Bluetooth Headphones/Headset - Must buy! - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

I was prowling the isles in rite aid (yes the pharmacy place) while my mom was getting her meds (she is nuts and while browsing the junk isle I found some cheap bluetooth headphones.
$30. figured ok for $30 they probably suck and they don't "look" amazing by any stretch. hey 25% off.. so $22.50 and I buy them. at the register I get a $6 coupon so I go back and grab another pair in red figure maybe a gift? at $16 who cares!
I get home jack them in and .... well my mind is simply blown. no other way to put it.

I just paid $22.50 for a set of wireless bluetooth headphones that sound better than some $100 wired headphones I have tried. No joke. I can't believe it. I try song after song and just can't get over how freaking good they sound. I think. Fluke. I rip open the other package. SAME.
good solid bass. won't rattle your skull but definitely not "missing" bass. good highs good mids good balance. good volume (won't blow your ear drums but I turned them down a notch) I can't believe it.
I bought them figuring to make them a skype gaming headset and now they are also my primary music cans too. I am already thinking mods to increase battery life (stock is 10 hours) custom paint and larger muffs to fit over my gigantor ears.
NOW they are half off !!! $15 freaking dollars. I bought another pair and have plans to buy at least 2 more if I can for modding hacking and just having extra's. they sound that damned good.
GO to a rite aid right now if you can. pull them out of the pack pair it to your phone and TRY IT. if you HAVE $16 in your pocket (tax) you WILL be buying them. they really are just that good.
from CRAIG of all things. I can't believe they are so good.
Here is a little video review I put online (in 4k!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMvYESOMmAY
go give them a listen. you won't be disappointed. they sound that good especially for $15. they work well for phone calls too. thinking about modding a set with a boom mic. should not be that hard to do. bigger muffs and a boom plus some orange paint equals perfection!
they also have a convertible tower speaker system (with line in 3.5 in BT in and fm radio and remote) half off $30. I grabbed a set. it was broken out of the box (second speaker no joy but 5 minutes later my soldering iron fixed that (wire was not connected)
"shockingly" good. not as "wow" as the headphones (those are simply astonishing) but pretty damned good for the price and they look nice too. I am going to put a set in the camper and get another one to hack up and put some quality speakers inside with a woofer.
they also had a sound bar for $30 but it was a two speaker bar and seemed pretty janky to me.

I bought these www.amazon.com/dp/B0070UKBO8/ for $45 and they are awesome.

For $15 I would give a pair of these a shot myself. Sadly there's no Ride Aid stores in my area and for that matter nobody seems to carry them locally in my area as well. Bummer as I wouldn't mind finding a good replacement for my semi aging Motorola S805.

you can get them around $40 online. they truly "ARE" worth the price. I would never have bought a pair for $40 without having listened to them.
after listening to them. instantly. they really are that good. at least to my ears. so far I am 100 for 100. every single person I have had listen to them has bought a pair. even got a rite aid employee to buy a pair tonight

here is a pair on ebay
111247675824
$40 shipped $30 if you "bid" instead of buy it now and no one outbids you.
very worth it. I am even thinking of nabbing a few to resell (they want $78 on amazon. that's nuts)

Good find, definitely cheap enough! If I didn't have the Motorola S11 Flex HD (which I absolutely love!) then I'd try these out.
SwiftKey'ed from my White Sprint Note 3 via XDA Premium

I went and got these.....for 15dlls they ARE awesome. No they wont blow away any audiophiles outthere but for the price u get way more than what u paid for. Good find and thanks for the tip

Do you have any model numbers?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Hmmm. I don't "see" any model numbers. I just did a search for Craig Bluetooth Headset. forget amazon that seller is nuts $78. I bought a few to put on ebay for $40 (worth a shot) No link I think that would be inappropriate for this forum.
Gonna write a letter to craig and let them know how good they are. they really need to keep making these.

