[September 16][Module][Xposed][LP][KK] TabletMetrics: Report screen > 7" - v5.1.2
Linked is an Xposed Module that will allow your phone to report its screen size as >= 7", in order to allow an app that does not otherwise spot your phone as a tablet (via, for example, the Per App Settings module), to do so.
It's important NOT to play up any sort of app specific functionality in this thread, as the module is "global" in scope and targets the Android framework level, as opposed to a specific app. Whatever benefit this has for you is neither expressed nor implied.
Tested and working on my Nexus 5 with stock KitKat 4.4 AND Lollipop 5.0.x AND Lollipop 5.1.x, YMMV.
As with all Xposed modules --> install the linked APK --> make the module active --> reboot --> profit.
Note: This module has no front-end UI, so there is nothing to do but install and make active.

Note: Same version should now work across KK & LP.
Download Module via Mega --> Download Xposed TableMetrics Module v5.1.2. Be sure to update to the latest Xposed library before reporting problems. Also, if you experience signature issues where module won't install, please uninstall your current version of tabletMetrics first, before installing the latest.

If you're on an OEM modified ROM (Sense, Touchwiz, Motoblur, etc), where the frameworks have been potentially "adjusted", there's no way to guarantee compatibility.
You can try, and if it works, great. If not, .
Please keep in mind, as stated in the OP and thread title, this is intended (initially) for KitKat (KK) based ROMs.
Having said that, as time permits, I will try and see what (if anything) can be done to support additional flavors.

These require signing up for and approval, for which I did not want to go through / wait on the process to get this to you guys. Mirror added to OP for Mega which doesn't require login. Normal I host my own mods, but figured uploading would be best for this one.

I'd like to try it on my SGS2 GT-I9100 with XWLSN NeatROM Lite v4.6.1.
1. If I deactivate/uninstall the module will the changes be reverted?
2. I guess I simply have to use the play store to download/install the app.
you should get this included in the xposed installer app downloads list like all the other modules!

I know the days of 4.4.2 on N5 are over for quite some time now, but I just like MIUI.
So as long as there is no official v6 I will keep using v5 on my N5. I made a daily driver for myself based
on the official Xiaomi N5 MIUI ROM with some tweaks, then I thought I will share it because it runs so fine.

datagutt sure does pretty good work. He is a good cook/porter. But having the bugs mentioned above I did not want to keep it as daily driver.

Did you just install the xposed bridge or did that occur after you made some changes in mi-tools module?
Mi-tools is not fully functional anymore for some time now. Has to do with changes the Xiaomi dev team made in the ROM.
The clock position e.g. does not work, and I don't know if some changes in mi-tools cause reboots.
On my N5 I got no reboots and I got all included modules running without any problems.
Maybe try to disable mithemes module.

I like the WSM with MiTools and MiTheme included very much. But I see sometime softreboot (when surfing theme or contacts). I think It is same to MIUI builds on offical website, Its GUI is very great but soft reboot if WSM installed

@ndminh82 seems like random soft reboot is caused by some mitool settings. I got no problems and got all modules active. I'll post my settings maybe.

bootloop: read the thread; stuff related to WSM/Xposed/mitools
heat: no problem here. Even when running intense benchmarks no problem.

Yup, seems like I can confirm it is caused by mithemes module.
Gonna remove it from the ROM. I had a certain ambivalent feeling regarding this module anyway.

That's a big fat negative. The actual Xposed framework needed to make all of these things work is currently incompatible with Lollipop Android 5.0. It is in development however so keep checking for information on Xposed for Lollipop and with any luck, you'll be in business soon.

Keepchat works in 100%. (v. 4.3.0 with Snapchat v.9.20)
Unfortunately Snapshare is not. Some additional features work (e.g unlimited text area) but when you try to share something you get error "Snapshare is not enabled. Please enable it in Xposed Installer(Snapshare is enabled in Xposed Installer)."
I belive it can be a small thing that needs to be improved to work with Lolipop.
Snapshare has been open-source software. Where is the code?
If PirateBay can survive, Snap hacks will also.

Yes it go released but you need to stay informed it's Alpha build so a lot of frameworks won't work anyway

actually no cause if you look up both Snap & Keep hacks the creator clearly states that Snapchat has actively blocked the hacks & he had the code & repo pulled so no further development can be had....that's why you don't see it on Xposed site or app

Requirements

- Sparkasse / Sparkasse+ app at least version 3.0.0
- Android 4.4+
Usage
1. Install SBXposed
2. Activate module in XposedInstaller
3. Reboot
4. Have fun with unblocked app.

I'm running CM 13.0 nightly (latest version from 2016/11/07) on a OnePlus3, I installed SuperSU 2.78 SR5, suhide 0.55 and seamless Xposed 86.1 by romracer.

I have built a version in which more things are logged. This logging is explicit only for Android <5.0 and only for debugging, as this is a performance loss.

The attachment is the apk. Sometimes the apk may be opened by a program as a zip file.

Although it's named apk, it's only shown as a zip file after the download. On my Windows device as well as on my smartphones. I can only flash zips on my phone but that's probably not the way it should work.
Edit: The download via QR worked. I will test it and tell you. Tomorrow. Short baby night ahead .

I flashed it on sm-t520 but it unfortunately doesn't work, there's a black screen right after Samsung logo and it stucks. Flash process went fine (system, boot, magisk..)

Would be very interested to have a look at this ROM, I really like the idea of the touch wiz interface being available, hopefully there will be semi\stable release in the very near future ...

@abaithad helps me a lot with t520. Now we have working rom. Some issues remain, but I think it will be resolved soon

He makes support for p605 model. As I know. he already has test versions for t320 and t325. He will send you test version if you write him in pm

t520 is working very good now. Big thanks to @abaithad. Some issues with camera may happen.

I don't have plans to add more features here. If anyone wants to make your own rom, based on this one, feel free to do it. I also uploaded kernel sources to github.
Can't get this to flash, some issue with the updater script. I wiped data, cache, dalvik cache before flashing.
This is the latest 22 June build. I've tried flashing on top of the stock Kitkat Touchwiz firmware and a custom Nougat AOSP ROM, neither of them worked.
I also tried two different TWRP version (3.1.1-0 and 3.0.2-0), that didn't help either.
By the way I used the Google Drive link initially. I would have tried the MEGA download but the link appears to be down.

Is there a possibility to retain Polaris Office Viewer in this firmware?
It's commonly used by Samsung in the most of their devices. And cannot be downloaded from market.

Now I see that it's not there in the stock SM-T800 firmware.

It's integrated into stock 6.0.1 for my SGS5, for example.[/off]
P.S. And no, the .apk from SGS5 does not work on SM-T520.

It states for T, therefore I will hazard a guess it should be W8 compatible. But till it's uploaded it's a best guess.

Has anyone tried it? If this is old Aurora team, then this should be one of the best ported roms.
Rom is working, but there is no google stuff and we must install Google services manually if we want Google Play Store etc. There are chinese characters here and here. App opening time is better than Noble and animations are more fluid. But I think Noble is way to go for Europeans.

No joy for me unfortunately, it seemed to install too quickly and it's stuck on Logo screen for over 20 mins, Galaxy S6 Edge, oh well, back to basics.
i tested, wifi not run, dial not run. tested with g925K
