Building from Source:
Requirements:
Linux, (I use Ubuntu, works with other distros, too, but maybe you have to make some changes to the commands)
A working Build Environment, (here is a guide how to set up a Build Environment on Ubuntu)
(needed steps till "Identify Yourself to the Repo")
Create working directory and init repo:
Code:
mkdir ~/Android/Darkkat
(you can use a directory name and path you like, but you have to change the commands to match to your local path)
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat
repo init -u git://github.com/XXMrHyde/android.git -b darkkat-4.4
Sync the repo:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
(now it`s time to drink a big cup of coffee, tea, or ... this can take some time)
Get the needed binaries for the Nexus 7:
Download from Google Developers: Binaries for Nexus 7 [2013] (Mobile) ("razorg")
(all 3 tgz archives)
Extract to the root of your working directory,
Run the scripts:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat
Code:
./<filename>
(Confirm Licensing Agreement)
Build the rom:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && . build/envsetup.sh && brunch deb
(time for the next big cup of coffee, ...)
That`s it,
you (hopefully) compiled successfully your own DarkKat rom
Update the sources:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
(this time it doesn`t take much time)
Now build again,
(if there are a lot of sourcecode changes, or your last build is some times ago you may need to clean your "out" directory):
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && . build/envsetup.sh && make clobber

Darkkat Addon
Included:
Custom installation with Aroma Installer
English and german language
Bootanimations:
AOSP 4(.1/.2)
AOSP 4(.3/.4)
Galaxy Nexus
OmniRom, (old)
CM10(.1/.2)
Fonts:
Ubuntu
Roboto, (Android 4.4)
Roboto, (Android 4.3)
Roboto, (Android 4.2)
Install SuperSu
Additional Apps:
RootBrowser
BoatBrowser
Airdroid
Terminal Emulator
Install backup script:
Bootanimation
Font
SuperSu
Some infos:
General:
If you don`t like you don`t have to use the addon,
but take a look at post #2 "Installation" -> "Without DarkKat Addon"
You only have to flash the addon one time, (if you choose to install the backup scripts),
all your custom changes will be restored after an update.
The Darkkat Addon will work with all Darkkat Builds,
you don`t have to look at the addon date and rom date.
Additional Apps:
Don`t use the addon to update the apps, (this should be done via Play Store)
There is no need to install apps which are already installed.

Awesome... Running smooth as silk.... Thank you!! ☺

Hello..Sweet Rom! Running very smooth! Thanks for your work! Keep on keepin on Man, we need Devs like yourself for our N7 LTEs!!!

Immersive mode
Hi there is immersive mod working in this rom?

On mako and flo, immersive mode is working fine, I don't own the deb, so I can't test it. Enable expanded desktop at Settings -> Interface -> General, and use the quicksettungs tile, (expanded desktop) to enable/disable immersive mode, or use the power menu.
Even if it's called expanded desktop, it uses the new immersive mode function.

You have to resetup the power menu, it will be restored to defaults.
A big thanks to bwells88 for beta testing the deb version, without his help, the deb version,
wouldn`t exist

Still amazing here.... 8). I'm thinking that not many peeps purchased a Deb device... Not a lot of traffic on the LTE thread... ☺

The Darkkat Update to Build 2014.02.20 is available.
Changelog:
20.02.14 (Build 2014.02.20)
Update Android to KVT49L
General(/Settings):
Advanced Power menu:
Disable longclick actions
Fix icon color for silent mode toggle
(on devices without vibrator)
Frameworks, base(/Settings):
Quick settings: Fix 0% battery tile
(after recreating status bar)
Quick settings: Disable networkmode tile support
Status bar: Fix icon overflowing with centre clock
Status bar expanded: Add Quick access ribbons:
Temporally enable/disable Quick access ribbons via checkbox
Completely deactivate Quick access ribbons, (remove all tiles)
Tiles arrangement

