[Q] Galaxy star gt-s5280 password retrievel. - Samsung Galaxy Star

Hello,
i bought recently a s4 and gave my lg prada to a friend of me. The thing is he wanted to log in to the google store and email.. when he came to the conclusion he forgot his password for that email / google account. He did not enter any recovery fall backs for that account ( like sending a sms to his phone or a one time use password to another email ). But since he can still log in to the play store on his old phone i concluded that the password still has to be stored on his old gt-s5280.
Is there any way to recover it?
I just rooted his phone.. i found some articles about recovering passwords from the web browser with root explorer within data/data/ and then the browser map. I did found the tool usb cleaver, but they are all for different passwords then the one im trying to recover.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
greetings mellow.

Find out used gmail address with adb?

Hi,
I used a pattern lock and a friend tried to often to unlock with the wrong one so I get a message now telling me I should login with gmail address and pw to unlock.
Problem now is I know the password but I don't know my gmail address (only needed it for play store on that phone).
So I flashed the kernel with cwm 6.x.x to that I9100g phone and I can get in that cwm and plugin the usb cable to my pc. I
can now use adb on my pc. So is there a way/a command in adb to find out which gmail address I used?

If you have a custom rom, boot into recovery and format system. Then reflash your rom and anything else your ROM needs flashed to work. You will have to set up a new Google account losing your contacts emails and paid apps... but if you ever remember your old google account, you can log in as both and get everything back. (Your free apps and data are saved.) If you used titanium backup, you can restore your old accounts. (Or any other backup app that saves your account)

The files now in my data folder(s) are the only chance to find the used gmail adress so wiping everything isn't an option
I searched around via adb (while I was in cwm6 and mounted /data) and found the file /data/system/accounts.db and in there I found my gmail adress :good:

Sorry that I respond to an old post, but I have a problem. My grandma forgot her google account password and I've tried for hours to guess it and I remembered about the adb stuff. I am very noob at adb stuff and I need help. Can I somehow find her google account password using some adb commands? She has a phone with android 5.1 if that info is of any help. I activated the usb debugging but the phone is not rooted. I really need to find her password so I can get her the covid certificate(green pass or whatever it's called). Also she didn't put her phone number or a recovery email so that's a no go, I've tried that. Can someone help me, please?
Sorry for necroposting but im in an excat same situation but im a noob at this. Can someone tell me how he did it?

[Q] Problem Setting up Google Account on Lenovo A278t

Hi, I have this problem, I bought a Lenovo A278t Dual Sim Phone with Android 2.3.5 for China Market...I brouth my phone to Mexico and put the SIM of Telcel Carrier, the phone works great, but when trying to look for Google Play app, I wasn´t abble to find it anywhere on my phone, So I did I google serach to find out that Google for chinese devices has very limited acces, and sometimes the google apps dos not come pre installed on the device, so this is a pian in the "#$#%& so what I did is following some threads, I fianally could dounlowd and apk from and open market on the web, So I finally installed Google Play on my phone, so far so good...
The problem is when trying to open the app it prompts me to set up the google account on the device...so I go to Accounts & Sync just to find out there is only the option for an Exchange account, not Goggle account, either way I input as follows...
Email: [email protected]
Password: mypassword*****
Then the following screen ask for:
Domain\Username: \[email protected]
Password: mypassword****
Server: m.google.com
Use secure connection (SSL): I tried checked and unchecked
the result: Nothin....just a message that says:
Setup could not finish...unable to open connection to server...
or
Setup could not finish...This server requires security features your phone does not support
I tried doing the set up without the SIM on the phone, but same situation, no set up is completed.
Note: This device is on the list of authorized devices by google, so the android license is recognized by Google. The Chinese carrier is China Mobile, but since my pohone is now in Mexico the Mexicna Carrier is now TELCEL, Hope Google tries to do something to fix this issues on an OS so popular as android. Is a hame I have to waste so much time in order to buy some great apps.
Hope someone can get a solution.
Thanks!

Recover stored email password

Lg g2 android 5.0.2

Showing the password in the default e-mail app and recovering it.

(my mistake for the topic title, it ought to have been "how to recover the password from the default e-mail app")
My phone has a password saved in the e-mail app that I'd like to recover. I've found some solutions though not very informative about the details of the process,, so i was hoping maybe someone has a way to recover the password from the default e-mail app on the Galaxy S6. Supposedly you can use an e-mail server , ( its a while since I've done it on a computer ) , so if anyone has any step by step guide to getting the password, anything in a more detailed way then the post here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355165),
Clarifying that this is for a phone thats rooted
Thanks

Because I just bought a new phone and I already transfer my files from my old phone to my new one. My problem is I forgot the password one of my gmail account in the old phone. I need opinions or recommendations from android expert here. I am also newbie here. And sorry if there is an error on my english. Thank you in advance
