Pure AOSP ROM.
This Rom is built by me from Google Sources for hammerhead device. synced with android-4.4_r1 branch.
This ROM is only for Nexus 5 device. If you don't know how to install a ROM, please read general and q&a forums. I don't take any responsibility for the brick your device.
Features:
- Android KitKat 4.4 {KRT16O}
- pure AOSP rom Google kitkat Source for nexus 5
- uses original google kernel 3.4.0
- tested and working with faux123's and fransisco's kernels.
How to install
- download rom zip, copy to your storage
- wipe data&cache if you coming from another rom
- install rom then gapps and reboot

This is modified pa_gapps and includes only new apps and replaces stock google camera app.

To fix Camera HDR+
(you need installed this gapps: pa_gapps-full-4.4-20131105b-signed.zip)
download hdrplusfix.zip
get a root file manager (es file manager is good)
copy 3 lib files to /system/lib
set permissions of 3 libs to rw- r-- r-- (644)
reboot and try your camera with HDR+

hi, yes you are right about testing phase. but i use it right now and i thought "hey, maybe someone else want use this build too "
anyway thanks for adding to index. i hope battery life will not bad as stock rom. i will report battery life tommorow..

If you build it from source, it doesn't have phone signal. But I think this is source or build related issue. Nothing to do with device itself.

The camera quality is a lot worse than stock and the HDR+ function is missing
Also, the icons are different to stock? Such as Phone etc
I'd love to use this due to 'Stock' AOSP Browser, so much faster than Chrome imo.

My worst dreams have come true, they have converted the stock browser to the chromium back end and now reflow on zoom is gone rendering several of my favourite site unreadable without swiping across the screen... ffffffffffffffffffffffffff

about camera, i can try to add stock camera app to next version.
but icons are not a big deal, they can be easly changed.

that's sad Google removed some useful features from new browser. I hope some devs can get old features back to KitKat.

ps. I've been testing a few other browsers (Firefox, Chrome, ASOP, Tint, Opera) and it seems like Opera still has working reflow on zoom. Unfortunately Firefox removed it in version 24 and now its gone in ASOP browser as well.

also for stock camera, won't you need some libs from the Stock ROM as it may differ to the AOSP one?

All functions are working except for SlowMo video (encoding features missing in roms)
Survives (CM) ota updates
Semi-Removes stock CM Camera & Gallery, will come back with undo zip

It renames the apk's of the cm apps with a .disabled extension so that they aren't recognized as app, meaning they are still there but not recognized, the undo script renames them back
What version is the Moto camera?
Also, can I uninstall the Moto gallery separately, since I already have the camera app.

No not yet I am trying to get a workaround since Motorola only allows stock Motorolas to install it from google play, probably it wil be some build.prop editing.
Well the app doesn't get updated from play store ! Hope u find a way pretty soon

Yes, edit my installer script and it also uninstalls moto camera

Obviously you can. Open the zip with any file Explorer. Delete the camera.apk. And den flash.

Hi, i can't find the pause button when recording a video, i'm using Minimal Os.
In stock rom (5.0.2) i have the pause button when recording.

Sorry, but I never found a pause button, the only thing I ever noticed was click for record and click for stop, no pause at all.

I have search here and there on google and finally got the flashable zip of moto assist for Moto G 2nd gen XT1068
Please flash it at your own risk i am not responsible if any ocuur
i had tested it on Xt1068 and working fine
Install it as a normal flashable zip file from recovery preferd TWRP or CWM. Dont forget to backup your data before flashing the zip using TB app or any other.
Steps to flash
1. Reboot to recovery
2.select zip file flash it
3.reboot system:fingers-crossed:
4.enjoy moto assist on cm12.1:good:

this feature are still under development for MOTO G2 you can check this => KERNEL
but its still have many bugs and pease read everything in OP then flsh at your own risk..
Hi, thanks for this worked fine on an XT1068 AOSP 5.1.1 but i guess the driving mode not being available is normal right ? as it's not shown in the OP screen grabs either..

I'm having a problem. When receiving an sms at home or when driving the phone wakes and shows the MIC icon which I should tap and say 'Listen' to have the sms read out, but that feature doesn't work. I tap the MIC but it doesn't enable anything. I've installed Motorola Contextual Services as above to get the driving and home modes.
Can anyone help me get this working?
I have it working now. I didn't have some Google apps installed. I had flashed slim zero gapps and was missing the google app (the one with the blue icon), after installing that from the Play Store and another dependent google app, sms reading is working now.

Interesting tidbit: the new command center widget tells me when I am connected to "turbo power". I never saw that on the old command center or any other app.

Widget requires Android 5.0 and up.
No root apk working great on 2013 stock everything with 5.1.
I like it, but I think the former widget was more "material" style.
Working fine in Moto X Play with Ressurection Remix 5.5.8 ROM, with apk install.

If you flash the original file you can observe that there are two gallery apps (latest one and old one) installed in your mobile, but if you flash this modified zip file there will be one gallery app (latest one). Also I have included latest cyanogen camera app into this file.

It will work on CM 12.1 snapshot/nightly. But there are some fc on CM 13.
Trying to use panorama makes the app hang and taking a photo with HDR doesn't work at all (the app keeps saving the picture forever). Any solutions?
