Here's a couple of posts from the other thread you created to remind you why ROM comparisons are not allowed.
Your first post asked about JB, this one about ICS. Two different animals. On ICS we have many great fully functioning stable ROMs it boils down to the level of bloat you want removed for you, the theming, and the amount of tweaking and optimization. The leanest one that still maintains a fully functional sense is the one I'm using the Energy ROM, however, it's dated and the dev indicated last week that he'd be updating soon. SuperAfnan has a couple of outstanding ROMs both themed and stock. The ARHD ROM was updated yesterday and is totally stock with tweaks, it's probably the closest to the stock factory ROM. Then if you can live with a few minor bugs involving Bluetooth and tethering, the Viper Amaze is one of the most heavily tweaked, optimized, and full featured ROMs for our device, and it's sense 4 not 3.6 like the rest. I hope this helps.

ROM comparison threads are not allowed. You need to test them out and find one that works for you by yourself. Please read the threads instead of asking because ROMS are subjective.
Please do not take developer work for granted.
As Odysseus1962 stated there's so l many to choose from and he has already provided you with information so please just read the ROM threads. I'll give you a hint, there's a "broken" / "not working" section on the ROM threads so you can find bugs accordingly. Ones without it are usually more-or-less problem free.

Some people never learn! I guess it's time for TonyStarks to step in yet again!

Please stop spamming for suggestions on ROMs and do some searching. Try some out for yourself.
Please take a moment and read through the XDA rules, before you open more threads.

[Q] What's currently the best rom? [GS II]

I've noticed some inconstancies with the CM 7 Stable build and would like a different rom to flash. I want to overclock the phone to 1.4-1.6 and would like it to be as stable as possible. Which rom is currently available that meets my needs? Thank in advanced and please pardon my noob-iness. I just don't quite have the time to troll all the threads in the dev section to find out for myself and don't really understand half the features anyway. I've been out of the android game for the last 2 years or so.
please dont create a thread comparing rom's. This has been done many times before in other sections and never ends well. Just try a rom and see what works for you because not all phones react the same to every rom. There's only 3 or 4 roms right now for the SGS2 and there's a thread listing them all out (in the dev section).

sorry admins
Well, I think we all remember what it was like being new to ROMS and flashing. I certainly could have used some advice
The only ICS based rom out is an alpha some bugs are present in it however. Link below, they've cancelled development, until CM9. Full description on the website.

If you like a ROM with some nice tweaks and great battery life then I would check out ANDROIDMEDA. Thats what I'm using, very happy with it. Might be in the other 'Original Development' forum.
Hope it helps

I think the main problem with such threads is that they usually get closed down by the admins because it all comes down to personal preference. Well that is what they say before they lock them.
They advise users to experiment to find what works for them. Seriously, I've seen about 3 of them closed in the last week.
BTW, I use checkrom. Very good and easy to customise with its kitchen app. Give it s go...it has it all.

Development forums name suggestion

I understand the idea behind the Development and Original development forum names, but they still don't seem to be helpful at all.
I suggest naming them something like "HTC EVO 4G LTE Sense based Development" and "HTC EVO 4G LTE ASOP based Development".
There are sense based ROMS with Original development....so that doesnt work.
Saying only AOSP ROMS contain original development shows a general lack of understanding what goes into making all of those tweaks available to us on sense ROMS.
Fine the way it is
Try and be reasnbl

He didn't say that though, did you read his post?
I agree with OP. It would be nice to have some organization in the forums. The AOSP section wouldn't be that big but that's all I really care about development-wise anyway.
There's only 2 or 3 AOSP ROMs. They don't need their own section. Its real easy to tell whats sense and whats AOSP by just looking at the title.
And while OP didnt explicitly state that sense ROMS don't have original development, that seems to be whats implied here, which is the argument that is made in other threads.
The original development section is there to highlight devs who have contributed above and beyond the norm. Its there to easily recognize whats original and whats modified stock. Go to the EVO 4G forums... they are a mess anytime there is a new OTA with multiple people releasing a stock ROM with the same tweaks.
I'm not saying its the best method, but its better than what was suggested.
it was better with one dev section... 2 is just a pain in the a$$..

There are only a couple so far, but official CM support could cause that number to go up. I know how the original section works, as I have been one of the people pushing it the most and explaining it to people who didn't understand it. I just think there's a better way and that we should experiment.
I was confused as well when I came to this section... why is there 2? Everything is fine in one section lol a [cm10] or [AOSP BASED] tag in the rom name makes it stand out enough lol I dun get it, what kind of roms go into original and what kind goes into regular?
Isn't all modifications considered "original"?
What if you use someone elses mods but bake it into. An all in oone rom? Its not original cuz you didn't make any of the mods so would it go in regular? Or maybe it is considered original cuz he baked it all in one?
Real curious lol

Instead of typing up my usual wall of text, I'll just give you this link.
If it was as easy as you think it is, why are there so many people who can't figure out that you can't flash a Sense kernel to an AOSP ROM? That is just an example. There really is a lot of confusion and many, many other examples.
Yes, it is easy for you and I, but we are clearly the exception, not the rule.
I am experienced and know what is what, but I have to weed through a lot of crap to see anything useful.
I did not imply anything about what is original or not. Don't read into what I write. I am always very clear and specific.