Add volume button control:
Wake display on volume button press
Seek music track on volume button press
Settings:
Launch SuperSU from Settings
Apps:
Mms/Sms: Change theme to Holo, (dark), (only available on devices with mms/sms support)
Calculator update
LockClock update
Torch update
DashClock update
Some infos about the update:
Android update to KVT49L:
The update to KVT49L is a very small update,
which was released for the LTE version of the Nexus 7, (deb).
On Nexus 7, (deb) the US-Provider Verizon Wireless is supported know.
The calendar- and keyboard App are updated.
You shouldn`t expect big changes.
As soon as Google will release the KVT49L Kernel sources,
I`ll update the kernel, too.
(maybe the Verizon Wireless support will only work with the updated kernel,
but as I don`t earn a deb, and also don`t live in the US I can`t test it).
Advanced Power menu:
I decided, to deactivate the long click function,
because the reboot function has already a long click action,
(reboot to save mode).
Quick settings:
As the networkmode tile doesn`t work at all,
I removed it (temporary),
(as soon as I succeed to fix the function, (if any),
I`ll ad the networkmode tile again).
Quick access ribbons:
Known bug:
With deactivated Quick settings, the Quick access ribbons won`t be activated again,
by activating the Quick settings, a reboot will solve it.
(I guess I`ll don`t be able to fix it soon, I`m sorry).
SuperSU settings:
Since version 1.85 SuperSu hides it launcher icon,
if the relevant setting is present in the system settings.
You can find the SuperSU settings below developer settings.
(On Nexus 4 the SuperSu launcher icon was present at the app drawer,
as long as I lunched it`s settings from system settings the first time,
On Nexus 7 it wasn`t present).
Mms/Sms: Holo, (dark) Theme:
to justify the word "Dark" in Darkkat,
among dialer and contacts the Mms/Sms app is Holo, (dark) themed, too.
It isn`t planed to theme other system apps, too,
but if someone is interested, I`ll change my opinion,
(ONLY system apps, e.g. Email, Calendar, ...,
NO Gapps, like Play Store, Hangouts, ...,
NO user apps like Airdroid, ...).
if you prefer the light themed app, you can find it inside the curent DarkKat Addon,
to recover the light version after a rom update, you should also install the backup script.

Is it possible that you add sms and ussd code in the next build, and also native OTG support in settings/storage?
Thanks!
The rom is great by the way... =)

I also thought about SMS/MMS support, so I'll take a look at it. But native OTG and USSD, never thought about it, so I have to do a little bit research, I don't know if it'll be included in the next build.

There is always a room for improvement... Thanks!

USB-OTG is working fine on flo:
I guess it`ll be working on deb, too
the files to edit are the same for deb.
So the fix will be included in the next build, if I get a positive feedback from my beta tester or someone else.

For Android 4.4.3/4.4.4 version:
Code:
repo init -u git://github.com/XXMrHyde/android.git -b darkkat-4.4.3
For Android 4.4.2 version:
Code:
repo init -u git://github.com/XXMrHyde/android.git -b darkkat-4.4
Sync the repo:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
(now it`s time to drink a big cup of coffee, tea, or ... this can take some time)
Get the needed binaries for the Nexus 5:
Download from Google Developers:
For 4.4.4:
Nexus 5 (GSM/LTE) binaries for Android 4.4.4 (KTU84P)
For 4.4.3:
Nexus 5 (GSM/LTE) binaries for Android 4.4.3 (KTU84M)
For 4.4.2:
Nexus 5 (GSM/LTE) binaries for Android 4.4.2 (KOT49H)
(all 3 tgz archives)
Extract to the root of your working directory,
Run the scripts:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat
Code:
./<filename>
(Confirm Licensing Agreement)
Get the missing binaries:
Download any deodexed 4.4.X Stock rom,
(X depending on the version you building for)
and extract:
/system/etc/DxHDCP.cfg
/system/vendor/firmware/discretix, (folder)
/system/vendor/lib/libvdmengine.so
/system/vendor/lib/libvdmfumo.so
/system/app/OmaDmclient.apk
/system/app/TimeService.apk
/system/app/shutdownlistener.apk
Copy TimeService.apk and shutdownlistener.apk to
Code:
~/Android/Darkkat/vendor/qcom/hammerhead/proprietary
all others, (and the content of the discretix folder not the folder itself) to:
Code:
~/Android/Darkkat/vendor/lge/hammerhead/proprietary
Open (in a text editor):
Code:
~/Android/Darkkat/vendor/qcom/hammerhead/device-partial.mk
and add these lines:
Code:
vendor/qcom/hammerhead/proprietary/shutdownlistener.apk:system/app/shutdownlistener.apk:qcom \
vendor/qcom/hammerhead/proprietary/TimeService.apk:system/app/TimeService.apk:qcom \
Code:

and add these lines:
Code:

