Hello community , here i present POLARIS OFFICE 5 in base form as provided by Samsung in devices . This app is installed as SYSTEM app..
I managed to gain this after a long hit n trial ..... so ur generous support is heartily welcomed ....
*WHY to install as system app if it can be installed as USER app????
*coz u will get these listed benifits....... n that too with no BUGS , it will be same experience as provided in Samsung's Stock Rom with a lot faster speed
FEATURES :-
1. Best Office suite as per my knowledge ,,,,,,,
2. This runs with .so files support , hence considerably FASTER than any other app or any other version of this app installed as user app .:good::good:
3. Installed as System App . Hence no worries after factory data reset
REQUIREMENTS:-
1. Any android device with any ROM.of JB 4.1.x or higher
2. Should not contain any app or app components from polaris . i.e. there should be no other polaris app even in system.
3. Custom Recovery .(any)
4. 60 MB + space on ur system partition

2. Put the zip in sd card .
3. Reboot to Recovery

Also, there is a grey bar in an open document, stating "device not supported by Polaris Office" -
but as far as I could see, everthing worked - beside saving to external SD ...
I think this is the new "kitkat" feature, not allowing apps to write generally to external SD?!?

no there might be some other issue as samsung devices should be easily supported .... i will look for it whenever i get time ,

Installed as a normal app then libs installed & gave permission. all seems to be working fine. thanks good app !

I flashed in twrp and restarted. I tapped on the icon and got the unfortunately this
this app has stopped message. In the app list in settings it has no data...was trying
to clear. If I find it in system apps and install it manually there it works fine but if I
reboot I have to repeat the process again to use office. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I just don't know how people get it to stick after a reboot. Tried this both on my nexus 7
moto x and same result on both (stock rooted).

I have the same problem. After flashing app has stopped message pops up. Manual installation is working but after reboot problem reappears.
Wiping Dalvik and Cache did not help.

No, you don't need to. You can use the recovery to install the file from any location.
I'd just like to let you know, DSP Manager works out-of-box on stock SE without replacing audio libs.

Thanks. I've managed to flash the new ROM. Get past the boot screen thinking all good until I get this message: "Sorry! The Application HTC_IME mod (process jonasl.img) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Force Close.
I've installed the compatible kernel so not sure what's gone wrong here.
All I can do is power down the device, no access to menus etc
Any advice please?

It's not a question of compatibility, it also gave that error on other phones where I also made the rom (lg optimus dual) I repeat that mistake it to be 'only immediately after the first flash ROM, tested and running perfectly

You will get a FC on first boot with the HTC_IME mod. It's only because there is no data folder associated with it. It will FC and create it's own data

I've rebooted it about 5 times so it's not a first boot issue. I'll try leaving it running for a while, as you mentioned it might create the file structure etc.. will let you know how I get on.

OK, then do a test:
Try to write a message, must operate the keyboard htc after this test, restart the phone and you should not have more problems

Tried that mate, no joy I can't get no apps up, can get into the keyboard settings by holding one of the hard keys then selecting the settings icon.
Should I reflash the kernel perhaps and then reflash the ROM?

What I want to tell my friend, try to flash the kernel first and then flash the rom;-) I recommend you wipe the three usual

yup but outgoing needs to b set once, that is you can receive texts calls and everything on both SIM but outgoing is allowed only from one, which SIM you wanna use u can preset it in settings for calls, texts, data. btw it's beta version wit few issues report your errors here

dont worry just go to>> Settings >> Display >> Font Size and change it accordingly n check if it gets clear display

Display Bug
I tested this ROM on my Archos 50 Platinum (aka Karbonn Titanium S5 aka Cherry Mobile Skyfire 2.0), and I think it was perfect except for one point that makes it unusable. The display is completely degraded at each exit from standby mode, with no alternative but to reboot the device.
The problem is known? Is there a solution?

did u try replacing boot.img from nemisess Rom? unfortunately I too have a same problem. the New batch of phones have problems with the blurry screen on lock.

Hello .. in my V54 the only problem was that in Xposed not work .... had to switch to the V53 for the operation .. make the wips, and try again.:good:

Very strange dude that happens to your device ... on my already instelei several times and all ok, running everything except the Xposed V54, V53 has the Waze, the rest all ok, I apologize and can not help !!
its not possible flash v54 here , i flashed 53(remember to delete lines from META-INF/com/google/android ) and updated to 54 in options (works only on chinese cwm)
i don't have backup from efs folder :confused now my sim works only in the baidu rom

You need to flash another CWM and then flash the BAIDU in time to reboot select Disable Recovery fix, so this stuck in CWM CHINESE):good:

3. Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
4. Wipe Cache Partition.
5. Wipe Dalvik Cache.
6. Install Zip From SDCard And Choose "Baidu Cloud Rom-1.zip".
7. Wait Till It Flash.
8. You'll have one more confirmation to "Disable Recovery fix". Do not ignore and cancel that. Go ahead and Hit Yes, Disable recovery fix. This step will make the CWM stay and will not flash the stock recovery of Baidu Rom over CWM to the device.
9. Reboot And Enjoy.
I m also facing the network issue... When i connect to mobile data whether in 3g or 2g netwoke gets disapper and after some time network comes back bt mobile data is turn off automatic by itself... I tried several vesrions on thi rom bt i faced this same network issue... I went back on stock rom... Any body have the solution for my problm?

