[Q] Android tablet stuck in Boot - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. my first post here seems to be a issue, unfortunately, with my mom's tablet. So my sister bough a Christmas gift for my mom ... a cheap tablet called Orion TAB-700QC and it's so cheap that it doesn't any buttons beside Lock Screen/ On-Off. And a few days ago the touch screen stopped responding after boot and couldn't get beyond the lock screen and after an half of hour of rebooting it finally work and the touch screen started responding again. But a few days later it keaped giving an error that Google Search stopped responding and half the apps wouldn't work anymore so I tryd to do a Factory Reset and after I did that now it's stuck at the Boot Screen, and can't seem to go passed the Orion TAB-700QC ANDROID screen.
Any ideas how I could fix this issue (my mom really needs and wants this tablet functional soon)? And any ideas how I get the Recovery Mode because of the lack of volume buttons I can't find a way to force it to start in Recovery Mode with just one button (and a hole for Reset).

This happened to me too your device is bircked search for stock firmware for your tablet in it company site and flash it

Thanks ... it took a bit of time but I found there site and I'm downloading an UPDATE firmware ... but now I hit another problem (damn those cheap model tablets): the tablet is a bit different from the one on the site, the specs are identical but mine doesn't have a home button ... so that still leaves me with the question how do I get into recovery mode so I can flash the firmware ?

Flash using" spflash tool " it is powerful flash program for mtk devices "chinese " here is good post for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1982576
Ps:-for safety falsh android&boot etc expect the two first box "dsl&preloader" do not flash them
Ps2:- try find the same name firmware for your device if you do not find check the chinese version of the site

The site gave me Phoenix Suite V 1.08 to use to install the firmware, it's not an issue what to use to flash the firmware it's an issue how to activate ADB (debugging) when my tablet is bricked and I don't know how to boot in Recovery Mode since it has no volume buttons and no home button, with just the lock screen/ on-off button.

In your situation adb not working so you have no way to flash using phonix but you can try sp flash tool it is not required adb
Ps:-does your firmware has scatteret text? If yes you can use sp flash tool

The ROM is an img file and I don't know how to open it to say if it has or not scattered text files and I don't know if even SP Flash Tool would work since even Windows doesn't recognize or load the tablet as a volume or device ... I'm trying to install ADB Driver and USB Driver using Android SDK Manager to see if that would help.

Yes try with adb because spflash tool not supported your tablet
Mmmm I can not counting with you so sorry
Best wishes I hope god help you with this problem

I didn't ... I have to send it to the factory to reinstall OS the hard ways since there's no way to enter in Recovery Mode with just one button. I will do that next week and will update as the opportunity arises.

[Q] Fast Boot Mode in Karbonn A18

Hello I want to install ClockWorkMod Recovery on my Karbonn A18, i tried doing it using SP Flash Tool, but it gives various Errors, I want to know how can i get into FastBoot Mode in A18 so that i can install it through their ?
You must get a root app which supports your mobile. If it doesnt it may cause permanent harm to you phone. You are lucky it didnt harm your phone because i had my mobile nearly permanently bricked. Mostly changes or model of phone or firmware is the problem in rooting, etc.
Hope i helped .

Well, i m not afraid of Bricking it, because if you can find FastBoot Mode we can recover the phone Completely, i have seen few videos on Internet Mentioning that the Key for Fast Boot is Volume UP + Power but when i do this i get a Test Screen Which Features Testing of all the hardware related stuff in my mobile like GPS, Vibrator etc etc, and Volume Down + Power, it gets the phone into 3e Recovery, and that then that i don't have other keys on my Mobile so don't know how to, the problem with SP tool is that i have installed MTK6575 Drivers but the phone Automatically keeps and disconnecting instantly when recognised
Is the android OS of your mobile completely stable? This might occur if there is an error in your rom. Try flashing your rom with another stock one and see if it works

I have the same phone but mine is running android 4.0.4 can I ask you if your magnetic sensor is working? I mine is a yamaha530 but it doesn't give out data...
And please let me know if you find something, i've been searching high and low... I've even offered fastcardtech a free ftp server for all their Roms on talkingmobi.com if they can help us... Same as you I want to find out if we can use the "root many mtk65xx" here on Xda.. But I'm not really up to just testing and bricking it..
I received a reply from the phone supplier with a way to root th phone, I'll test it ASAP and post the results

So i managed to root my N9977 this is how:
Download this rar first: www.anniblue.com/xda/rootingn9977.rar
1. Enable usb debugging and connect the phone to your pc.(win xp/ wista/ 7/ 8)
2. Install Snappea and download the usb driver within Snappea, when the phone is recognized, pls turn Snapped off and click do not remember it
3. Go to pc task manager- process- kill wandoujia helper.
4. Extract MTK6577 One Key Root to your pc, and click one key root.bat, then press enter on your keyboard then on your phone there should pop up a restore screen choose restore My Data (No need to type the password). Then the phone will auto reboot twice.
Meanwhile do not touch anything on your phone or pc, or the phone will get bricked.
5. Check menu- if there is an “#” icon, if yes, it’s rooted, or do it again.
The one key root.bat is all in Chinese or some strange language but no need to do anything but click enter after you open it. Then after its installed you will get a Chinese superuser apk but just download superuser from play store and run a binary update in the new one and you'll be fine
Enjoy
I got this from the fascardtech tech support but I had to rewrite the guide as it seemed translated with Google from Chinese.

Yes, this is what happened
what i should do now
It could be some screwed up partitions but like the poster above me told you if you indeed did delete your bootloader the only way to fix it is with a riff box. I reccommend that you try reflashing the recovery the way you flashed it before and then try booting into recovery if you have any more problems pm me.

