I don't think so, since it works on ICS, which is a higher OS than what you have now.

Thank you so much.. Before i root this phone,my phone is always laggy. So i hope after rooting my phone it can be fixed.. Any advice anyone so the 'laggy' issue can be fixed?

Once you've rooted your phone, you can...
01. Remove bloatware (unnecessary apps that come with the firmware)
02. Use scripts to make the best out of your RAM
03. This: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2233001
You might also like to unlock your bootloader to allow the installation of custom kernels. This voids your warranty, though. Good luck, fellow Gingerbread user!

Its your wish, if you want to install custom kernels then only you need to unlock the bootloader.
And boaltware are those system apps that you don't need but can't uninstall and they take up RAM and internal storage for no reason.

You can unlock the bootloader before or after root. If you'd ask me, I'd just unlock it and install a custom kernel, as most kernels come pre-rooted.
As for the bloatware, here's a list of them (not all are in this list, and you might not want to delete all of the mentioned):

You should rather post on the thread about adreno200. People there can help you better...:good:
Also unlocking bootloader allows you to install custom kernels on your devices and hence custom roms varying from gingerbread to kitkat...
I have used over 15-20 roms on my phone(xperia mini) and if you want a fast phone, my personal advice to you is either stay on gingerbread or migrate to kitkat.
Rest is all up to you... Its your phone use it and/or experiment with it as you want!
Hit thanks if i helped!

And yes I forgot to tell you one thing, custom kernels also supports overclocking your device that is you can run your processor at even upto 1.8Ghz rather than stock 1Ghz. This though would consume more battery but it would reduce lag.
Note that overclocking limit depends on kernel.
Hit thanks if I helped!

You don't really need to backup your data, rooting doesn't delete anything from your phone. Okay, let's make it simple - step-by-step. I'll post links after the procedure.
01. Root or unlock bootloader (I prefer unlocking the bootloader)
02. If you rooted, install CWM (ClockWorkMod) Recovery; if you unlocked the bootloader, flash a custom kernel (recovery is flashed along with it)
03. [Optional] Remove bloatware
04. Download the files from the "Adreno Booster" and "Disable CPU Rendering" threads (they are in .zip format) and copy them onto your SD card
05. Enter CWM, then choose Install ZIP from SD card (use hardware keys; vol. up = scroll up, vol. down = scroll down, home = select, back = back)
06. Reboot through CWM
07. After booting, reboot again (for Adreno Booster to take effect)
P.S Is adeno 200 can make phone more faster? and how?

Adreno 200 is a GPU, and your ST15i has an Adreno 205. What you want to install is a mod that improves its performance.

[ROM] MiN-08 | Clipped Stock Eclair 2.1.1.C.0.0 | 6/10/11
MiN is a clipped stock rom, based on the latest official build by Sony Ericsson, 2.1.1.C.0.0 Eclair for SE Xperia X10 Mini.
For SE Xperia X10 Mini Pro, take a look a similar project called 2.1.1.Clean.0.0 by pfonck.
For the uncut version of MiN you can go to Stock 2.1.1.C.0.0 w/ Root.
The main purpose is to be light, fast and stable. Thus, added just few things but removed much more; so you can add whatever you want. All apps are free and can be found in the market; there's no warez, adware or commercial software.
Since I'm not a developer, probably I won't be able to solve your problems about it. When I read pfonck's post I decided to take a shot and followed his steps. After a few tries, the last one seemed quite nice; I've tested it for a while, and then decided to share.
Trying this rom is totally on your own responsibility. If you proceed, please backup all your data and files.
Still, feel free to contribute and please share your ideas & experiences.

and you may need to create a patch for multiboot...
but i'm not sure since it's a tweaked stock rom and stock doesn't need some ^^
see the multiboot thread for it
edit : I saw you messed it up ...
maybe people can use it as the main ROM, then install CWM and multiboot some custom rom ... can't they ?

