[Q] Notification Overflow Auto Mute App? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I often get alot of events in a row leading to my phone just constantly making noise at times. The ideal solution would be an app to silence notifications for a set time (1 minute) after the first notification sound plays.
I've found all kinds of scheduled notification muting programs but none that prevent notification overflow. This would really help me, thank you.

[Q] An app for locking alarm volume

I have Any.Do and whenever i usually set task reminders on Any.Do, now the problem is when the time for the reminders to ring comes, the volume is either too low or none at all. My question: is there an app that will make sure that such alarms/notifications/reminders ALWAYS ring at MAX volume.
Cheers

Bug on the Do Not Disturb mode with Whatsapp incoming calls?

Hi everyone,
Nice to meet everyone here in the Honor 9 section, and in the whole forum, one of the best place ever
Btw, I've noticed this, when setting the Do Not Disturb mode, or setting some rules that switches it on or off, made the phone almost mute, except for alarms. And Whatsapp calls I mean neither whatsapp messages or anything else make the phone ring, but whatsapp incoming calls just override it. How this is even possible?
Then I've tried to set silent mode and tried to receive a Whatsapp call, and it keep it silent.
Is this a bug in the DND mode?
Thanks everyone for your replies
First time you enable DnD, it tells you it will filter only the notification without 'high priority' status and will show you a moon in status bar.
Seeing your post, i deduce whatsapp's incoming call notifications have this high priority status...
It's not so much do not disturb so...

Hi Oslo83,
Thanks for your quick replying.
Anyway my settings was Allarms only, so it shouldn't be ringing the same, right?
Btw, where I can find the notifications high priority status settings? I'm struggling to find it
EDIT:
Found it: when you select Allow only priority interruption, then the define priority setting voice become selectable.
Now I've set no calls, no sms, but I've no way to try it right now. I'll try it down, as soon as I can and then I'll write here if it works or not
EDIT 2:
Today I had the opportunity to try.
With no calls and no sms allowed, if I receive a Whatsapp call, the phone just vibrate. It won't ring but still vibrates, so it still override it, in some way. I'll post here if I find a solution.

Viber in call beeping sound

Hey guys,
Some of you might experience this issue, while you're in a Viber call you keep hearing notification sound every second.
That's due to the Viber call notification which is present in the notification panel.
It seems EMUI is treating every change in that notification (time elapsed for example) as a new notification...
I used Autonotification app to hide that notification (I couldn't do it any other way, I tried everything) and that did the trick.
Now I can use Viber for calls again.
Viber in call constant beeping
Hi,
What did you do in autonotification to stop the beeping? The sound is driving me crazy

Unknown audible notifications

Throughout the day my phone gives audible notifications, with my default "Notification sound" tone in settings. When I check the phone, there are no new notifications in the notification panel. How can I track down these phantom audible notifications?

I've been experiencing this too.
I thought I had eliminated the source. I had recently installed AutomateIt, which I have used on my various Android devices for years now. It executes scripts to control and change settings. I had disabled scripts that turn wifi off and on when GPS detects I've left/entered my home location. This script seems to have regularly notified me all day while I was home.
Disabling those scripts definitely reduced the audio notifications. But, like you, I have some unexplained audio alerts without corresponding text notifications.
I think my issue was having "notification reminders" on. Since turning it off, I haven't had the issue.
I turned off notification reminders right after you posted your message. And I haven't had a phantom sound since. So thanks!

Question Notifications don't work when ringtone is set to silent vibrate

I just upgraded from an S10 Plus. I have my audio settings set exactly the same. When using Google Maps to navigate I have it set to alert only. On the S10 while driving the music would drop in volume, I would get the alert tone and she would say "speed trap ahead" along with the pop-up on the screen asking if the speed trap is still there. On the S23 I only get the pop-up on the screen, no audio notification and the music volume stays constant. Is this a known bug? I would also get notification tones for messages as well, nothing on the S23. If I set it to be completely un-muted the turn by turn directions come through as expected but I have not yet driven through an area where an alert notification would come through while un-muted.
That sounds like a bug because I have a macro set to run everytime I connect to my car to turn down notification volume to 0 so it doesn't mute audio for notifications but calls still ring for me just fine.
