[Q] .myapp files

I've searched the forum + google for this answer but I've come up with nil. Whenever I download a ".myapp" file from android bazaar my phone just doesn't know what to do with the it. Is there anyway to get aptoide to open up the myapp files by default.
Android doesn't support .myapp files. Android applications are in .apk format (Android Application Package file). So no, there is no way to allow it to recognize/install those files.
I figured it out. I used firefox beta and it gave me the option to open the .myapp with Aptoide. Hope this helps someone out.

Did it allow installation of the file?
well the myapp file isn't actually a program file. i think it just shows aptoide where to get the program from on the server.
Thanks

How to force download manager from playstore to take over download

I have the IDM app but I cant find a way to force it to take over downloads. I use dolphin browser and every time I download something either the stock download manager or dolphins download manager takes over. Is there a way to make another download manager take over the download?
You could Try copying the download URL and then pasting it into the Downloads Manager and trying that way mate. Or try the download through stock browser to see if IDM kicks in
Hope This Helps

maybe the IDM only works when you enter the URL and for everything else like file sharing and stuff wont work since the download itself launches either the stock download manager or browser's, maybe you could try a forcing the download thru IDM via ADB or try freezing stock download manager in TB maybe that could work, also there should be a root download manager that takes over all downloads on the phone.
hope i shed some light

[Q] obb from external source

I have an obb file for Asphalt 8 and I don't want to download it again from the play store.
Is there a way I can use that obb and install the only the app apk from the play store?
How can you be sure if that obb is for the latest version of the game? If it was updated you still have to update it.
because the uploader mentioned the version in the upload description. I may or may not update it in the future. So I would still like to find a way to do it now.

You can do that, here are the steps;
-Download the apk of the game as a third party app.
-Place the obb into
android --- obb --- (folder with exact name of obb) --- xyz
(xyz are the obb)
-Now open play store and search your game and click install.
-Let the game begin to download. After downloading 200-300kb of the game turn off mobile data/WiFi.
-Now install the downloaded apk and enjoy the game
Hope you do it well!