Why not just wait until port of CM7.1 is complete & MiniCM is bug-free & simply use stock rom only? stock rom is freaking awesome & fast & stable

14mb in total!! if you have additional info about them, i'd like to hear it.
e.g. youtube. i think we can't install it afterwards, right?
maps. it's huge and it needs updating immediately. i'd be great if we can get rid of its old version. but i don't know if we can install it later. i want it to work completely as a google map user.
or updaters, do their main programs work after removing them?
in short, after removing an apk above, what happens; if you know of course
Every apk you remove from system/app starts working again when you put it back no problem. Some apk's rely on a service provider app, that's the only tricky part.
It's funny you mention the YouTube app, because in my thread somebody wanted it back. I just installed the removed apk from sdcard (it gets placed in data/app) and it worked perfectly again.
If you can delete it on Mini Pro, you can delete it on the Mini. Had no complaints of people missing stuff yet, most people only use the basic functions of the phone anyway.
Did I research every apk I removed? Definately not but there's dozens of threads on what's safe to remove and I just used those as a guide, judging by how I used the phone myself.
pay attention to these:
Don't remove the following:
* Google talk stuffs, market will fc or something when I try to install anything.
* Omadatasyncservice (15-feb new mail counter in gmail gets screwy always increase).
* Setupwizard (21-feb, u need this for adding new gmail account)

Nice work!
Extract the files, run the exe file, connect the phone to computer with usb debugging on and select the options in command prompt.
And one thing, after the reboot, I checked system/app, and found that some of the apk files were not removed. This has to do with the naming of apk filenames, some of which have capital letters in between. For example, SemcPowerSaver.apk and SemcPowersaver.apk...

4 of these apps not exist sola though,
/system/app/FBSetupWizard.apk' does not exist because it's called /system/app/FBSetupwizard.apk
/system/app/neoreader.apk - I don't have this one.
/system/app/POBoxSknselector.apk - POBoxSknSelector.apk
/system/app/SemcPowersaver.apk - /system/app/SemcPowerSaveModule.apk
/system/app/Storefront.apk - not exist in my /app folder
I think that list is a little small. In Xperia 2011 forum (eg. Arc, Neo) I saw more advance remover take a look at it.

[ROM] [JB] SlimBean v1.3+

DISCLAIMER - IF YOU GET EATEN BY A SHARK AFTER FLASHING MY ROM IT'S NOT MY FAULT. BUT IF YOUR PHONE GOES CRAZY AND ATTACKS YOU AFTER INSTALLING MY ROM THAT'S ALSO NOT MY FAULT. IF HOWEVER, YOUR PHONE BECOMES A USELESS PAPERWEIGHT AFTER INSTALLING MY ROM, THEN YES YOU'VE GUESSED IT... NOT MY FAULT!
Not sure if anyone is interested but I have created a VERY lightweight version of JB 6.2.A.0.400 for Xperia GO. I basically took the original Sony ftf file and extracted the system elements. I then removed ALL of the bloatware (and I mean ALL, plus a few apps I probably shouldn't like chrome, gmail, google talk etc etc) and added ROOT (superuser).
Introducing SlimBean v1.3+
Included features/apps:
Stock-based
Pre-rooted
Totally de-bloated (probably too much for some people)
SD remount fix implemented
Pwng3's Phantom kernel (v1.8 power saver)
JDWalker's 'tweaked' build.prop file (v1.8 for XGO)
Ad-free hosts file
Custom charging animation
ESFileExplorer, Antutu benchmark & No-frills CPU control
PLEASE NOTE- Bravia 2 engine and 'Whitemagic' brightness are NOT incLuded. I see them as unnecessary and add little value. If you want to add them yourselves then follow instructions in relevant posts in the forum.

This is a very smooth, battery-friendly system...
I am currently using this with no-frills CPU set to 800mhz max, 200mhz min, interactive governor and CFQ scheduler.
THIS IS THE EXACT FIRMWARE I AM RUNNING ON MY PHONE (XPERIA GO ST27i) WITH UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER. I CANNOT SAY IF THIS WILL WORK ON PHONES WITH LOCKED BOOTLOADERS
Prerequisites:
Sony Xperia GO (ST27i)
CWM recovery or similar for flashing of zip file
Unlocked bootloader
Instructions to flash:
Copy zip file to SD card
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Format cache, data, system
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash zip file
Once "Flashed Successfully" appears on your screen the update is complete.
I would advise you hard reset your phone (vol up + power button) until you feel 3 vibrations.
From here I would then flash Pwng3's phantom kernel using fastboot (fastboot.exe flash boot kernel.elf)
Initial 2 boots following the flash may seem to take a while but subsequent boots are fine after that.
Credits:
JDWalker for his superb build.prop tweaks/file
Pwng3 for the excellent phantom kernel
Sony for original files
I am not pretending to be a guru when it comes to roms. Nor am I trying to rip anyone off with this. I simply wanted a stock-based firmware with everything that I never use removed, build.prop tweaks implemented, ad-free and root added. This is the result of that and I thought I would make it available to anyone who wants to try it

I was planning on trying that today. I'll post back tomorrow if I manage to get anywhere.
The reason I chose no-frills CPU control over anything else is because I found that the JB system always seems to set the cpu max frequency back to stock after a few hours of use (this is also the case in Pandemic's cpusettings). However, in no-frills>settings you can tick the box to 'prevent changes from other apps' and this stops the problem

Also, I have no intention of asking for any donations as I did this purely for myself as I knew exactly what I wanted in a rom and this is the result.

