201105.003.C1 is for Pixel 4a, Pixel 5.
.