I just bought a pair of these and for the price they are awsome. I have owned the Beats Studio, Executives, Wireless, and the Pro's. I don't think those are worth the price but if you have to have that little b on the side of your headphones then go for it. I personally think that they are not worth the price but these are. I was talking to my 15 year old daughter about fixing her $ 180 beats that her mom bought her against my advise and she broke them within 3 months. I told her that I could get a set of cheap head phone and put the speakers from her beats in them so that she could have the better speakers in the cheap headphones. She said "they wouldn't say beats" so when I unboxed these and paired them and she could hear how loud they were she was begging for them and I said but "they are not Beats" and laughed at her.
Sent from my SM-N900P using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

thats when you get a beats sticker and slap it on the side hehe plus I was simply not impressed with the sound of the beats. I honestly think these sounds better. not as loud no. not as much bass either (but I considered the beats to be over powered)
I tried "souls" too they sounded like crap.

I just pickup one of these.. have not tested it out yet.. but the store i got it from still have several of them.. 1 more blue several whites one and a couple of black ones.. if this is good like the OP says.. i might pick up several more.. BDAY gifts in the future..

Anyone found these cheap anywhere other than rite Aid or whatever? We don't have these around these parts of Oklahoma...
Sent from my SM-N900V

The beats solo's are like 200 bucks and these sound far better than those and they sound just as good as the wireless ones which are 280 I think. The only thing I wish these had would be a wire back up.

so like if i go out right now, to rite aid, it's only 16 dollars?
EDIT, is the battery rechargeable or what?

Yep they're rechargeable, I ended up buying 3 of these. They're hard to find in my area though. Most Rite Aid stores are out because they're a clearance item now. Went to 5 stores and in two I got my collection. The third store I went to had a red and the fifth had a white and a blue. They sound pretty damn good for what they are. The price is $29.99 but now they're half off at $14.99, so better hurry.

Most of these things use Bluetooth Low Energy so it shuoldn't. However, streaming and playing music is usually a battery hog.

got the the headphones, tbh, they feel like 30 dollar headphones.

If you do end up doing any mods to them I'd be interested since the ear cups are just way too small for me. If I could mod the ear cups, I'd be quite happy with these.

Yup, they definitely feel like cheap headphones. I question how long they'll last.
But they sound surprisingly good. Great deal for 16 bucks

Highly Recommend LG HBS-700 BT Headset

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to share my experience regarding these bad boys. BUY IT!!!
I have nothing but bad luck with BT headsets. Everytime I buy one, I return it.
But... with the LG HBS-700 my luck just changed. Let me tell you it works unbelievable good with the Prime and cellphone together. It has BT 2.1 with multiconnection capabilities so you can have your tablet and cellphone paired/connected at the same time. So if you are listening music or watching a movie and get a phone call the sound from the tablet will go down while you take the call.
The sound quality is amazing and also excellent call sound. I received great feedback from several callers, they all told me my voice was crystal clear.
So there you have it in case you were looking for a BT device that works

I replied over at transformer forums but I'll just put this here too. I have to agree with you, these are the best I've tried. As far as the comfort, they are almost too comfortable. I work in a refinery, I'm not supposed to carry anything outside that is not intrinsically safe. I kept going out to make my rounds with these still hanging around my neck. I wouldn't realize it until I sat down again to watch a movie and couldn't find them on my desk. I actually bought a Sony Bluetooth receiver just so I would have to take it off before going outside. The Sony had great sound but was too hard to connect compared to my LG, and I can't get used to the Sony hanging off my chest so it's just going to collect dust on my desk.
i bought a pair of these back in november 2011 on a whim. they are amazing. superb quality sound (for earbuds at least), great battery life. super easy to pair (i use with my phone and a bt transmitter on my ipod, soon will be using on my new transformer prime). HIGHLY recommend them. i get a lot of comments about them, confused people who have never seen headphones like this. they are super comfortable to wear too (i forget i have them on a lot of times). WELL worth the money
I'm glad you guys like it.
I really wanted to share my experience as I know there are many like me that were looking for a good BT headset.
Holy **** I didn't even know headsets could multiconnect 55 bones too? Pretty badass.
I'm currently using a Phillips Bluetooth set that is very comfy but the sound could be much better. I originally got them for my phone for walks in very hot Arizona. They do well with sweat so they serve their purpose. Paid 70 for them tho.
I just ordered mine from Amazon. Thanks OP, I was looking for a good BT headset for a long time and could not settle on one. My wife bought one of the Motorola S10 headsets, but I did not like how they felt. Hopefully, this headset works for me.