Build the rom:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && . build/envsetup.sh && brunch hammerhead
(time for the next big cup of coffee, ...)
That`s it,
you (hopefully) compiled successfully your own DarkKat rom
Update the sources:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
(this time it doesn`t take much time)
Now build again,
(if there are a lot of sourcecode changes, or your last build is some times ago you may need to clean your "out" directory):
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && . build/envsetup.sh && make clobber
Update the sources from 4.4.3 to 4.4.4:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
Update the needed binaries:
Download any deodexed 4.4.4 Stock rom,
and extract:
/system/app/OmaDmclient.apk

Loaded great and now restoring my apps. Playing around a bit this is a great ROM. This has really nice touches to it. Do you have a kernel suggestion? I will run the one that comes with the ROM for awhile, always do so I have a comparison.
So far I love it and will hang on to this for awhile. Has DD written all over it!!
Again thank you for sharing your work!

Thanks for your feedback,
the hammerhead version was a user request, as I don't own a Nexus 5, I can't tell you a kernel suggestion, maybe someone else will do.

You can't go wrong with Trinity Kernel!
Otherwise, top class ROM. Smoothness, stability and most importantly; it is not bloated with useless tweaks and mods!

Take a look at the installation instructions, I mentioned you have to install SuperSu or SuperUser to get root access.
I didn't noticed any problems with the background on the native launcher, so I have no Idea what went wrong, sorry

I don't want to blame you, just want to make clear it isn't a "bug" of the rom.

Yup, great job man. I flashed Uber Linaro 3/31 nightly kernel, loaded a nice color profile. No oc or uv, I did change from ondemand to wheatly. I like wheatly ever since the og evo & the Mason kernel. Anyways, I'm blabbering. Thanks again pal, gonna go set all up!

We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone as a result of installing custom roms and/or kernels. you do so at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself.
AllianceROM intends to give the user what THEY want. Tired of flashing Roms and having to ask for little changes to suit your taste? Tired of having to manually change colors of the toggles or the battery or move your clock or make statusbar transparent or any of the other multitude of other little color and style tweaks that Android users love? Tired of flashing AROMA installer for every little change you want to make? Tired of having to add your favourite images everytime a new rom comes out?
If you answer yes to any of these then AllianceROM is for you! We have a huge array of "on the fly" options for you to play with. Make your phone to YOUR style. YOUR color. YOUR perfection.
Available in both Stock and Black Glass, Aosp theme(coming soon) selectable on install, the majority of modifications in AllianceROM are OPTIONAL. You can turn them on and off at will. Awesome work! Gonna try it out soon. Any chance this ROM will have ext4 sdcard support? I've been trying to make a mod of my own for it, but it's not going very well (I can get it to mount on boot, but not all apps behave well with it). If you're planning on doing it, I'll just wait. Let me know! And thanks again!

I'm not sure I understand. The stock kernel certainly has support for the ext4 filesystem, but stock vold will detect the card as unformatted and will not mount it. I tried making an init.d script to do the mounting, but certain apps don't play nicely with it (some apps can't see the sdcard, others can't read from it, or can write but can't read -- that was the weirdest one).
Edit: "can write but can't read" used to say the opposite.

Probably best not to, alliance rom has some extensive mods. I wouldnt want anything going wrong with a badass rom like this.

It would probably work for the most part, but I would bet you're going to have a bad time with at least one thing not working if you try. Of course, it might just not boot at all.

Lock screen clock
If there are notifications and the weather panel is
shown, the clock will possibly be placed on top of the status bar
(related to the number of notifications and the screen size).
I didn`t decided how to handle this bug,
maybe hide the weather panel if there are a (configurable) number of notifications,
or only display a (configurable) number of notifications on the lock screen.