How to Install :-
I was on CN firmaware ,, havent tried on ROW !
I have CWM-Chinese recovery
Usual
1. Download the file to SD card
2. Boot in recovery and Backup your thingy :angel:
3. Wipe everything, cache, system, data
4.Install the zip from SD card
5. It may show some error and then a message, Install from SD card complete . Dont bother about error
6. restart your phone and have fun....

Plz mention in title that it is for CN version else many will softbrick there device

hi.. first of all thanks for the rom. I have downloaded and tried to install the same with TWRP 2.7 recovery on my phone the installation goes well with this error "no context menus" while installing but once installed it just doesn't boot , the phone stays backlight lit and nothing on screen.
I am on MIUI -5.1.30. which is working fine.
I have followed every instruction.

were you on ROW version of ROM
if yes then you have to first flash CN based firmware via flashtool
then follow the above process.
what worked for me is i flashed phone using S135 with CWM chinese recovery -->SP flash tools.
Very important that backup everything before you do anything..
Thanks for the heads up....i have flashed the rom fine and it is amazing .
but again i need ur help as once installed the contacts from my google account is no more available in the sync only people details and app data are only available.
Did i do something wrong.

did you signed in play store ? or gmail app ?
if not then give a try it might show up

I had the same problem but didn't manage to solve it, so I moved to a different ROM. If that's solved, then I'll give the ROM another try because it felt really good.

This is what i have done ....to get the rom on to the phone....First i flashed this Chinese rom (P780_S135_130917_rooted_twrp_gapps) and booted the phone fully once and then i flashed the miui rom in this thread on to the above rom from Chinese recovery that came with the S135 rom and it flashed perfectly.Below i am giving u the link to the Chinese rom.

You wont be able to as the china had banned google in china thus they are not available in chinese ROM as well I moved out to ROW version due to this.

So I went ahead and searched for MIUI gapps for android 4.4.2 and found it on miui forums. Flashed it and now i am able to sync my contacts with google. In fact even able to save new contacts to google as well. I have shared these gapps on my google drive here
So anyone who wants to make this ROM a 100% perfect can download it flash it.
Steps are very simple:
Download gapps from the link above and save it on your phone. Internal / External does not matter
Reboot to recovery mode
Install / Flash gapps zip file
Wipe cache and Dalvik
Reboot
Go to settings -> accounts -> all -> google and you will find now you can even sync contacts and calendar with google
Hope this helps anyone who wants to use this ROM along with google sync.
And, most importantly, thank you to the original devs for making this rom.

thats cool. is google search is working ? and email etc
My corporate email did not work with stock email app. So I used mailwise. Haven't tried google search yet. As, first thing i wanna try to do is try to bring back the 8gb internal partition. Coz after after installing this rom, my 8gb phone is now 4gb. Don't want to burden the phone much before i figure this out.

You will have to follow this steps:
- Go to the recovery menu and do a factory reset.
- Search the ROM and install it.
- (This is a very important step for it to work). Go to TWRP recovery and select wipe.
- Then go to Advanced Wipe.
- Once you are there, select System partition and click repair or change file system.
- Some options will come up, and select Resize File System.
- Once you have followed all these steps you can nos install all google apps without problem.
If you still have any issue or problem dont hesitate to comment, and I will try to help you. Thanks!

I am using Xiaomi Redmi 1s (Armani) on Ressurection Remix.
When i am trying to install Mokee Rom (Marshmallow) the gapps (Pico version) fails saying error code 70.
I tried you method too..i get 31 mb left in the system partition after flashing just the mokee rom..Resizing doesn't work...plz help!!

Even i am getting same problem installed Mokee and now cant even install pico gapps. error 70 tried the instructions in the video but no solution please help.

Hi i have installed the latest nightly build of Mokee and Gapps Pico and it worked. Only the issue is batter is draining faster because of media server. downloaded the mediaserver killer app and it worked
Installed nightly today only..have you tried updating via OTA zip file?
Edit: it doesn't work!

installed mokee Marshmallow MK60.1-armani-160726-RELEASE and can't install gapps (redmi 1s 31MB free space)... it seems the developer didn't tested it before release.... Or we don't know how they can install it on their device LOL

Thats what i was thinking too..we have the same device..same fioe to download.. but only few came up with this issue..

I repartitioned System, Cache, Use data..increased system partition..the thing is you have to use twrp 2.8.7.0