Lol I should get paid by LG hehehe.
I bought the S10's as well and returned them. I just didn't like them, they worked fine but very uncomfortable.
So you will be happy with the HBS-700
What sucks is I can't stick anything in my ears. Bothers me too much. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect headphone/headset. Right now I'm stuck using a wired model. And the Sennheiser bluetooth models are sooooo expensive. $300???
Do they work well for listening to audio AND browsing the net? I know the prime has a wifi/bt issue, so it would he interesting if these worked with no issues. Also, are the tips foam or rubber? I am a big fan of the JVC marshmallow series because they in early pieces are foam and not rubber. I feel they create a more solid experience because they fill out the cavities in your ear, much like the cheaper ear protection you can buy that are just foam pieces.
It may be an oversight on my part, but I didn't see anything about it in the thread. Feel free to flame should I have missed something.

I must say I picked up a pair of these after reading the thread, and they are fantastic with my GS2...
... however when I try to pair with the Prime it keeps failing to pair saying "incorrect pin / passcode" and then it won't connect.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or have a solution for me?

Mine connected no problem. if it asks for a passcode the instructions say to put in 0000 if its not and just coming up with that error then I'm sorry I have no help for you.
Cheers,
it wasn't asking for a pin though, just saying that pin failed... which was strange.
Anyways, unchecking the Media Audio on my phone then trying to pair with prime "fixed" it, and allowed it to pair fine.
Now it works perfectly with both devices.
No one has stated whether or not they have issues with their signals when using these. I would love to pick up a pair but I don't want it to be in vain

I have no problems streaming pandora and using these at the same time - however I have experienced issues streaming youtube videos. i have not played with it enough to know if it is the bt/wifi fall out issue - but I suspect it is.
I have listened to audio (saved locally) and browsed at the same time, and it appears the bandwidth takes a hit - but I need to perform more testing.
Other than that, I love these headphones - though they are a bit fragile - but no more than any other earbuds I own. Just need to be careful when storing in a bag, etc.
I love that it uses a micro usb charger port - I haven't had a need for the charger supplied in the box - I just charge them before charging my phone at night - or while at the office.
Work perfectly synced to both my Gnex on the phone profile, and TF Prime on the media profile. Easy enough to turn on the media profile for the Gnex when wanting to listen to audio on that - synced right back to the TF prime once the media profile was disabled on the Gnex.
The design is amazing and super comfortable as everyone else has stated. Everyone at work was 'wowed' with them the first time they saw me using them. Some have even asked me to send them the link to it on amazon.
I've always been a FIRM believer in wired audio - but this is super convenient. The first time I used these headphones was the first time in YEARS I didnt have to be careful about a wire during my daily commute on the bus and subway, and putting on/taking off my bag/coat.
The only thing I could see them adding to this is an aux out - so it can only be used as a bluetooth receiver hooked up to a stereo device... but thats just the engineer in me thinking wildly!
One other small small gripe - on the left side is the phone connect button (answer/hang up), volume down in front, and volume up in back.
On the right side is the media connect button (play/pause), fast forward in front, and rewind in back.
In my mind I correlate volume up with fast forward (increasing) and volume down with rewind (decreasing). Had I designed these, I would have swapped the location of the volume buttons - but this is nothing a few days of use does train me to get used to!
I imagine they did it this way because they figure a user would use FF more often - and need to use Volume Down in more urgent situations than Volume Up.
And for those that asked - these have rubber ear pieces. It comes with two sets - I didn't look at the second set because the ones that came installed fit my ears perfectly!
I love this headset! The sound is great from both my Prime and my Captivate Glide. I found that I can keep both media and audio connection active on my phone and have only media checked on my Prime, that way, when I wanna use them with my Prime, I just active the BT on my Prime before my phone and everything works superbly. Thanks for the recommendation.

I haven't tried mine - but most other buds I have tried end up falling out. I also would not want sweat anywhere NEAR this. Since the main unit sits on your neck - I'm sure it would not be comfortable at all.

