[ROM][HELP]SlimICS v4.2 - DS5 - Streak 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good evening,
I have started to work on porting Slim ICS rom to our Streak 5. Slim ROM is really fast and smooth on older HTC devices, so I think we can get good performance by using this rom on our Streak too.
I ported this rom from HTC One X Slim ICS ROM to base Kibuuka´s AOSP ICS ROM.
Unfortunately, I´ve got bootloop at boot animation. I can see boot animation, but it looping the same tasks (see logcat).
So that´s why I want to ask for help with developing of this rom. I´m noob, I can´t fix that problem.
Thanks for any help
ROM (only 64 MB!!!)
Sorry, I cant give you link, i have less then 10 posts. If you want to help me, write PM, i will send you link (dropbox)

try help

[REQUEST] Port HTC Legend ROM with Flash Lite 4

Can someone out there port HTC Legend ROM to Optimus One? I just want the flash lite that is working on the Legend. Apparently it can only work with the HTC sense ui and HTC browser. So can someone port the Legend rom altogether? Legend has the same processor type and speed. So I hope that there will be no problem. Please don't tell me to download Skyfire. I just hate it.
Cheers
people just should do it like on the iphone make flash as other plugin for the browser i am sure we can make 10.2 to work
if i would find anyway to extract adobes 10.1 maybe we can rewrite the code for the lgp500

In December 2011, The first custom ROM for South Korean version Dell Venue was developed by South Korean user 'LEEDROID'.[3] It solved the issue related with ClockworkMod recovery, blocking progress in the development of custom ROM for Dell Venue. This beta version ROM is still in development, aiming at first fully functioning custom ROM for Dell Venue.

Developers Needed to Port ICS to Viewpad 7

Dear Viewpad 7 users,
Everybody says our beloved Viewpad 7 is too old for Ice Cream Sandwich but thats not true. I own a Galaxy Ace which has the same CPU only the turbo version which runs @ 800Mhz. And it runs ICS like a dream.
The Viewpad 7 is overclockable to 864Mhz and maybe with a better kernel it can go even higher. So it has enough preformance for ICS. I can even run ICS on my Phone @ 600Mhz.
So whatever they say ICS on our Viewpad 7 is possible..
Even the Legendary HTC G1 gets Ice Cream Sandwich.
You can see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ym4A82ft5pw
Please Developers help us port ICS to our Viewpad!
Good news for my viewpad7. Thank you for new information.
it would be great but we still not even got gingerbread so dont wanne get mij hopes up
+1, I use my Commtiva N700 daily and would love to have ICS running on it. Bought ~3yrs ago and still beats most tablets for features!

Excuse me, not to rain on the parade or something, but what's the status on those ITE driver things ? Were the sources for them ever released ?
Those seem kinda important for the whole "port ICS" project, as far as I can tell...

No problem it isnt raining yet
The driver will not be a problem, but apparently a overclocked kernel might break the ITE driver.
However ICS can run on our device without overclocking
And there probably is a way around this issue anyway
Happy to help if I can
If I can get some support getting drivers, etc. I would be more than happy to generate an ICS ROM. I am very experienced in modifying stock roms (and specifically with the ViewPad 7), and have AOSP ready for mods. I need some assistance in knowing exactly what to extract from the stock rom in order to make sure wifi, etc work... So if someone more experienced in that wants to help out as an advisor we can make this happen pretty quickly.
I need to help, but I'm noob for linux's os. Now I try to collect the infomation with my bad english and google translate. If someone have a time please post link step-by-step howto port and that will very helpful for starter and noober. Thank you.

Please help this good man in finding what he needs. For i dont know where to find it myself.
But i know its there
That is awesome they released something for ICS for VPAD7 but it doesn't solve the problem of ARM6 not being supported by flash. They have the architecture but they just stopped working on it. So basically we get the look of ICS but still on 2.2.2 level of performance? Is it an improvement or just cosmetic?

Yes ICS brings alot of improvements with it. Indeed sadly the flash support is indees limited.
PS: What do you mean ICS is released for Viewpad 7 ?
No 2.3 still
Good news but the problem that i can see developers stopped creating ROMs for VP7 - they stopped working on 2.3 and i can't find anything re that to update my VP7 so hope they will look back to create more ROMs for ICS and GB as well as i am afraid of the speed with ICS
Any news on JB for Viewpad 7
Hi Friends,
I'm a noob on Android. I was looking for someone to advise what we would need to create the JB ROM for Viewpad 7. I know we will need drivers for the chipsets on the VP7. But there must be so many other things needed as well. Is there any developer who can help or even guide. I'm willing to do what is needed. I really want to get JB on this.
What I do know is we have:
CPU: Qualcomm MSM7227
WiFi: AR6000 Chipset
GPU: ARDENO 200
I also know that the above chipsets are used on the Xperia X10 and as such the Xperia X10 has a working (if not stable) JB ROM.
SO any one out there, please help.
Thanks
Gaurav
Doesn't it help that adobe has discontinued support for flash on Android?

[Q]Noob android develoment

Hello and sorry if this question is answered a million times!im an owner of huawei ideos x5 pro also knowned as U8800+ we are a small community here and all we've got is stock based rom and one buggy chinese based miuiv4 and also for gb cm7,miui also chinese based and stock based roms too!!
As you can see our main rom are based on stock like mine now that i have build with cydwin some tweaks like v6 and some changes!
My point and problem is that we dont have any devs at all!we have one chinese dev that now develops roms kernels and roots for all chinese mobiles so he can deal only with us!we have stock 4.0.3 but no support on miui or cm at all no device tree no nothing only one buggy stock ics and kernel sources!
Can someone willing who has time and wants to help 200-300 ppl have what other more famous phones have!like cm9/10 or at least a little help on start to make at least device tree and then im able with reading and understanting to try to make some cm based rom!
I dont have myself knowlage over coding ,programing but i manage to learn myself how rom cooking works, cydwin, edit apks, scrits etc those easy thinks!
If anyone can help we all be grateful!
Thanks and sorry again if something like this post i already answered!

[Q] Root Help

Hey Guys i got my Desire X today and its a great device just loved it . So update me with the development ongoing . First i want to root my DX so found an easy article instead of the hason2000 toolkit here it is http://bit.ly/SgMpSf
So, has anyone tried this and what about CWM, Kernel, Rom progress...update me with everything guys i hav no idea whats going on around. Thnks
Well the toolkit works( great job hasoon) CWM is a bit buggy but works too. There's a full sense ROM by The Android Manual, no download link yet, and there's a CyanogenMod 9 port by Lloir, also a great job.
Sent from my HTC Desire X using xda premium
Uhm, let's put things into perspective : there's a cwm recovery image that works, but no ROM's that pass muster. The CM9 that loirr did is a very first test-build, that's waiting to be picked up by someone with a Desire X to fully develop, test and fix, and the other one, a full sense stock rom by Android Manual, that isn't available for download.
In short : there's no custom ROMs at the moment.
