Hey! What's Up guys?
I am going to tell you little tweak to improve your free memory.
Galaxy Star has just 512MB of RAM and many suffer due to that!
Using this will help that.
This is using a tweak called "Adrenaline Boost" developed by @ImbaWind .
This is for both GT-S5280 and GT-S5282.
And will also work for all other android phones out there!
This is has been tested in my GT-S5282 and works like charm.
Here is the guide to do that:
Prequisites:
A rooted Samsung Galaxy Star with ClockWorkMod recovery (CWM 6 preffered).
You need to have BusyBox and all its binaries installed! [Link]
You also need Terminal Emulator! [Link]
Procedure:
Download the Adrenaline_Boost_Prime.zip from the thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542602 ( It's there in the first posts attachment!)
Copy the file to extSDCard (or sdcard too).
Now boot into CWM Recovery.
Now go to "Mounts and Storage" in Recovery Menu.
Choose "Mount /system"
Go back to the Recovery Main Menu.
Now choose Install Zip from sdcard
Choose the zip (adrenaline_boost_prime.zip) from sd card and flash it.
Its quite a quick process.
Now reboot.
Open Terminal Emulator. And type su.
Now type 'boost'.
It will now boost your memory.!
How it works:
Basically this Adrenaline Boost installs a little binary called 'boost' into the /system/bin .
When we call this binary throught the terminal this app gets into action.
The 'boost' clears your old system cache, gets more free ram for you and gravely boosts your phone's performance! :laugh:
Warnings:
Adrenaline Boost clear your system cache and your cpu will work harder to build back needed cache.
You system need caches to work , this boost is intended to clear old cache that are no longer using and let the system to build new cache, so if you boost it too often , your cpu will be very busy building needed caches and may consume more battery than normal !
Boost it only when you need it, then there will be no problem!
I am now getting a free memory of around 150MB - 200MB using boost!
And thats great because before this my star would be having some 100MB free during idle!

Yeah that would be great. But its not possible now!
But you can make it execute every time you launch a terminal session!
Go to Terminal Emulator -> Preferences -> Initial Command and enter
"
su
boost
"
Click OK and exit. Now whenever you open terminal , Boost will execute!

Messing with the Linux core system operations noting more.
Move you launcher from your front pocked to back one
Increase decrease some IO stuffs in CPU ,R/W and etc.
Nothing special just change values.
You know what the nominall mean right ?
Like your subwoofer (if you have one) om back of speacker you saw 120 W min. / 240 W nom. / 540 W max. Which mean you woofer work best on 240 W , its can blow your windows and can work on 540 W too but can cause heat and can burn
That what's supercharger do higher some values which increase "things" and "stufs"

I've done nothing wrong but it bricks my phone, I had to reset/re-root/re-install cwn/restore the backup :-/
Maybe a step by step would be nice :-/ ? I don't know
BTW, I've the U20i I've installed the latest busybox by a maket installer too because the script didn't like the version already on the device.

To check your free memory install root explorer (pay) or titanium backup (free)
To run all option you must have a lot of free space in system (at least 250mb)
Did not work for me. Getting this line:
unzip: zip flags 1 and 8 are not supported.

Did you remember I said we haven't more space in system in Sammy JB SGS2...
I said to you this script not working on SGS2 If need space in system partion...
This is better you work on this pb first....

i try dexo -sys in my second rom and i have a pb with supersu now :
Unfortunately, SuperSu has stopped.
i have a supersu.odex file now in my \system\app and some other, 5 exactly, so there are all corresponding with apks in \system\app\
Because i use JB 4.1.2 in second rom using a "certain exotic but good method", i dont use preload folder and all apks system are in \data\sec_data\ folder of ROM and they are symlinked (in \system\app\ folder) like if they were in \preload\ folder (as in 1rst rom normal use)
so i made some change in your dexo script and i suppose it works because of odex existens

i don't now why supersu's going in fc... try to reinstall it with market

4. I flashed the mods using cwm 6.0.2.8 and all of them work like a charm
Note:
Dont use Task killers after using these.
Do Make a CWM Nandroid backup just in case anything goes wrong (There was no problem for me).
Steps:
-Download all attachments.
-Put them in extsd
-Go to CWM Recovery using Hardware keys.
-Flash all the zip files(flash sqlite4.1x.zip after flymodbeta6.zip so it works perfectly, pure grfx mod is seperate flash it before or after flymod)
-Reboot(will take time optimizing the apps)
-Feel the smoothness

but hw can I patch services. jar...??
There is a automatic script for patching services.jar which causes bootloop and manual way ie. Decompiling and using smali baksmali.... Something i didnt get so i dont know how to do that however u can achieve 50% supercharged status
The tweaks i told about work wonders on my phone temple run 2 was very responsive and smooth

