rooting does not increase speed of ur phone.
You need some tweaks. Modding in firmware and system files. You can search in forum for tweaks and it's very easy to setup.
But I don't know what devs've done in system files and firmware. If we know, we can do it ourself.
already a thread for this in General, perhaps we can merge?

I agree, this was a "young" thread and so the tweaks mentioned are not explained thoroughly. Hopefully Doom will get some time to update the "how-to everything" guide that became so pivotal in adjusting 2.1 X10

Here is a awesome tweak..

2.place the phone on that stack.
if you did it right, your phone is now a paper weight.

This is permanent isn't it? I'm using the disable auto brightness app from the market (*cough* Play store) now, but it closes sometime due to not enough RAM.
Also, the file als_curve.conf is not present in System/etc. Is this normal and do I need to add it myself? I'm using the ICS Beta.
Please do give more clarification OP

[MOD][ICS][GB] Smoother Touch Screen

Descriptions :
I modified the software FloatingTouch from Xperia Sola, to maximize the sensitivity of the touchscreen.
Installation via CWM
Download here http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?epi0mtxms8yiegi
After Installation Open Root Explorer. Open build.prop with text editor in the system, and copy this code :
# Set to 1 if floating touch available
ro.floatingtouch.available=1
Please feedback after installation
I think it improves the touch screen a little bit. Before i use this,if i swipe between the home screens,sometimes it will look like it move to the next homescreen,but it will just stay at the same homescreen.i will need to swipe a little bit harder to chnge homescreen. I hope u understand what im saying here.
After i try, i just use a little bit force and the homescreen changes. Its almost as smooth as GB

Just checking, will this work on the latest 4.0.4 rom?
So, since our displays do not have the hardware required for FloatingTouch, thus they cannot make any use of AirTouch Service, what exactly does this mod do?

I flash it with cwm then boot loop
can it work on 4.0.3??
I had flash it on my stock ics 4.0.3 arc s and it's seem smoother... i don't know if it really work but no bootloop...
so far i see have that not so much effect on ICS 4.0.4
Wow its work !!

Actually yes, it is a placebo effect.
The service doesn't even run on our phones, the apk does not even appear installed.
It really doesn't require an expertise to understand that this does not work.
If you want, you could also try adding this line to your build.prop:
Code:
ro.smoothtouch.display=1
The effect should be just about the same.
this is like porting the eXmor R sensor to the good old X10, its a hardware thinggy and no offense, this does nothing to our ARC/S.

[Q] script to remove lag and improve desepeño xperia u

hi all excuse for my bad English I'm using google translator
I met several scripts to improve performance Likewise xperia U try to remove the lag of the terminal and make it more agile.
installing this mod script will remove the lag, constraints, will have a better reaction the terminal you no longer have to worry about using applications such as seeder to remove the lag in the installation package is coming around to the elimination of lag, the scritp always be running so that you can install many applications without lag on themselves this has been tested on my xperia u ics with compilation 6.1.1.B.1.10 not ask if it works on another compilation since he wrote the compilation in which I tested
information script
script that makes?
its function is to reset the ram is to use maximum resources in the Xperia and Timescape Facebook feature that makes it a little slow xperia This script makes the same terminal is in constant flow and you may not worry about using a task killer for the elimination of tasks which consume ram and slows the terminal with this script and not to worry about anything so it should make this script flashing a clean rom not using a different rom because this script and what I do is for stock rom compilation 6.1.1.B.1.10
this script does nothing to the wi-fi or anything of bugs is tested in a clean stock rom
This installation of this package requires a stock rom ics in clean so they do not create problems and notice the changes
installation:
-----> Enter cwm
-----> Wipe cache
-----> Flash. Zip
-----> Wipe cache
-----> Dalvik cache
-----> Reboot
Why says the title [Q], so is this a question/request??