Requirements:
A fast desktop CPU, (or a very fast mobile CPU, better use a PC)
Enough RAM, (8 - 16 GB)
A up to date Linux, (I use Ubuntu 14.04, works with other distros, too, but maybe you have to make some changes to the commands)
A working Build Environment, (here is a guide how to set up a Build Environment on Ubuntu)
(needed steps till "Identify Yourself to the Repo")
Of course it`ll work on slow hardware, too,
but it takes a lot more time.
Create working directory and init repo:
Code:
mkdir ~/Android/Darkkat
(you can use any directory name and path you like, but you have to change the commands to match to your local path)
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat
Code:
repo init -u git://github.com/XXMrHyde/android.git -b darkkat-5.1
Sync the repo:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
(now it`s time to drink a big cup of coffee, tea, or ... this can take some time)
Setting up ccache, (optional):
I recommend to use ccache,
if you have enough free space on your SSD/HDD, (about 50 GB).
Using ccache will speed up the building times,
(first build will take longer, because the cchache will be created).
For me, (clean build)
first build/without ccache:
about 50 - 60 minutes
following builds, with ccache:
about 13 - 20 minutes
Code:
gedit .bashrc
and add this line to the bottom:
Code:
export USE_CCACHE=1
the default ccache directory is located at the root of your home directory,
if you like a different location add this line, too;
Code:
export CCACHE_DIR=<path-to-your-cache-directory>
Now run the following command:
Code:
~/Android/Darkkat/prebuilts/misc/linux-x86/ccache/ccache -M 50G
Build the rom:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && . build/envsetup.sh && brunch shamu
(time for the next big cup of coffee, ...)
That`s it,
you (hopefully) compiled successfully your own DarkKat rom
Update the sources:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
(this time it doesn`t take much time)
Now build again,
(if there are a lot of sourcecode changes, or your last build is some times ago you may need to clean your "out" directory):
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && . build/envsetup.sh && make clobber
Thanks for sharing. CM theme engine coming and are there Nav bar options such as long press? I read through and didn't see but figured I asked. Eyes aren't that great either.

Does this rom has layer support , did not read that in changes , but i'm asking
No, I have to take a deeper look into it,
but I guess like CMs theme engine,
most of the color customizations of this rom
will break its function,
so I had to rewrite almost all of the included customizations,
I tried it 2 times, with CM10.2 and CM11,
and i`ll never try it again.
Edit:
But if the Layer is a compete
different function, and can be
easy included, ...
time will tell
downloading this now thanks

Thanks for the rom @XXMrHyde! Does this force encryption? I didn't see it stated in the OP.
EDIT: This has the CM sound bug where the notification sound volume drops way low. Just a FYI.
EDIT2: It's a beautiful looking and smooth rom though.
No, forced encryption is disabled, I'll add it to the changes.

Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
For me, (clean build)
first build/without ccache:
about 45 - 55 minutes
following builds, with ccache:
about 10 - 17 minutes
Code:
gedit .bashrc
and add this line to the bottom:
Code:
export USE_CCACHE=1
the default ccache directory is located at the root of your home directory,
if you like a different location add this line, too;
Code:
export CCACHE_DIR=<path-to-your-cache-directory>
Now run the following command:
Code:
~/Android/Darkkat/prebuilts/misc/linux-x86/ccache/ccache -M 50G
Build the rom:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && . build/envsetup.sh && brunch hammerhead
(time for the next big cup of coffee, ...)
That`s it,
you (hopefully) compiled successfully your own DarkKat rom
Update the sources:
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && repo sync
(this time it doesn`t take much time)
Now build again,
(if there are a lot of sourcecode changes, or your last build is some times ago you may need to clean your "out" directory):
Code:
cd ~/Android/Darkkat && . build/envsetup.sh && make clobber

He is a Dark Knight ...
Does this rom has Vanir's navbar customization and Slimpie and new CM12 themes engine?
Soft Home Button Not work
Just clean flash this rom, no restore for data etc. Soft Home Button Not work. Flashing as instruction, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache > flash along with pa_gapps and super Su 2.45.
The rest is very cool....

There is a reason why I wrote a detailed feature list at post #1, read it, if you can't find a special feature, it ISN'T included!

Thanks,
but clock and date is working fine for me, just checked it (again), or what do you mean with "restore for date etc"?
Never had any problems with the home button, it's working fine, too.

Thanks for the dark Image.

OK, I understand.
The very small issue will be fixed in the next build.
Very strange, your home button bug, as mentioned, I never had any problems, and I didn't touched any soft button related.

