its not bricked, if it was bricked you can't even start the phone so no worries.
first make sure your phone is a gt9100, if it is try to flash something else (just for a test), or download a other rom, like slimsaber. Please give a report back :highfive:

You flash the CWM 6.0.4.5 (KK Compatible)?

Just use a up to to date CWM version. First, flash gustavo's Kitkat kernel, then flash a kitkat rom. For example, you cannot install a KK rom with 6.0.3.7 recovery. You need at least CWM 6.0.4.5 or TWRP 2.6.1, to be able to flash a KK rom. So, its not bricked or something.

Exatcly. I raccomanded flash a KK ROM from CM 10.2 / ROM based-on-10.2

COMMON PROBLEM !
1. if your in TWRP install blazing kernal to get the lower version of cwm
2. if your getting error on cwm flash an older version CM 10.2
3. that's it fixed
4. or if your in cm 10.2 and still getting error in the sense corrupted download
hope it helps :good:

Thn clear data n cache again?
Thn install the Kit Kat ROM n GApps?

The best is to flash recovery with fastboot to avoid the risk.
And I have aokp and no bootloop....

cant boot into recovery...

Hi guys.
First sorry for my english.
I need your help solving the problem.
I must say that my knowledge is very basic.
Yesterday I downloaded the latest nightly build from cm site (cm-10.2-20130827-nightly-i9100)
After the download complete i tried to boot into recovery to wipe data/factory reset and cache and start flashing the rom But with no Success.
The device won't boot into recovery.
I read somewhere a post saying you should choose app and adb option under developer options\root access but still no success after changing this option.
One more question please
I downloaded the supersu app from the play store and each time it remind me the need to update the su binary each time i choose continue it faild to update.
find the kernel fixed by codeworkx in the cm thread or flash dorimanx kernel with odin ( there is one in .tar in the download list).

Had the same problem yesterday: Auto-Update seems to be broken, if you apply an update downloaded OTA (even when coming from an older 10.2 Nightly), you can't get into recovery anymore:
Download the newest .tar (9.34) here:
http://dorimanx.shine.sk/
and flash it using ODIN
(insert .tar at PDA)

hi H3llwar.
1. Which update are you talking about? I did not do any update.
2. Is required to perform additional actions before flashing the kernel?
3. which odin ver should i use? 3.XX ? 1.85 ?
4. after flashing the kernel should i flash a custom rom again ?
thanks

1. There's an OTA update function which I used. Obviously, you didn't, it seems to be the nightly thats broken.
2. No, just flash it via ODIN
3. 3.XX worked just fine for me (changed to SlimBean yesterday as CM 10.2 seems too buggy for the moment)
4. You can flash just Dorimanx 9.34.tar, CM 10.2 & recovery should be acessible afterwards
Keep in mind that CM 10.2 and most other ROMs replace the kernel you currently have, if you want to flash another Custom ROM, flash 1. Rom.zip, 2. Gapps.zip & 3. Kernel.zip

It's great!!!
Stable, fast, good battery life with shipped kernel, and just 81MB. I don't miss any feature that CM or AOKP have and it doesn't get bricked when installing Head Soccer like XenonHD does :victory:
Give it a try!

hi mate.
i really want to try the slimbean rom but for doing that i need your help (you r my private teacher )
The latest slimbean version appears on the official site is JB 4.22 built 8.
What actions it takes when you downgrade from cm 4.3 to slimbean 4.2.2 etc ?

It isn't different from any other ROM change because SlimBean ships with its own kernel and dorimanx supports both 4.3 and 4.2 ROMs:
In Recovery Mode:
1. Wipe data
2. Wipe cache
3. Flash Rom.zip
(Optional: 4. Flash Dorimanx 9.39.zip)

[SOLVED]Flashing CWM recovery on S2

HI

Can I flash latest CWM recovery when my S2 have android 2.3.5. ? or should I update official ICS from OTA before flash ?
(I'm planning to use ODIN to flash CWM)
thanks

Step 1 - flash CF kernel which is appropriate to ur baseband with Odin
Step 2- Flash cutom rom what ever u want
Step 3 - Flash Gapps..
Thats all :good:
You can flash CWM and then the custom ROM now itself, without upgrading to ICS. Just make sure you flash the correct rooted kernel for your baseband version. Don't directly flash any CWM or use ROM manager. Good luck!

My details
Baseband version - I9100BUKI1
Kernal Version - 2.6.35.7-I9100BUKJ3-CL647431 [email protected]#2
Build number - GINGERBREAD.BUKJ3
So can anyone give me correct CWM recovery to my S2 ? (I just want to flash kitkat rom.. )
And you can't search for this why exactly ? You've been here more than long enough to know how things work.
Flash Gustavo's kernel first and then follow instructions on the omni thread for flashing as a first time user.
Search around and you will find everything here itself.
I'd suggest flashing the latest stock rom via Odin, ms1 I believe. Then flash philz kernel. Then boot into recovery, (while your new rom cwm zips are on your SD card) format system, preload, data and cache. Then flash the omni rom zip, and the correct gapps, and any other mods you would like.

[Q] Install Philz cwm6 on I9100G

Hii!!
I hope I am not making an error by posting here, I am a little new to here so be king please
I just want to install Philz CMW6 on my I9100G so I can install a kitkat custom ROM; I have been facing problems with this, I tried many ROMs ( CM11 unofficial, SuperNexus, SlimRom, OmniROM .. ) but I failed everytime, I realized that my CWM was not suitable. So I started looking for it I found a good thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860 after installing the CWM it goes right installing ROMs but got stuck into bootloop.
So, if someone can give me the .tar.md5 file I can flash using Odin or maybe another thing to take care of.
Thank you
PS: I had CM 10.2
Running official stock ROM : JB 4.1.2

Try this steps:
1. Use the method in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365701) to flash JB stock + root. note that it's better to flash the kernel via recovery after it's on your external sd-card or sideload with adb. This way you don't get the triangle warning and no binary count.
2. Download the kitkat compatible CWM from here: (http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/GalaxyS2/recovery/CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.zip)
3. Flash the CWM and reboot to recovery (advanced -> reboot recovery)
4. Flash your Kitkat rom (with all the necessary wipes of course )

I tried this but I got stuck on boot again, and knowing that the CWM that you gived don't work :/ ( my model is I9100G I think that this is the reason ).
I have read somewhere that maybe the wipe data / factory reset is the source of problem. I am not sure where I am doing wrong
thanks

Was able to fix it. Flashed the fluid rom first. Then rebooted to an updated CWM 6.0.4.4 and then was able to install the 4.4 rom. Thanks.