You can't use usb debugging when your phone doesn't power on. But it seems like you haven't deleted the bootloader partition but most likely wiped your system partition. Can you enter your recovery?

Try reading this or your last resort could be taking it back to Vodafone if you have warranty and say that it stopped turning on one day and act dumb. Don't tell them that you rooted and played around with it and you might get a replacement.

Hi,
Could you recover bootloader? I am also having same issue. I tried to unlock v860 mobile and when I rebooted after installing ROM my device is not booting at all.
So, have you checked devicemanager in Windows when you connect your phone with usb? Is there an unidentified driver?
Sent from my S500 using xda app-developers app
I have the same problem. I deleted bootloader from recovery. And yes on device manager it shows for about 5 sec as an unknown device. Tested win xp and win 7
Well after so many times am posting mostly just to bump this thread and seeing if anyone found a solution for this.
I still have my Smart II V860 after 1 year not working and kinda tried anything to repair it.
Was trying to put a new custum Rom to it that time and must have done something wrong at it and when did a reboot
phone got stuck on the android logo. Since then nothing worked to bring it back.
PC doesnt recognize it. If you go to device manager sometimes shows it as a modem for a few sec and just that.
Cant flash anything new couse ADB and Fastboot commands dont work couse Pc doesnt recognize the Device when conneced even why
have the right installation files for V860 while ADB is working fine with other phone i use.
I also did a home made USB Jig for it but prolly works only on Samsung devices becouse when i used it V860 just restarts
and still on Android logo and yet not recognized on fastboot or ADB.
Vodafone in here doesnt accept it for repair couse 1 year garanty contract has passed and some private mobile service companies i have tried
have not found a solution.
Looks mostly a hardbrick then softbrick to me but really dont know if anything else left to do about it.

[Q] Well... In a delirious state flased international Firmware

Flashed* haha
So I have a US version Galaxy Player 4.0 - Flashed over a Korean or Chinese (can't read them obviously lol) So I can't get into download mode at all I have tried to force it but can't get her to go. To do it with Kies I need a backup of the original, don't have that guy unfortunately. I have googled stock backup's but I can't seem to find one, I am kinda stuck - I have tried Odin of course but no dice since I can't get to download mode.
If I can force brick it then it will go to download mode automatically but I can't get that either.
Thank you for the help
Jason
First off can you get into recovery, second: is it a hard brick or soft brick.
3rd of all: if you have a galaxy player 4.0 try to look for a stock ROM for your device on the Samsung galaxy thread

It boots to the OS no problem, issue is the buttons on the side don't get you to Download Mode because the international software has it looking for a physical home key that just doesn't exist. Have you tried to get adb working then typing this command?
adb reboot download
It could help you get into the download mode. If it's not working, maybe you can try to use a usb jig to force your device to get into download mode.

I have tried this yes and I get a weird DNS error - I searched everywhere about resolving the error to no avail. I did order a USB Jig off amazon last-night as a back up because I don't know what else to do.
Is the touch screen working properly? If it's working upside down then you've flashed a part of the international firmware that there is no U.S. version of. That's why I have one Galaxy 4.0 that will never work again.
So a little update. I have gotten a USB Jig setup and I can get to download mode now. I flashed the original PID and Firmware through odin. However the touchscreen doesn't register and touch at all - Any Idea's there?

Lenovo Vibe K5 (A6020a40) Dead (or Bricked? ??) After Flashing Stock ROM

Hello. I have flashed my Lenovo Vibe K5, former build A6020a40_S004 to A6020a40_105, hoping for that VoLTE update. Following the proper steps and downloading the Stock ROM Firmware from trusted supplier, my phone won't boot into anything: recovery, or normal. Though the LED lights up when connected to a computer. However, it doesn't appear on my computer or hear that USB chime. I'm using a Windows 10 (which I've seen many have issues with Windows 10 and drivers) running on Bootcamp 6. I appreciate it if you guys could help me. Thank you very much.
By the way, I have no custom recovery installed. Just the basic Android System Recovery <3e> and I'm not that familiar with Android systems.

Thanks! Can you tell me how? I've been researching about this as well for a long time now. Any help is appreciated.
Yes my bud. I will provide you the link shortly to some SDK tools so that you can flash your recovery IMG again and et access to recovery mode. I know that situation is chaotic and sucks but I am assuming that you aren't able to access twrp or anything.when you turn the phone on it gets stuck at lenovo and after few minutes it gets restarted on its own. And on connection g it to computer, it just doesn't get connected and nothing appears to be connected. I want you to take the battery out and place it again after few minutes and press the "vol down" button and "power button at the same time. You'll see the same lenovo icon but there will be something written in Chinese or something like that. Now connect your phone to your computer and I advise you to use a very good quality data sharing cable or original lenovo cable. Now your computer will recognise your phone as a hard drive or a storage device.i I'll try to upload a video on that too. Till then try these steps and lemme know if they work and your computer recognises your dead phone.if it does then there is still a hope left. BTW I was stuck in the same situation twice but thank god I saved myself and I am using my device. Note:- this method doesn't uses any software like " QFIL" or "QCOM" loader to flash stock firmware. Hope it works

PS. Can you please DM me the links or if it isn't a loss for you you may just reply it here.
Thanks in advance and more power. The world needs more people like you.

Hey man. Justin here, again.
You may reach me through "[email protected]".
It doesn't show anything. Though, the LED light illuminates when connected to a power source or laptop. I'm starting to think it's absolutely hopeless. But please do message me anyway.
Fondly,
Justin
I think you have hard bricked your phone but still let's try

Tried removing battery, its still in bootloop.