Agreed. I would let them take the bundled micro sd also if it would net me any kind of upgrade to the physical phone (better mic, better speakers, etc).
Only advantage to having the headphones for me was selling them for my first phone and selling them when I got my second phone from insurance due to a cracked screen. It helped me justify the cost. first pair sold for 80, and second pair sold for 60 due to market saturation.
Yes, gorilla glass would be nice to have for sure, however I take anything that is a bonus.
For those eligible, the Rezound it is a steal now, I upgraded my wife's DX last Friday w/a Rezound and mine DX today with another Rezound. I was considering the Razr Maxx and Galaxy as well, but could not pass up this deal!
Her's was $50 and mine was $20 so between the 2 headsets plus 2 bundled 16gb cards the phones were basically free!
Looks like no more of this in the future, but as well mentioned, hopefully they will substitute these "accessories" for more quality materials on the phone.

I think this is for the best IMO
I like the "free" headphones, but I'm hoping the phones will be cheaper..
the Rez shouldnt have been $300 for a 2 year contract.
but this is jsut my feelings, as I would prefer to use a set of these headphones, instead of having to pay a little extra for a set id rarely use, but everyone is diff..

The 49 dollar Lumia 900 is making 300 dollar Android phones look really bad. And I threw my Beats away. Literally. In the garbage. I don't want to pay for that crap, and if I wanted them I'd buy them on my own. Give me a cheaper phone, not headphones I probably don't want.
I use mine all the time, but only because the came with the phone and I don't want to spend $50+ on another pair. They're not the best for me since I listen to a lot of heavy metal and the heavy bass gets annoying. HTC must feel like a smacked ass since they spent $300 million for what's essentially and equalizer.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk
While I'm glad I sold mine as soon as I could and made some of the money back for how much the phone was overpriced to start with, I have a feeling the price for the top of the line phones won't be coming down. With my discount I paid $265 for the rezound on release day. Got $70 out of the beats so that put the phone about where it should have been to start with. I really don't agree with using gimmicks to mark up the price on the phone. If I want overpriced earbuds, I'll go buy the ones I want.
I do use my iBeats everyday too, but mostly just because they came with the phone.. I actually don't like the way they sound at all, to be quite honest, but they ARE extremely well built, and so I use them when I'm riding my bike or some other activities like rock climbing where I want something relatively durable, but when audio quality isn't the primary concern. It is nice to have them. I certainly don't want to be riding my bike with headphones that I actually paid $150 of my own money for.. so some high quality headphones for free was a plus.
However, I still would rather have Gorilla Glass instead of the iBeats. Its the one area of the phone where they cheaped out and its pretty easy to accidentally scratch.

****... I would have taken them from you if you were just going to throw them out. Hell, you could have made at least 50-60 bucks off them just selling them on ebay.
I never realized how much of a better quality they were until they got stolen. Now I'm back to my ****ty skull candy earbuds and there was a significant difference in quality. I especially liked all the bass since I use them for working out. The only issue I really had was the buttons on the headphones. I accidentally hit them when I was working out which would cause the phone to pause.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for any decent headphones for around 60 dollars? I'd get the beats again, but seeing as most people say the price isn't justifiable to the quality; I'd by something better for the same price.
Or if anyone feels like making a donation, I'd appreciate it very much.

LOL, if you like Klipsch buds you definitely won't like the beats.
Those two sets are like complete opposites(I own both the ibeats and the beats tour and the Klipsch x-10 and the Klipsch s4).
The beats have too much bass and the Klipsch have too much high end.