Just to share ... it's probably incidentally, first flash I used TWRP-2.8.4.0. and 2nd flash I used CWM-6.0.4.7-touch.
I never used CWM on the N5

It is better i think to provide "patch" mod only. And user does not need to reflash whole rom for update.
I used my Hammerhead as business machine. Reflashing rom to frequent is not great idea.

Development [MOD] RENOVATE ICE 7.0 - raven & oriole

View attachment 5512323
First off hi to everyone on the Pixel forums. I have been around quite some time. Firstly HTC, then Samsung, OnePlus and now Google .
Hopefully my work will be as popular and appreciated here as it was on previous devices.

RENOVATE ICE is a magisk module consisting of modified system framework/apps and an app to enable or disable these new features. Everything by default, is exactly as you would find it on the stock Pixel OS. You need to enable the extra features through the app. The app is available on the playstore but without the corresponding magisk module it will simply do nothing.
One of my main focuses when developing these mods is to make sure everything works instantly, there are no reboots/SystemUI restarts required for anything to take effect.
As it contains modified system files, it needs to be updated every time Google releases a new update. To make sure this causes no issues, I have put a check in the installer so it will only install on the correct base system.
Features controllable through the app (will update as I add more) :
Statusbar:
- Option to put device to sleep when double-tapping statusbar.
- Option to set the maximum number of notification icons in the statusbar.
- Option for statusbar brightness control
- Option for statusbar clock positions (left/right/hidden).
- Option to show seconds in statusbar clock.

- Option to set color of statusbar icons.
- Option to set the dark color of statusbar icons when on a light background.
- Option to set each statusbar icon color individually (premium only)
Notifications:
- Option to force expand all notifications
- Option for silent notifications whilst screen is on
- Option for notification text and icon color
- Option to set notification text and icon color to system accent (premium only)
Quicksettings:
- Option to show brightness slider in quick quicksettings
- Option to set the brightness slider position (default/below quicksetting/hidden)
- Option to enable vibration when clicking on quicksetting tiles
- Option to hide build number in quicksettings footer
- Option for quick pulldown (go straight to fully expanded quicksettings).
- Option for smart pulldown (go straight to fully expanded quicksettings if no notifications).
- Option to select different quicksettings icon style (stock, icon with background, icon with no background)

- Option to set the width of quicksetting tile outline
- Option to set the corner radius of quicksetting tile outline