Yep i used the odin flashable kernel for our device which supports init.d (i have posted the link ) and checked if init.d support was there or not. It showed no support and then i used the uni init app (link to thread on 1st post) and checked using the same and there it was

It doesnt lag at all in my mobile(pure rendering hd improves responsive and it is very smooth for me- fly on mod i havent noticed(since the first worked too good but it definitely didnt slow my device)
I think u use task killers. if u do then dont. That will make your device slow.
And it did increase benchmark scores.
Btw which launcher do u use( if its espier, it does lag for me)
I use nova launcher.. And no i don't use task killer even i don't have any app to do that also its the only MODS/TWEAK that i use it on my phone and u r right i notice that my benchmark score had been risen and it was smooth in games but i don't recommend the tweak but i recommend the pure graphic HD and now im using it. It work pretty well

After days of looking for a solution to the problem of every 2011 device I've finally managed to do it!
Many of you wanna enable ART functionnality in 4.4.2 because the device start "flying" with such a pill. So I've managed to modify the Int2Ext v2 script to run it lagless and conserving initial performance.
Prerequesites:
1. You have to make an EXT partition (I've got an EXT4 1 GB partition)
2. Flash the script BEFORE the first boot (like any other package such as gapps).
3. (Optionnal) Reboot once, and enable ART in developement menu.
4. Enjoy!
What it does exactly?
1. Increase the readahead cache for your sd to 4096 kb
2. Transfers /data/app & /data/app-private to the ext partition of the SD
3. Everything that a CronMod-INT2EXT script does

Small FAQ & corrected verision to avoid signal loss:

3. About the "internal memory waste" Guys, please check the description of what the script is doing and what folders are moved onto EXT-partition. If everything would so simle as that, even ART mode couldn't overcome the laggynes and the lack of performance after moving everything to sdcard. The script is moving ONLY APKs to the EXT-partition. Dalvik, libs etc remains on the 470 Mb NAND to conserve initial performance. But enen that amount of free space is not enough to run ART experience at it full potential. because of very large dalvik-cache size.
4. EXT partition. Just google, XDA contains tons of manuals and tools to create one. If you'd like to simply try ART 512 MB one will be enough, you'll reach the internal NAND limitation. If you want using it in normal mode you can make the partition as large as you like.
5. Concerning the loss of signal, I think there are some lack of time for the device itself to get the new location of the files, so try this new package.

UPDATE: Working fix for signal loss
It's running brilliantly onthe latest CarbonRom on my Satsuma. The partitions now mean I don't need Link2SD. Seems stable so far. Many thanks. Great idea.

I experimented, and found that it only worked if I flashed after first boot.
-Flash Kernel
-Flash Rom
-Flash GApps
-Boot
-Flash Script

-Turn on ART

Problem!!
I flashed the script before booting first time after flashing the rom but it dod not work. Then i flashed the script after first boot,it worked. But now my phone is not detecting sim card and also in settings baseband version,IMEI number are gone. Please help!!

It didn't work on Beanstalk 4.4.270. I flashed before and after first bot, always clean install, but it stucks on boot logo.

Before I did much as 728MB FAT32 partition. This is caused because I did not do a partition with label Ext-4?

-I Wanted to install some apps as user but all turned out to be system
-There is force closing on some apps (due to bug above)
[FIX]Open Titanium Backup and click on the app then swipe to get to advanced
and select "convert to user app" and then app will work normal
[BetterFIX] Go to mi file explorer and go to /system/app
click on the apps that are fc-ing and reinstall

-Apps that forceclose Quickpic,Opera Mini, Juicedefender(for some ppl),MX player
Installation:-
-Put t3rom.zip in extsd
-Boot To recovery using combination, adb or thru some app.
-make sure it is cwm 6.x
-Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache

i hve provided titanium backup and choices since many like es explorer
but u can uninstall or freeze second app it is safe
i wnated to include these as user apps but their permissions became different
if u find force close on any app convert to user app