(REVIEW)LG TONE HBS-700 Bluetooth Headphones

Just bought these tonight for my EVO 4G LTE. Got them from Best Buy for 69.99 + tax.
Some specs.
Talk/music time up to 10 hrs.
Standby time up to 15 days.
Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR (A2DP/AVRCP)
Vibrating call alert
Music and phone controls
Noise reduction and echo cancellation
Magnetic on board earbud storage
Auto reconnect
Multi connect (Multi connect mode is like you pair it to a laptop (or whatever) as a music only bt device and then you can pair it to a phone as a call only type of bt device)
Water resistant
Very lightweight as well
It will read your sms to you if you download an app called BT Reader in Play Store.
First few hrs:
So far so good. I had no issues with pairing in fact they were very easy. I only had to turn on them and the Bluetooth on my phone and the first time they automatically go into auto pairing.
In the advanced features in Bluetooth you can select music, and calls I have both right now. I have played a bit of music from my phone and all is very nice. I good tone and bass for me. I like how Beats Audio auto enhances the music. I have been using it with Pandora for a while and surprisingly my battery is holding up well as I am on the full odexed stock rooted rom.
They charged out of the box for about an hour until they were full and ready for use. It uses a 0.2 amp 5.1 volt a/c charger that comes with it via same mini USB our phone uses. Which is nice that a car charger could be used... not sure on that though since it would likely charge at 1 amp then which may be too much.
The length of the earbud is adjustable for you long neckers
I did not like the large rubber ear canal pieces that came with it so I swapped with smaller ones from my last earbud.
Update: used for a phone call and I was able to speak very softly and they could hear me fine and I could hear her well too. Call controls for answering worked great and vibrate was noticeable but not so strong as the rattle my teeth.
I was also able to walk about 30 feet from my phone in the house and not loose BT signal or clarity... will test further tomorrow.
Day 2: tested the distance agIn and found something interesting... seems I was angling my body just right to get the distance last night. I can walk over 75 feet from my phone and get music as long as the receiver in the headphones (left side) faces the phone. If you turn away you lose signal but turn the left side facing the phone and it instantly comes back. Quality did not seem effected over the distance. So far have about 2 hrs play time on them.
Controls work well.. forward button works on Pandora as well.
Bass boost works nicely really bumped it up. I had trouble switching it over to bass boost bit chalking it up to my thumbs lol
So far on approx 7.5 hrs of use and they show a medium charge level when checked so that isn't bad.
End of Day 2: Used them for about 11hrs and still showing medium power level... way impressed considering it said up to 10 hrs I expected 8 or less.
day whatever lol : bringing them back friday...startedhaving issues if I had my phone on my hip.in holster...started to break up signal. Didn't have the issue right away. Also was working on my house and when working in odd positions my neck started to push the buttons. Drove me nuts. So first reason could be my phone but its odd it didn't do that several days ago. I think the main reason I'm brining them back to exchange is the way I use them. The other could be a range of things.
Finaal thoughts...they work good. Great sound from it. Worked great for calls too. Just the style started to bug me and I don't make calls or use that function so I think only headphones are for me. I would give these a solid B dispite the issue I had with my phone attached to my hip. I'm basically ignoring that since it could just be the holster phone hip combo blocking signal. Find a good deal somewhere on these I would suggest picking them up.
Questions? I'll try to answer them.

yeah... they are cheaper online and many other things are as well... I bought them at best but because I was not sure of what style I wanted so buying them online... paying shipping and not liking them would result in a pain in the rear returning them if I even could... now since I bought them locally I can return them within 30 days with no return shipping hassle and exchange for a different set. Sometimes especially when your not sure on something buying online isn't best.

I also have purchased this headset recently at frys, they priced matched the newegg online price, the headset itself is really well built, good range of distance and can hear calls clearly my only issue is volume when listening to music wish it was a bit louder but I like my music loud so it might be fine to other people, overall pretty happy with it and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a Bluetooth stereo headst

from reading the instructions multi connect is like you pair it to a laptop as a music only device and then you can pair it to a phone as a call only type of bt device.

No. Best Buy does not match the prices of Internet-only retailers or the website prices of our local retail competitors' stores.

I have had these for a few weeks bought them at the sprint store for around $55 because he gave me a 20% off coupon. I don't seem to get the same distance that the op is getting. If I put my phone in my pocket outside it constantly breaks up and I can barely walk across the room with out losing connection. I might need to take them back and swap them out for a new set.

Are you using a case by any chance? I also picked up this unit awhile ago and even with the silicone sleeve the distance drops a little bit, without anything on the phone though i get about 25-30 while i'm washing my car keeping the phone inside on the dash. If theres nothing in the way then you should probably exchange it.

OEM ear buds for SBH52 (replacements), please help

I am having a hard time trying to find replacements for the earbuds I lost.
I traveled to Botswana for the Christmas holidays, and I lost the ear buds that came with my SBH52. I want the very same ones, but no luck with sony store online. They are called MH755 Headset, and they are back ordered. I placed an order anyway (over the phone), and they shipped 2 weeks later. Total cost was $23.95, including shipping. Sony shipped them FedEx ground, which took 7 days to get from Laredo, Texas to Bellefontaine, OH!
Then tracking said "delivered" while I was at work at 10:45am. I got home at 4:15pm, and there was no package! I call Fedex, they swear it was left on the door step!......
Called Sony next Monday so they can initiate a claim, and of course they said it's out of stock, so they refunded my money, which will take 7 to 10 business days! Not happy!
I would be glad if someone would sell me their set if they upgraded to something else.
I think the FedEx driver is lying about my package. Not the first one I lost at this address, also through FedEx ground!
If anybody has upgraded to other headphones, I would be obliged if you let me buy your Sony ones. Or if you know somebody who does, please let me know.
maybe thats helps