That has almost nothing to do with what I said. I am not talking about what is original or not. That would be someone's opinion.
I am suggesting a simple system. A ROM is either modified from an existing ROM or it is compiled from code.

I think they should spit development into ROMS and everything else. I've tried the so called original sense roms, besides being heavily themed whats original about them? They have even borrowed some of the so called non original rom features. 4x5 rosie would be an example. That was a meanrom original but it isn't classified as original. Its all a bunch of ego wagging with the way the threads are organized.
In before lock...
I don't really mind the current setup, now that I'm used to it. But if it were me, I would have a forum for root methods, a forum for roms and a forum for kernels.

Though I honestly do not see this changing at all anytime soon, esp given that this was implemented as a trial run in other devices long ago and worked out fine...

SHOstock2 ICS or SuperNexus JB?

I'm getting a GS3 and giving my GS2 to my gf. While I prefer the customization options of AOKP it isn't as stable as some of the other ROMS. I want her to have a great experience with a rom that will be stable and not so buggy. I've used SHOstock2 before and found it to be quite stable. But I'd like some opinions of those that have used both SHOstock2 and SuperNexus JB. Is the JB rom very stable or a bit buggier since it's newer? What has been your experience?
Thanks in advance. ^_^

We can kill his now . Angel I'm disappointed, you've been around long enough to know the mods don't like threads like this. PM people if u want their opinions. All these devs work hard to give us free awesomeness, so it kinda pits them against each other when we compare them or try and lift one above another. They're all good. Try em out and see for yourself.

Both SHOstock2 and Task's AOKP ICS are ROCK.
I haven't tried any JB firmware yet but don't expect the "bug-free" stage. Stable? they should be.
I read the rules so I'm within my rights to post a thread like this. If the mods don't like these types of posts they can simply use this opportunity to adjust the forum rules. I have no issues with that. But I've read and double read them and I'm not violating the forum rules. Where does it say keep all opinions to yourself and don't ask or give an opinion to others?
And I'm not trying to sound rude or inconsiderate here I'm just being factual and objective regarding the subject. I very much appreciate the hard work and diligence the developers put into their projects but if rom A is buggier or less stable than rom B its not an issue of "show respect to everyone" if someone else is simply stating their own experiences with that rom. I primarily use AOKP but even on the ICS builds there have been certain apps that cause a hard freeze guaranteed that never did when running SHOstock2. It's simply a statement of fact for me based on my experiences.

These types of threads ARE allowed... Mods come in and close them because users flame the op generally or are just plain negative... It gets out of control and we have to police it up. If you don't like what the op is asking just don't post simple as that... and if it's NOT allowed REPORT it... We have mods that will take care of the issues (or if you can't control yourself and MUST post apply to become a mod)...
You sir have just undone some work and created more for the mods.

All the information u need about any rom u want to flash is found in its thread. And in the Op of each thread it tells u if anything major is busted. Along with screen shots normally. There is no reason u can't look in the threads to see what if anything is wrong with the rom and if its enjoyable to use. U can also PM users that are using the rom to see what problems they may have had. So all the info u need already exists. I could flash a rom and have no problems. Everything fits perfectly. You may flash it and think it sucks. I may have apps that don't require push notifications or maybe I don't use sync options. U might. This will affect battery life. So not only is there never a reason to start a thread like this. But even if u do your experience versus mine will be drastically different based on what we use how we use it and what we install. This topic has been beaten to DEATH. Flash the rom and try it for a day. Switch if u don't like it. Is there anyone here who can tell u what you'll like better than YOU?

I AM A MOD. Did you read my post above yours?
I don't want this to become a bigger issue than it already has. This thread wouldn't have "degraded" if the unconstructive posts were just left out.
I'm obviously not getting any help with this and anyone that would have wanted to post is scared aware by the previous negative posts. I agree with Venom that if you don't like a post or a topic, and you have nothing constructive to add to the post, you are not obligated to post in it. I'm still new to the forums and I'm only here to try and learn and help others with the knowledge that I acquire through my experiences and through the information that I read here at XDA.
I love getting feedback and constructive criticism because it can help expand my knowledge and I don't flame others or try to deride them for their questions or comments. When trying to help others or when posting on their threads please be mindful that we all began somewhere. At one point we all lacked the knowledge. We gain understanding by asking questions, reading, researching, and trying things out for ourselves.
Thank you and have a good day fine gentlemen. I'm going to pick up my GS3 and void its warranty now. =)
Ive ran supernexus very smooth and stable beside a bug or two. the dev for that rom said he may possibly be releasing a newer build today. So things should be extremely stable.
I forgot what this thread was about halfway through Page one lol I thought I was in xda rules and etiquette. I'd personally give a hand-me-down with the oldest, least likely to "waste my time fixing later" software. You'll be expected to handle whatever happens to it, undoubtedly.

Hi guys.
I have an Atrix here and wanna use just for little things :
Play music via Chromecast
Clock and alarm
Weather
The use is just over wifi without simcard.
What you guys suggest to run this things.
No luck with Epinter version 10-20130421-unofficial-epinter-olympus. Problems with play music and Chromecast.
Thanks.