I will help those that need support to the best of my knowledge
I will NOT take any ownership if your mobile smacks you in the face or you suffer data loss
You can use my works with or without credit - just hit the thanks button
.: HISTORY :.
Wanted to share my works with the community and give something back
Lots of crashing, rebooting and failed installs to reach a stable working ROM
Using a MAC made the work even harder to compile, but well worth it!!!
The attached zip file is for members that already have the .207 Rom installed and wish to update to v2
Update .207 Rom to v2 - Place the below file on your SDCard and flash from recovery
Full details of .207 v2 and the changes can be found here
.: Reserved for Updates :.
REMOVED Language Dictionaries and pico TTS files:
Place these file into the same folders in ROM - this is not a flashable zip
http://www.mediafire.com/download/g3tja1xc73keuaj/system.zip
For those that require extra battery saving with Auto switching 2G/3G/4G that is stable:
First please visit this link and install the xposed framework
To avoid issues follow the instructions and then install the Intelli3G App from the google play store here
Now open the xposed framework app and enable the new Intelli3G module, reboot and then open Intelli3G App and enjoy...
Tested working on rooted .207 stock rom, only issue I have seen is the auto switch to turn 3G/4G back on has a little niggle when you combine certain settings
I have managed to attain 6 days between charges set on 2G and only using 3G and wifi when needed on auto switch mode.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK - Be aware for removal please follow the developers instructions and always have a backup before making any changes
For those that require an Advanced Reboot Menu:
Extended Reboot Menu with recovery and advanced boot options here
(This mod requires the exposed framework as mentioned above, same installation method applies, use at your own risk and always backup first)
For those that require a simple Reboot Menu - with Power Menu features: Already included in .207 v2
Please visit this link and install the ODEX_Shutdown.Reboot_1.205.zip
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2672564
Features: Simple Submenu with two options - "Reboot" & "Shutdown" by Pressing "Power off" button
For those that require complete Gapps
Download this to reinstate google sync and everything to get Gapps fully working
Select 4.3 jelly bean version from here
Current releases include:
.207 v3 Final Release with all tweaks to date plus MPDecision - google sync with updates to popular apps
.207 v2 Improved Battery and Deep Sleep mode
.207 v2 Removed 40MB of more Bloatware (see here for removed items)

Maybe I should rephrase that.... and not have quoted RAM
the Xperia comes with 8GB internal storage and 1GB RAM
...of approximate 2 GB firmware and 5.5 GB “Internal storage” for music, pictures and movies, and downloaded applications and their data.
there is then about just under 5GB available for your for music, pictures and movies, and downloaded applications and data
Even after removing most of the bloatware maybe I still have that approximation wrong, HOWEVER that is the figure my mobile is telling meh!
Cool stuff
...over 200 downloads since posting my ROM
Thanks everyone
I hope it exceeds my Miui V4 port rom 1000 download expectations!

I have tried .207 but wasn't happy with all the extra Apps that appeared and also Sony SU kept telling to update the mobile!!!!!!
Waiting for a cleaner stable generic UK version to appear that I can work with before I can provide a slim .207 for the community
12.1.A.1.207 Rom
For those that were waiting
Here it is 12.1.A.1.207 Generic Slim Rom now tested and uploaded
This is something you don't see everyday. Usually people create stock ROMs and just delete stuff here and there and call it theirs but I was quick to change the stereotype looking at the work you have done in improving the Sony Stock Firmware. I would suggest removing the extras from it and create a ROM with bug fixes and less of bloatware you place in to replace the Sony bloatware. It kills the idea of a slim ROM if you're going to add things inside. I recommend just placing in technologies such as xreality and such to further improve the phone aesthetically and also maybe improve the user experience. With that out of hand, this ROM can be quite a competition to other stock ROMs out there providing a true slim experience. (Hopefully yours doesn't compete with my upcoming ROM haha)

I agree adding stuff back into an already bloatware free Rom defeats the object of a slim Rom..... thank you for your kind words and I look forward to your upcoming Rom

The OP said your ROM must be unlocked, so my question is, does Bravia Engine and X-reality work?