If you are looking for new headphones and if you like huge stage, insane bass and Sony build quality the Sony MDR-XB90EX is for you. Dynamic 16 mm driver, 200mW, 4 -27K KHz, 16 ohm, Neodymium. What else you can wish? Low price? It is $100 range so not that bad.
I own this headphones for 2 years now an all I can say... super happy. Huge stage, insane sub bass, excellent fitting. 16 ohm so you phone will do just fine, no need for amp. Sound quality is excellent and after 2 years nothing really happened. I am listening music every day for 3-5 hours. If i say compare to others these headphone worth $400 - $500. Yes, is that good.

I just got the Sony xba-2ip which are very highly recommended http://www.whathifi.com/review/sony-xba-2ip
Initially they don't sound any better than my old £30 sennheisers but apparently you have to warm them up over a week or so and then they sound awesome. Would never usually go near sony headphones but they have been doing some amazing products in the last couple of years.

XBA-2 are not dynamic headphones. There is nothing to worm up. Dynamic headphones like Sony MDR-XB90EX with big 16mm driver always have better bass textures, more natural sound and the highs dues not sound synthetic. You have to try one of this to understand. I use to have Monster Turbine, Hippo VB and some other same price range headphones but nothing can not come close really.

I personally prefer natural sounds, dynamics for me aren't quick enough. Superb bass I'll grant you but I think they miss a lot of detail on the highs and mids.

Dynamic headphones have natural sound and more textured deeps and not synthetic (metallic) high tones. That is the thing of armature driver. If you like more natural sound then XBA-2 is not really good choice. The stage is another story but also on the side of dynamic drivers.

Hey no worries. I am glad I can help. Shure se215 are excellent. I really like possibility to replace cable. Amazing price to performance ratio.
Hello folks!
My ordeal with replacing the OEM earphones has finally come to a close! To sum it up: there are NO replacement earphones. They cannot be sourced from Sony.
In mid January, I called the accessories department on the 800 number and got a sales rep in India who researched and came up with the part number. Placed the order, and 2 weeks later, Fedex lost my package. Sony refunded me for the $24 bucks, which included 2-day shipping. Part was out of stock again!
I re-ordered, paying in advance. Part comes in, it was the wrong part! It was just a cable with 3.5mm jacks on both ends!
I call Sony, and this time I'm pissed! They try to sell me some other headphones, from the $20 long cable (non-bluetooth) to the $99 MH1C, for a discount! I demand to speak to a supervisor, and I said if this were Apple or Sumsang, I could have walked into a Walmart and gotten replacements, or gone to an Apple or Samsung store! At that point, the supervisor gives me another 800 number to call.
This turns out to be the customer satisfaction center in Texas, and I explain the situation to the representative. He understands I lost the headphones, and I need a replacement. He goes on to generate an RMA and emails it to me (he used my phone number for proof of purchase). I had to return my perfectly working SBH52 and USB cable, so they can send me a new unit. Parts cannot be sold separately.
I sent the unit of by priority mail with signature confirmation, and it was received 2 days later.
Meanwhile the SBH52 is out of stock on Sony's website, so I wasnt expecting I would be getting it any time soon. But out of the blue, the UPS man knocks on my door and hands me a package from Sony! 2 weeks later! I had to sign for this one!
Brand new SBH52! Yaaay! Now I can listen to music again!
Edit:
I recognise the SBH52 from a scratch I had on the clip, next to the NFC logo. Still out of stock @ Sony. So they included another headphone, and repackaged it.
Happy all the same. Jamming to my beats again!

Wireless Earbuds for Google Pixel Suggestions

Can someone suggest a decent pair of wireless/bluetooth earbuds for this phone? I'm by no means an audiophile. Preferable in the $20-$50 range. Thanks.
Lg tones are the best, you can find some on Amazon for $50 or less
Not exactly in your price range but I love my Jaybird X2 headphones. They've been going on sale for $80 lately. Wouldn't be surprised to see even better Black Friday deals for em.

