Due to limits on my time and the fact I have multiple devices I need to keep updated it isn't possible for me to continue providing ROM updates indefinitely. Please do not be under the assumption that future releases will be available (I don't want you to be disappointed!).

Thanks man, seeing as Krab has stopped thought I would carry on with CarbonRom
Edit: Gonna have a go at Omni now too

Should we go to Sony 4.3 first?
I am on CM10.2 Currently.

Well I have, but thats because I wanted to try Sony's 4.3... All I can suggest is try it and see what happens, if you end up with no data/radio then you will have to upgrade. But I think the general concensus is that its better to go to Sony 4.3 first

Nice!
Sent from my C6833 using Tapatalk

Thank you!
Is there still no way to just flash a zip in recovery for the Sony 4.3?
I think I already forgot how to do it the FTF way, or what else is involved...
If we go to Sony 4.3 and then to this rom, is there no way to easily go back to a restore that's CM10.2? (Because the baseband will be at a higher version?)

Yes it does have immersive mode

Thanks, I was running krab's carbon for ages, then omni befor I built my own Sony stock 4.3.
Now I have the dilemma of do I go back to 4.4 and carbon or do I stick with my own build of 4.3

^^ yep.. same decision to be made here. (which is :good: )
Thx @[vertigo]
Btw.. (Noob Q): If planning to enable ART, do we need to flash the ART specific gapps at the rom flash stage, or only after enabling ART? (or not at all, just normal gapps) cheers

Neat! Wow, it´s running so nice. But i´m missing the fullscreen mode (pie controll)

Aroma Gapps work, FM works too, all in all it works just great!
Just don't forget to install Superuser and change "Root access" in the developer options else you won't be able to give apps root access

yes, install is always same, wipe data&cache and install zip. every rom zip formats system, so you dont need wipe system too. i also not recommend wipe system.

Some more things that people might wonder/or not..
- GPS does not work (any workarounds?)
- Photosphere: the one posted on the slimroms homepage doesn't work, however this one on xda works http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116851
- WIFI seems to be dropping quite often in quite irregular intervals. Haven't had that with other custom roms yet.
Tried it and went back to "CARBON-JB-UNOFFICIAL-20131009-1902-serranoltexx.zip" in less than an hour. I simply did not find a reason to chose slim over carbon. Carbon rom is just so perfect :good::good: Setting layout in carbon is hands down 10x more intuitive. Moreover I noticed that battery drained much faster in heavy use with slim rom in comparison to carbon.

Sure man . I meant no harm. I even donated additional amount to arco68 to show my gratitude for supporting S4 mini LTE. I was not even addressing issues that do not work. Carbon just feels more intuitive and easy to me, and this introduces no over the top features that I need, but its just me .

And tomorrow we will have a stock drop as well - stock 4.4.2 anyone?
Thanks for yet more choice in the rom we run
hi, I came from GPe rom, did the following ritual:
1. in recovery I just wipe chace and dalvic and then flas aokp rom and gapps
2. phone attempt to boot but it looks like it will take forever so I force shutdown, back to recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe chace and dalvic, re-flashed ROM and gapps
3. phone boot fast, installing TB to restore my backup datas
- un-writable sd card persist, so I did this FIX (it works with GPe version ROM) and then reboot the phone..
- booting took a long time with glitched bootanimation, had to force shutdown and then press the power again, phone boot fast but the SD card write problem still persist.
- also can tell that during TB opening there is a pop up telling the device is not properly rooted and sugested to use Supersu, I ignored it and I uninstalled a few system apps, but after reboot the uninstalled system apps back again.
basically I do like this ROM, I never use AOKP before, but atm I am back to GPe rom..
Thanks!

You must have a custom recovery installed that allows SELinux.
Download the HTC Droid DNA build .
Locate Slim 4.4 Gapps here.
Fully wipe your device from Recovery if you are not coming from SlimKat already.
Reboot into recovery and install.
Load this up last night. All went smooth. I really like the DPI. Almost looks like santods max layout. Thanks for the new ROM to play with.

Glad you enjoy it Please hit that thanks button or (if you really like) it, donate to me. I'll be taking a poll above for how to proceed the next few builds (full / ota zips)
Any bugs that I should focus on fixing guys?
I have been running this since about an hour after you posted it. I have between poking around as much as I can and have found no problems. I would love to have the hover feature added but I know that is not a slimkat feature. When I can I will shoot you a donation. Thanks for the gray ROM.
Why is everything smaller? DPI change? I like it.

Xposed Unicon should at the very least allow you to theme icons.
Can't get root to flash via recovery. It fails every time.
edit: you guys will get 7.6 once i can finish some other builds...thank you guys so much for being patient with me during my little off time, and my server problems

Awesome will download once new build comes a out, Question do we really need to use flashtool. Or can't we just flash using recovery. And is it possible to bake recovery into rom or kernel.

Layers may give you some problems because this ROM has somewhat you can say inbuilt theming options. You should be able to use anything except framework and UI without conflict. Maybe can use UI as well but the the power manu nay get broken and leads you to a reboot every time you try to access it.
You anyway won't need layers because the inbuilt theming options are quite beautiful.
I'll definitely provide you all with screenshots when I have a faster internet connection. Enjoy! ?
Thanks to @rogersb11 for making his ROM open source, so some folks like me can enjoy it! @vikrantarya1, thank you for the build; hopefully it's OK to share them here on XDA. Regarding the theming for those people who aren't familiar with this ROM, there are so many color options Brett built in to this that there is NO NEED to use Layers at all - you can literally theme everything to your liking.
@SteveMurphy is right, its something unique with awesome options blended in coupled with smoothness. I am literally shocked to see the smoothness I am getting after enabling most of the ROM features. Quite unbelievable for me.

there is a problem with this rom. I flashed on my N5 and auto rotation isnt working. It works only un vertical. I restored my nandbackup and is rotating just fine.
Something is happening there...
Its a shame because the rom look pretty good

Confirmed. Unfortunately it looks like all sensors don't work. I have checked system for sensor related files and i think they are all there and in the right place

Yes, I can confirm this as well. We must remember that this ROM isn't specifically made for our N5 (Brett doesn't own one), so there will be some bugs here and there. If we can post logs to help Vikrant, then that will be most helpful (although the color change isn't something log-able).
Edit: just noticed Slim recents crashes, so I've attached a log for Vikrant - hope it helps!
Thanks for getting me the bugs
I'll definitely have a look at all of them! ?
Edit : For quick settings colours just switch on the custom colours switch under themes in settings.
is this rom just for D820 version (US) or will it work on d821 as well (international)
new to this rom. Seems awesome! Is there a way to change the icons in slimpie?

Well there are custom colours and other options. It has all the features of all the ROMs you'll ever see. You get everything you can. So give a try.

I already fixed it. Build's fine now with no bugs. Releasing in sometime.
That slim recents crashes must be occurring because of some app icon conflicting with it. They are working fine too. ?

Theming of the ROM has changed too now.

Updated with the fixes.
Latest Build: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572388905583143
CyanideMods has been re-themed with changed colors too.
Feel free to report any other bugs you face. Thank You and Enjoy the ROM!
I'll add the all the screenshots tomorrow.
