good day everyone I would like to ask how to fix flash player boxed text/font? Im using english on language settings,flash version 11.1.115.81, and firefox.. flash plays with no problem the only problem is some fonts is boxed like time remaining. I also attached the screen shots.

Ok so I've had the S3 since yesterday and needless to say its a pretty incredible piece of kit.
However I've encountered two problems I can't get around;
1. I can't seem to get my music player onto the lock screen to easily change track, I've tried a variety of players but none seem to take over the lock screen no matter what settings are used? Anyone know a fix?
2. Whenever I use the internet on my phone using desktop mode or any internet browser, when trying to watch videos other than on Youtube I always get the "You need Flash" instead of the video, I never had this problem on my Note...
Are there any quick fixes to this? I don't want to root my device...
For 2) it's probably a case of you needing to go the Play Store and downloading Adobe Flash

I would have thought by the fact i'd posted here it would have been assumed Id already downloaded Flash .
I have Adobe Flash Player 11 with the fix for ICS, however playing videos I could on my Note just isn't happening on the S3 and i'm not sure why!

If there are videos with commercials, it can be that the popup blocker of the browser blocks them.
It happened to me too just because the website I tried, needed to have the commercials downloaded first before it could start the playback.
Are you using the same browser on both phones?
About the first problem it works ok for me so i really dont know. (stock music player)
the above two problems are not major!! i will tell you a major problem and that is an auto focus issue while recording video looses its focus and moves too and fro awkwardly video help help!
I have the same problem as number 1: The stock music player on the galaxy s3 does not appear to have any control on the lockscreen. It's strange because on my Galaxy S it works perfectly.. Anybody have ideas on how to resolve the issue, without going to 3rd party apps/widgets?
It's annoying but at least you can pull down the notification bar and get it there.
Also the headphones do volume but not tracks... F'n annoying.
I find the music player a bit ****, wish I had access to Google Play Music from 4.0.
The only way is pull down the notification bar

In order for you to play the videos using the browser, you need to switch back to android mode(phone mode), the flash player, especially the adobe one, do not support desktop mode.
To sort it, you need a flash player that supports desktop mode which i don't know if there is already existing app like that.
So, there is no way to get it working properly, only notification bar? That's weak..
Btw. I have also problems with flash. Youtube works fine but sometimes it just keeps loading and doesn't play ( from the internet browser). What's the deal with all these issues, I thought SG3 will be flawless..
I wanted to follow up on this, I find the music player extremely annoying. The headphones not changing track I can live with for the time being.

Hi all. I want to point out something rather unusual. I currently I mount a rom on my mozart deepshining 07-Aug/v3.4, and the problem persists and I that video when I get them in 720p go in spurts. I said that the problem persists because when I format the phone everything is fine, then after about a month, the problem reoccurs. Solutions? Thanks in advance, and excuse my language translated with Google Translate.

I had this problem too on deepshining rom (best mozart rom imo) i found how to resolve this by simply opening the settings on the camera and press 'Restore default settings' then change your resolution back to 720p, a bit of a pain i know but worth it for the quality of video.. hope this helps

Lost all ome apps.???? Forgot to do a full wipe after root didnt ythink it would need it as I hadn't be any apps or profiles added to the device so flashed on to the flasher tool it takes time and I was think ho to turn on charging thru my
Flashing thru the flasher scared the **** out of me but worked and restored the ome apps hulu plus is missing but is that a state side thing also when I return to ireland in six months will I have to change the region in canada atm so im just a bit courious as to my options later on if any
But video is not playing very well
any suggestions for players would be nice also any way to make it the default player
also any point towards how to replace the stock player with a third

everyone having issues with video playback.
Also had video playback issues with the xperia tablet s, but ony with the built-in sony player.
The first video (an mp4) didn't play at all ("This video can't be played" or something), after that I put it on my SGS3 where it played just fine...
The second one (another mp4) played for about 30 seconds, when suddenly the player shut down ("Unfortunately, this video has been stopped") while the audio played on and could be stopped only by restarting the sony player and the video. And again, after 30 secs, another shutdown of the player and the video, but not the audio....
Then I installed the MX Player from the play store, and since then, no playback problems so far....
I don't think we need another thread for this topic.
To clarify, I have NO issue with this device, shut down, YouTube or otherwise.

