[Q] Black Gmail widget - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Can anyone help me find a black Gmail widget ?
I have looked everywhere and cant seem find it but I know it exists.
The ones I did find are from 2010 to 2012 and outdated.
If there really is no app out there compatible with 4.3 roms then there must be a way to make the stock Gmail app widget black.
I am really so sick of the white Gmail widget. The theme on my phone is transparent black so one page that is white kills the beauty of my phone.
Please someone help me out. I am really desperate to get or make my Gmail widget black.

I'd give my right arm to be able to make Gmail and Hangouts widget inverted.
One option I've found, if you don't mind switching launchers, is Go Launcher Ex. They have their own message and email widget. Once you download the launcher, the widget, and the dark/transparent widget theme then your good to go. I'll download it and post screen shots after I get home.
There should be done way to dive into the code and change that stuff ourself. Unfortunately this is beyond my current comprehension of coding.
Oh. Another thing that helps is am app called 'screen filter'. It turns the white pixels gray to a percentage of your choosing. This doesn't fit into your theme, but it does help protect your eyes from the stark contrast of white widget on black background at night time.
Be easy not too easy,
Ky

Display appointments on homescreen?

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to display my upcoming apointments on the lockscreen. I heard there was a app that could do this, but I forgot the name and I can't find the link anymore at the forum it was posted. I found some other apps but they don't seem to work with sense.
If somebody knows a way to do this, please tell me. Opening the calander is annoing and I want to see what I got coming up when I wake up the phone. The screen is just being empty anyway
why dont you place calendar widget on the main screen? the same thing, but you just have to unlock the phone..
Because there is not enough room. I got the clock/weather thing there and 8 shortcuts to the apps I use most (phone, contacts, internet etc) so there is no room left to place a widget. I now got the small calender widget on the next panel along with apps I user a bit less often. Its not ideal but I guess I have to manage as I learned creating a lockscreen app is pretty much impossible as there are no options for this in the SDK.
For me it works a lot better to have it on the lockscreen because that way I can see what appointments I got without having to do anything. I will see it everytime I turn on the phone which is a great way not to forget.
Is is worth to find a room for 4x1 widget and you can use e.g. "Agenda Widget". In 4x1 widget it's showing 4 next appointments and for me it is great.
That might work. What is the name? If I search agenda widget in the market I can only find things like calender widget.
Even if the topic is old, I think that others looking for it can find it useful. In my opinion, this the best calendar/appointment widget set. A lot of customizations and flexibility.

[Q] Change Ring toggle icons

Hey guys~
So, I personally don't like the slide toggle in Widgetlocker, so I decided to just get a separate widget that is a button toggle (Silent Toggle) and put it on my lockscreen. Problem is, I don't like the icons >_<
Any way to change the icons? I can't seem to find where the widget was downloaded onto my A2
Also if you have any nice toggle icons, that would be great too
I'm going with a mainly black and white transparent theme and the only icons I could find right now are the ones used it this theme
Thanks^^
If you could also help me with this problem, it would be nice~
Whenever I try to make a shortcut in Launcher Pro for a specific email account that uses the stock email app, the shortcut goes on the homescreen and not the dock. Sometimes it even says that the homescreen has to force close! Any reason for this?
bumpidy bump
Any help appreciated^^

What weather widget is this?

Hello guys,
I'm looking for this Weather Widget, an online friend of mine has a LG Maximo 2x with this widget (see attachment, since I can't publish outside link because I'm a recent user)
This is the animation that opens when she tap the widget on me phone desktop.
She told me this is Accuweather version, but I can't find it . (maybe it isn't accuweather, I only know what she told me).
This app also allows sharing with social networks.
I would really like to find it. Please help me.
:fingers-crossed:
It is accuweather, since it displays RealFeel temperature, which is a trademark of accuweather. However, it is different than the accuweather widget we have for touchwiz. It is probably specific to whatever framework the LG phones use.
Nifty little widget there. Me likie.

This is the Accuweather widget, as stated above, but there is a difference between this widget and the widget that comes pre-installed on your S2. The pre-installed widget takes up half the screen and does virtually nothing if you press it. The widget in your picture is available after you download the "Accuweather for Android" app from Google Play.
After you have installed that app, add the plain Accuweather widget to whatever screen you want (!!!not the Accuweather.COM widget!!!) and you should have a very similar, if not identical, widget to what your friend has.
Keep in mind, though, that the picture you posted will only show up after you press the widget for more details. The actual widget is very small and has no animation.
I have AccuWeather for Android installed and that is definitely NOT the widget from it.
It has two, and neither one is the one in that screenshot. Its got the original dark grey 4x1 widget and a new, rather ugly and seriously battery killing, 4x2 with the weather and a clock.
As said, its probably a custom version done for LG just like Samsung has their own.
Not sure what you expect the stock TW AccuWeather widget to do when you touch it. It opens up the Samsung AccuWeather app just fine for me, just like the one from the Play Store opens its respective app.

Click to collapse
The only one Accuweather for Android that appears on the GooglePlay is that Accuweather.com (wich is ugly, its the black one with no animation at all).
I really can't find that Accueweather for Android.
The imagem attached is the Accuweather for Android.
Hmm
Well I have the GoWeather Ex widget that is pretty similar to that one, maybe you should try that one out buddy.

[Q]Theme Chooser widget

I was wondering if there was a way to setup a widget on my home screen to change to a predefined theme. I find myself always choosing "dark" themes and then I always have trouble seeing my screen in the subject light. It would be nice to be able to have a widget that when pressed would switch to a much brighter theme for when I'm outside. Yes I know I can do it manually. Any help would be great.
