Finally more kernel development I cannot wait to test run this in the morning

Had a freeze on first boot and wouldn't reboot on longpress power had to ADB reboot but running fine now. Using badass and min 384 max 1512 with kcontrol. S2W S2S works flawlessly. Thanks for this and all the DNA love you're spreading around lately. Great job.

Strange about the freeze, hadn't seen that yet.
Glad it's working fine after that initial reboot though.

You flashed the kernel in the OP?
Are you S-off?
Is it enabled in Trickster?
It should be by default after flashing the kernel.
Does it show that the kernel version has changed in settings info?
No reason it shouldn't be working.

You need to fastboot flash the Boot.Img from the zip in the OP then, since you are S-on.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
You are still running the kernel that is packaged into the rom.

bingo, now why didnt that click in my mind... thanks a lot brother!!

Santo, I think you should add a block of info in the OP about what specific roms this kernel will work for. Obviously everyone know it'll work with hours but I know there are a lot of testy people out there that might be braving other people's roms as well lol

Flashed over a build I'm working on. Works great. Thanks.

Bit buggy though. Check with kernel tuner app, CPU 0 defaults to "off" and changing governor with cm's performance settings only changes cpu0's governor.
As a work around I set both CPU's governor and min/max with kernel tuner.

Actually Diablo is my kernel I use for compiling ROMs. If you want a flashable version of my kernel it is called UBER. Uber is more geared for flashing (it has more modules and some optimizations and such) and Diablo is meant to be build inside a ROM. If you want to checkout out my UBER nightlies the link is here http://goo.im/devs/Cl3Kener/HAMMERHEAD/KERNELS/UBER
Exp-linaro is made with a Linaro 4.8.3 toolchain. The more stable versions are made with Linaro 4.7.4. I'll be making a kernel OP very soon you can post some feedback on the kernel.

Did you edit the sysinit and install-recovery files? It supports init.d you still have to enable it.
@friedrich420:
Could you please make a kernel for G900H(Exynos) variant?
If possible try to add boeffla or faux audio driver.
I have already boosted the audio but I want more.
Thank you!

Ill give it a shot my man..
About other features, ill add as we go... I wanna keep it like this for a while to maintain its stability and smoothness as much as possible... Sometimes less is more with kernels
I have a request from the people who flashed it... Screenshots with battery stats
Thank you very much for making the first kernel to allow SElinux permissive support. Would have been a rather boring car journey yesterday without this!
@friedrich420
Great kernel, will test it and report back.
As suggestion, double tap to wake would be nice on this phone
Looking forward to lots of improvements!

Dt2w would be alot of work, should port the corresponding files from LG kernel sources to Samsung's to implement it. But, that'll be a good addition.

Why LG Kernel?
In the HTC One M7 section, n3ocort3x and tbalden developed this feature doubletap2wake like flick2wake and pick2wake for themselves.
This happened before any manufacturer implemtented this as feature in stock kernel versions.
Of course it takes some work, but everyone can look into their source on github.

Yeah I know, alot have it already, I even have it too: Link for my Mako, what I'm trying to say is, some devices have their own touch drivers in drivers/input. Every device differs from that, so It'll take time to implement it, I might take a look into it once I have my S5, but as I said it'll take time.
@friedrich420 Sorry for the OT, lets move a long now...

Just joking
I think you're right about the mpdecision/intelliplug option. I read that in the illusion thread, but I'm not using illusion, so I spaced it. Thank you for your help(ran outta thanks today).
I'll purchase FAUX tomorrow.

Aero Kernel is a kernel for the Nexus 6. I am aiming for stability, smoothness, and slimness, while retaining a few select features I can't do without. I try to keep a stock-like source, and mostly just cherry-pick in features and fixes from the great developers of XDA that I deem necessary over stock. I will be maintaining 3 branches: Stable built by Uber Toolchains, Beta Built by Uber Toolchains, and Stable built by Uber Linaro Toolchains. To find the differences, please do your own research of the two, but the only major difference is the toolchain that the kernel is compiled with, the different versions have all the same features. Some just find one or the other better so I provide you with both options. Special thanks to @The Flash for his upstream source I used and his help. Also thanks to all the other amazing devs from which I cherry-picked from. Note that this is not in any way affiliated with any kernel control app (there is an "Aero Kernel Control", I have no affiliation with it or the respective dev whatsoever.)
Disclaimer:
I am not liable nor responsible for unusable and/or broken devices due to flashing my kernel. You are fully responsible for what you install on your device, including my kernel.
Features:

Its not implemented yet, i had lots of errors when i put it in . Once i get it working it will first be in a beta, then stable. And msm sleeper defaults at 4 cores during suspend, i can change this but it can easily be changed via kernel auditor mod or any kernel control app.

That's cool, this is a really good kernel. Best I've used so far. I've only used my phone for little over 30 minutes, but it has really good stand by time. Also been the only kernel I haven't had any freezes or lockups or any random reboots. Keep up the good work and thanks.

Ironactive is just interactive with the upstream CAF patches, which most kernels add anyways because they improve the governor quite a bit. No point to have two governors that do the same thing lol.

Whatever suits you. Flash is correct, it is essentially interactive, but slightly improved in my opinion. You can look over the C code and decide for your self. I just want to throw out the option of using it.
Looking forward to trying this kernel, but need to wait for the wifi tether fix. Thanks for giving us yet another option for our mighty whale!