Hello thanks for the recommendation mxplayer seems to be the way to go ive also had no shut down issues so im not here to complain im just looking for alternatives to the video player maybe I should be in themes and apps sorry flyer also anybody put any scripts on there xpiera if so which ones and why bit lost on it if there any even avaible

Also how do I check which recovery is installed is a a termianl comand ive ran the AIO and installed the tweak for rescue backdoor also I said no to the end of the flasher to change the recovery as I had it already done with the AIO

MXPlayer Pro is the best I could find. Easy to set as default player and does evey kind of video file there is...subtitles too. I would agree that video is a little different on this tablet. I think part of it may be the small format maybe? It seems like the video is playing in slow motion but only a fraction of a second maybe....then again maybe an illusion. I haven't put this next to a lappy or my regular lcd tv to see if it tracks the same though either. It's such a minor thing for me....the audio sounds fine not slow or slurred or any problem so I just leave it.

For the flasher it will give you PREROOT 6b
was simple enough just let it work and yes to install recovery and your done

Even if I'm already rooted? I thought if rooted then would stay rooted?? Anyone else know? I'm glad I didn't do it today and waited till Ii had more insight. Thanks either way Zer0K3wL...that's what these forums are all about.

If you update via ota update you will be locked out of root from 6b offical
If updated via the flasher root remains as its a prerooted 6b from the flasher with a different recovery 1a I believe

I've got a problem with my Xperia u. Since i've installed eXpirience v2 (before i was using stock rom and i haven't noticed any video bugs) strange thing happened to my phone :E. When i am trying to play any video using player "films" or "ES Video player" i can see semi-transparent stippes which are more visible when i'm opening gui. I'm not sure if it's caused by damaged phone or software becasue i bought my Xperia a week ago and i have installed eXpirience one hour after my phone arrived to me. I hope you will forgive me mistakes. I'm learning english yet and i can't speak perfectly. Thank you for reading my topic and i hope you will say me what is the reason of my problem and may solution.
If it's just videos, it's a software problem. Try to play your videos with MX player and if there is no changes, try to reinstall the ROM or change your ROM! I find eXperience very uglyyyyy

Seems like it's happening while playing videos only. When I'm exploring websites or menu or even playing games it looks like everyting is ok. I'll try to install new ROM and give a sign here if new soft is the solution.
Edit: MX Player is doing the same : ( I'll try to reinstall ROM and install stock for example, but i will to it tomorrow. After testing i will post here how it's working
We've got a problem. When i'm exploring internet i can see the same strippes but only horizontally and only in one part of the screen. They're also visible only at site. I can't see it on Opera bar or that bar at the top of the screen.

Change the decoder to sw instead of hw..it will work..and untick the 2d hardware rendering option in developer option

2d rendering is unticked by default. I have changed decoder and so far seems like everything is ok while playing videos. Hope it will keep actual condition. My SGS2-I9100 LED screen is behaving crazy. Most of the Red related colors are seems to be distorted.
But not always, Some pictures it displays correct. Specially photos and videos which contains face are mostly distorted.
Last week I installed KM player and VLC player in it. KM player got strucked while playing a video and I force closed it.
Problem seems to be started after that. I re flashed with official Jelleybean 4.1.2 India firmware, but no use.
I have official ICS 4.0.3 firmware(GT-I9100_INU_I9100XXLPQ_I9100ODDLP7_I9100DDLP8) which was working fine before upgrade.
I tried to flash with it, but it struck at boot screen. I tried many times to flash it, but not booting.
I am totally confused. What may be the problem Hardware or drivers?.
Do I need to flash any kernal to get ICS working?.
