You either need to edit the registry for internet explorer to be used or you need to install opera. M2D is configured to use opera. You wont see any vm alerts other than the very first one it does. All you can to is watch your top bar for the icon to popup letting you know there is a message.
Last but not least, there is many threads dedicated to M2D. I'd suggesst you post within those instead of starting a new one.

Your firs tquestion has been answered so I will address the second half of the questoin.
No, it doesnt show unread voicemail! I hate that.
But anyways, I did create a nice ROM as someone else posted to you. Give it a try. You will like it.

Hi guys,
When I play games and tap on the touchscreen it starts to horribly lag.
CPU usage goes up to 50% when you're tapping on the screen for more than too seconds(gwes.exe)

As you see it's a common problem

i havent come across this problem before although i would suggest perhaps trying the newest version of that rom as i believe that there is a v18 released at the moment.

Just try a game with touchscreen controls for example fishocopter (like icopter)

The 1st is a TV app called the channeler which you can watch free TV with over hundred station and many languages.
The 2nd is a game called chipperx , a freeware game I found with 4 levels. Its a run and jump type game which is really fun , plus a very responsive on arcade screenpad check out the photos . If what I posted here you already have let me know , I try to find newer items.

Ok hello welcome to the thread tomasz. To answer your question is very simple. Iam new to this , so what I have done was download some games and apps and tested them out. After I tested them out I will put here what works. This way a thread could be made with already tested downloads , not just downloads that might not work. And no the chipperx game download is only here.

This is a simple game just for fun . Shoot the ball to the top beat the opposing paddle. Little pac-man type charactors pop-up after you score , hit him and your score jumps high. I thought the game was fun but easy at the same time

can any one tell me how to set proxy settings WORKING with HTC HD2
i already tried below methods but non working at alln and i am only able to browse the Local Network (Interanet) but no access to the internet.
1. set Network card to connect to work and edit My work connection Proxy settings.
2. using ProxyOn.cab file and editing the registry key of proxy setting
i've tried all of these with and without Hard reset Soft Reset
i am able to brows the internet when i connect my phone to a PC through Sync and set the Proxy and IP Manually
i am sure that DHCP is working fine with my phone becuase i can go through local network
as i asked HTC support they told me :
You can only set up proxy server for wifi via 3rd party application Unfortunately we are unable to help with your query as we don not support third party applications. Please refer to the software vendor for further assistance. As far as we know this application may not be compatible. We hope that you will find further assistance with the software developer. you are right there is no proxy in config tab in mini or any where else
if you have visited this thread you may have using an HTC and any htc device may be able to use opera mobile.

THANK YOU! The experts in my university's computing and network services said nothing could be done! The registry tweak didn't work! No instant reply from HTC, and yet the solution is as simple as opera:config!
but as you may know ONLY opera web browser is connected to internet.
and the apps like NimBuzz, weather and etc are still unable to connect.

Hi if you want to use proxy for your WiFi one important thing is to setup the connection to connect to Work, not to Internet.
Go to Start->Settings Connections tab, tap Wi-Fi, tap Wireless Networks. Select the network you'd like to connect to (or add new one) and on the first screen you'll see a dropdown named Connects to. Here you have to set it to Work, NOT TO Internet. Apply the settings (if you're adding a new connection, insert all the other data too).
Next go to Start->Settings Connectins tab and tap Connections. Go to tab Advanced and tap Select Networks button. From the first dropdown select My Work Network (if it isn't there create it and name it so). Edit this setting (tap button Edit). Open the tab Proxy Settings. Check both checkboxes and tap on Advanced button. Here you'll have to specify your proxy addresses and ports. For me to get it to work I had to specify HTTP and Socks.
Set this up and apply all settings you have done so far.
Go to Start->Settings Connections tab and tap connections. Go to tab Advanced and tap Select networks button. Now select My Work Network also in the second drop down and apply the changes.
I hope it'll work for you. The whole thing depends on the type of proxy you have and what kind of authentication it uses.
I've tested it on HTC Touch HD (Windows Mobile 6.1) and on Ipaq 114 (Windows Mobile 6.0).

Since you're so generous on advice, here's a thought: A man of your character has most certainly heard of a german comedian Stefan Raab. The thing is, he wrote songs out of quality quotes. So I thought you write a little something out of your last two posts here and publish it on YouTube. Put a little music to it, etc. You know how it goes, right? I'm telling you, you are the material of success. And with such great gadget you own, you could do it directly with your phone and then afterwards even post a tutorial about it here on xda!
Last but not least, there's a slight dissapointment navidnouri... navidnouri, navidnouri, navidnouri..... I put so much hope in you and you didn't answer my questions. Common, be a MAN, show guts, do it. Don't let xda down, it wouldn't be fair.... My Best Friend had buyd a Chinese Android Smartphone Cubot Echo this Month and we informed us about some specius Malware and this stuff. So we decided to download the Mobile Security from ESET and made a scan and its shown a TrojanDropper, so we decided again to flash the rom from the official Forum from Cubot . After we flashed it we dowloaded ESET Security again . Again this TrojaDropper in the GecodeServices ... he cant use the Phone with this TrojanDropper because its sending data to china if my logical understanding is correct. Maybe some of you want know it and make something out of it , hope you can help me in some time If you have question i can maybe answer it but im not so good in english so pardon me if i cant answer correct .P.S.: How do i post a screenshot of the result? im new in this forum so its said no you musst answer 10 post or somethimg else?

I have disabled the geocode service and so far have no more unathorised apps installing themselves but don't feel I can trust this phone. I haven't had time to play around much yet but, tried Kingoroot but failed to root my device so have not yet been able to try removing the malware.
I've contacted Cubot but they haven't replied. Will follow up on any progress I make.

How do you disable the geocode on this. I too am increasingly dissatified with this phone. The new upgrade forces you to use Google and removes any other web browser when you shut down. It doesn't like Dolphin. I have to download that everyday. It's huffing and puffing over Opera mini and now Firefox. I've not loaded up any other apps since the new upgrade.
I find it quite disturbing that my phone is forcing me to use things I don't want to use. I don't trust this phone either.
I quite liked Cubots, which is more the pity.
I think it's time to look for another phone...

Solution to the cubot echo adware?
Being a rooting virgin, and not knowing/understanding all the steps suggested by Ngadhnjim (despite being tempted to try anyway) I decided to try once more to reset my echo to the factory settings, but with a difference. This time on the restart I immediately stopped and then disabled the embedded youtube app. So far, it's been a couple of weeks, the phone has behaved perfectly, no sign yet of the dreaded lmuch web page or spurious ads. I will repost here if it starts misbehaving again. Until I do, it has behaved itself.
If it does start to misbehave, I will be asking Ngadhnjim if he could detail all the steps needed, from the very beginning, to set the phone up like he has.