I own a set of the mid-range (+/- $100 usd) Sol Republic Shadow Wireless, and Meizu's ($30) EP51. And I gotta say, after owning several dozen of headphones / earphones, the Meizu really do an incredible job, beating bigger players costing a fraction of the price. Highly recommend them. Battery life is about 5 to 6 hours of play time between charges (they charge in just over an hour), and they can only be paired with one device (as opposed to the Sol Republic, which can be paired to 2 devices simultaneously).
Jaybird X2 is what I'm using and it's a little out of yrou range, however i went thorugh 3-4 of those cheap headsets on amazon and have had these for almost a year and no issue. I workout daily, and keep them connected to my device for music almost all day. charge up fast and work.
I'm looking into the new phase of wireless ear buds like the samsung sport headsets. as more people make them I'm thinking more and more comes out. the braggi headphones are thebest looking as of right now.

Yep, I was a huge fan of the Jaybird BlueBuds X and have the X2 now. Super dependable, comfy, and great sounding headphones. If you can swing the price they're worth a look!
My question would be , what earphones have the strongest strength? I work in New York and walk from Penn Station (34th St) up 7th or 8th through Times Square (49th) and it seems when ever there is free wifi and a busy area, the signal will break up and cut out if I turn my head the wrong way (away from my phone). Granted, I'm using my G4 (waiting for my XL to come in), but it has happened with my G2, and my friends iPhone 7 as well...
I'm hoping the signal strength out of the Pixel XL is better than any other phone, but I'm sure the headphones play a roll in that too.
I'm using Yurbud Liberty wireless for running.
I've been extremely happy with the Beats PowerBeats 2 wireless ear buds. They are normally $150 but are often on sale at BestBuy or Amazon for as low as $79.
When I was on the hunt for some good wireless earbuds to use at the gym, I went through a few different brands/models before finally settling on these ones. They have great battery life, excellent sound quality and unbelievable range. I like to put my phone on a shelf near where I'm working out so I don't have to keep it in my pocket. I can wander around that area and get my workout routine done without ever touching the phone.
The water fountain is a good 100ft away from where I usually workout and I can walk all the way over to get water without the sound cutting out. This has actually been a downside for me a couple times as I've forgotten about the phone and as I left the front door of the building (200ft+ from where the phone is) it finally starts to cut out and I'm immediately reminded that I need to go back and grab the phone.
I do not recommend wasting your money on a $20-$50 set of bluetooth earbuds because they will likely be bad quality. You get what you pay for.

I frequent NYC for work, and in those exact areas. while I walk I either have on my beats studio wireless over the ear headphones, or I will use my X2s, or even then I have a single earbud that has a weaker signal but I find using the single earbud in the city to be best for me.

For what it's worth, I just hang the Powerbeats 2 cord down in front of my neck. It doesn't get in the way or annoying at all while working out. I didn't like having it on the back of my neck either.
I use the beats wireless solo 3 and so far I'm very satisfied. They are made by Apple, but have no problem connecting with my Pixel and connection is very strong.

I frequent NYC for work, and in those exact areas. while I walk I either have on my beats studio wireless over the ear headphones, or I will use my X2s, or even then I have a single earbud that has a weaker signal but I find using the single earbud in the city to be best for me.
I learned this lesson after 2-3 sets and moved on to more expensive ones. I also don't like the feeling of the cord on the back of my neck, wich is why I got the X2, because I can make it tight.

I would assume OTE headphones to be better, but they would make me sweat a lot walking up to TS at a fast pace, even in the winter...
I purchased the Anker Soundbuds NB10 from Amazon for about $40, and so far they've been pretty good walking through TS, although today I had a little interference, but all last week, no problem...even in my back pocket, which is the goal since in the summer, I wouldn't be wearing a jacket with a breast pocket to put my phone in.
remember, I still don't have my Pixel yet, so this report is coming from my G4 which I have other BT issues with that only reboots have fixed...I'm hoping BT4.2 is better than 4.1, and the aluminum/glass combo is better than the plastic/leather combo on the G4
I do like the Awei A920BL. Very cheap at GearBest. A little bass heavy. For about 9 USD they are really a bargain.
Yep, the section with the control buttons is a little big, but the battery needs to be somewhere.