- Option to automatically turn off the flashlight when turning screen on.
Miscellaneous:
- Option to allow 180 degree rotation (upside down).
- Option to allow screenshots in secure apps.
The app as a whole is free. There are certain tweaks that either require to be a "premium" user or have a subscription. "Premium" status is gained with a one off payment, subscription is as it sounds a small reoccurring monthly fee. Everything is explained in the app, any questions please feel fee to contact me.
Certain parts of the system I may modify and it not require the user to enable/disable anything in the app. Those features are the following:
- Modified SettingsGoogle.apk to allow system apps to be disabled.
- Added back seperate WiFi/Mobile data toggles as well as the new internet tile
- Added back NFC tile
As with previous devices I am open to suggestions and ideas as long as they are in reason. I can't guarantee I can/will include everything requested but I will take a look.
Hopefully we can get a nice collection of tweaks/extra features going .
RENOVATE ICE 7.0 - 11th July
RiCE 3.3.6 APK - 11th July
Current version is compatible with the following builds:
SQ3A.220705.003
SQ3A.220705.001.B1
SQ3A.220705.003.A1
Just a FYI - I have "downgraded" the bundled app in the module to match the version that is currently in the playstore. This will allow you purchase premium or subscribe. The app will be an old version and will give you the "unsupported device" message, but you can then simply update the app from the link above.
Uninstall current module and reboot
Uninstall the RiCE apk if it has stayed behind for whatever reason.
Re-install the new module.
Open RiCE app, ignore "device not supported" message and purchase premium/subscribe.
Install new apk from link below - you will now be on newest app with all the features.
This is only required until the app update is live in playstore.
-Rebased to July base
-Added back NFC tile
-Skip checking SystemUI Privacy observer permission as this can cause a fatal bootloop on rare occasions
6.0
-Rebased to June base
-Added new QS Icon style (icons with no background)
-Option to set QS tile corner radius individually for both Active and Inactive states
-Option to set QS tile outline color individually for both Active and Inactive states
-Option to show QS tile labels in quick quicksettings view
-Option to show QS tile secondary labels in quick quicksettings view
-Added transition animation to QS tile outline
-Added transition animation to QS tile secondary label when expanding for quick quicksettings
5.0
- Updated to May builds
- Added option for notification text/icon colors
- Added option for statusbar brightness control
- Custom quicksetting column count now applies in the customizer screen
- Disable quicksettings on lockscreen tweak now applies when pulling down from the screen rather than the statusbar
- Disable quicksettings on lockscreen tweak now allows quicksetting pulldown, but the tiles are not clickable
- Blocking access to power menu on lockscreen tweak now hides the power button in the quicksettings footer
- Blocking access to power menu on lockscreen tweak now applies when using power + vol up key for power menu
- Fixed the chance hidden clock could show again after hiding statusbar icons
4.1
-Improved some monet coloring
-Fixed glitches with brightness slider after changing positions
-Added labels back to square or circle style quicksettings. These are now fully pre Android 12 style!
-Other minor code fixes and cleanups
4.0
- Updated to April builds
- Added option to hide statusbar icons
- If using right hand side clock receiving a heads up notification will no longer hide the clock
- Apply max notifications tweak to AOD notification count
- Hiding battery icon will not hide percentage text. This can be removed separately.
3.0
- Updated to February builds
-Added initial support for the Android 12L beta. As apktool hasn't been updated to support Android 12L yet, the 12L features are minimal. Please don't report things not working as I am already aware of it. I wasn't going to include support until everything had been ported but I thought as I have already done bits, why not share it.
- Option to select different quicksettings icon style (stock, circle with no label, square with no label)
The circle and square styles I have tried to get looking as close to "pre Android 12" as possible. I am still looking at bringing back the label but it is a big change.
- Option to set number of quicksetting columns
- Option to set number of quicksetting rows
- Option to set number of quick quicksetting rows
Depending on which style you choose, I set defaults and different maximum/minimum values. For example stock style tiles I don't allow more than 4 columns as things start to look ugly.
- Option to enable outline on quicksetting tiles
- Option to set the width of quicksetting tile outline
- Option to set the corner radius of quicksetting tile outline (stock style or square only)
- Option to set the color of quicksetting tile outline
- Option to link quicksettings outline color to system accent colour (premium only)
-Fixed RiCE app not detecting license and ROM version on fresh app install
All the quicksettings tile tweaks work without requiring a reboot as it is all controlled in code, not just resource overlaying.
2.2
- Added option to disable hide the build number in the quicksettings footer
- Added option to set the brightness slider position (default/below quicksetting/hidden)
- Added option to show the brightness slider in the quick quicksettings panel
- Removed bits of left over debugging
2.1
- Added option to disable the two-lined clock on lockscreen/AOD (Android 12L feature)
2.0
- Updated to January sq1d.220105.007 base
1.0
- Initial release.

thanks for your work & nice to see you again
Looking forward to this on future builds. Unfortunately, cannot try it since I'm on a different build (the one for us carriers...ends in .017).

Thank you. Right now I'm on ProtonAOSP with bku_spark. I'll flash .017 and grab the test version on the chat on the weekend. Again, thanks for the heads up.
Awesome, thank you for your work. Would it be possible to add double tap to sleep on the lockscreen?
Very cool to see Rice on the P6!
Please can you add customizable navbar? Would like to have this mod mainly to kill foreground app with longpress back button and longpress home button to open the menu.
noob question : will this work on smaller P6 non pro ?
thank you !

Yes of course, that is the latest firmware. Or wait until after RiCE has been updated for the January one - and stay in the group to get faster access/answers
Whoaa the legend himself!
Welcome to the Pixel life wilky. Do you remember how we had to repack every kernel with our own ramdisk on the HTC One X for RenovateROM? Ahh the days before Magisk was ever a thing.
A decade has flown by so quick my friend. Hope you enjoy your stay in the Pixel world.
January update just dropped (12.0.0 (SQ1D.220105.007, Jan 2022)
Thanks for this! Flashing the stock Jan image now. Hopefully you can update to be compatible with January.
Looking forward to trying this!
Jan test build is working well on the new January update.
I was just talking to my brother about how one of the things I missed most about OnePlus was RICE. Scrolling through threads and I stumble on this. Super excited! Thank you!
