If you have SU binary, then you can put it in its place using Aroma File Manager from recovery. Use V1.80 or V1.90
Root NOT required
If this doesn't work (less than 1% chance) then make a backup, flash stock ROM and root again and restore backup.
Press Thanks if helped

[Q] root without cable? (can't link usb, need root to unroot it for warranty)

Hi guys,
I'm having some real trouble out here!
Apparantly my usbport of samsung galaxy S3 broke.
I can't recharge and i can't use it to link to the computer...
Tried like 5 different adapters and changing batteries nothing works :crying:
I have installed cmw and did a root earlier
and while trying to fix the problem
i tried a factory reset..
Since i want to take it back to the store i need to unroot it,
but because of the factory reset i apparantly don't have root acces anymore..
(cmw manager gives a message about it's running on a different kernal an it needs CF-Root v5.0)
and when i'm trying to acces the app triangle away it says it needs root acces which i can't give..
is there a way to root my phone without the use of a cable,
just by using dropbox or wifi?
Thx in advance! :
Download a nandroid backup, create a backup of your current ROM, once finished delete the backup files inside the file with the date and time, and replace them with the nandroid backup you downloaded, boot into recovery and restore http://db.tt/lYHqsZP8 <---- is a nandroid backup, just extract!

If you can boot into CWM, you can use this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/l1q751xh1ab8s4n/cwm-supersu.zip
I'm not sure where i got it from ( had it for a while ) but that's what i always use for root. Includes 'su' binary + SuperSU.apk
Thx! :good:, one problem once i go into recovery mode there isn't an option to make a backup..
sry don't have experience with the nandroid backup..
Is there another way to make this backup, by some sort of apk or something or maybe create the file?
thx in advance!
Thx for the help so far!
That's one of the problems i encountered,
once i install the supersu app it opens but can't update the binaries..
anyone knows how to do this?
did you try 'fix permissions' in cwm already? Seems like either 'su' binary is missing or has incorrect permissions
That's the problem i can't get into cmw, because i don't have root acces...
But thx for the input

i mean boot into cwm, not from the app. hold UP+home+power until screen blacks out, then still keep holding that combination until you see the recovery boot up. There in 'advanced' you'll find 'fix permissions'.
As far as i know cwm recovery doesn't require you be rooted, since i use cwm recovery to actually root my phone.
If you can't boot into cwm recovery, or don't even have it installed yet - i have no idea. You might be f'ed, but someone might have an idea.
When i do that it goes into android mobile recovery but not into nandroid..
So basicly i have to install it again.. Really don't know how to do that wireless
Hope someone does, otherwise i'll just have to let it fixed...

[Q] Flashing zip without getting in Recovery

Hi. I have Xperia Go with unlocked bootlader.
I installed Recovery. CWM. For the first few times I got in recovery menu by pressing volume down button while booting.
Now I can't get in the menu. But the recovery is working. (I Checked using Titanium Backupp and Pimp My Rom)
In pimp my rom, this app can install Sony Bravia Engine 2 and other flashalbe zip file without getting into recovery menu.
So I'm pretty sure I can do that using some app. Help please?
There is a way but you need root explorer but i dont know how to install it without CWM Recovery

[Q] SK17i problem with CWM Recovery

Hi guys! I had installed CWM Recovery this morning, but after wiping and installing this rom I can't boot in recovery anymore and I don't like this rom..
My phone has locked bootloader. Now, i have this room working, but if I install X-Parts it says that my phone is not supported
Any ideas? I triyng to fix it since 04.00pm and I can't solve it!
Help please
flashing a rom wipes your system partition which wipes your recovery. because you haven't flashed a kernel that includes a recovery. x parts installs recovery mode to your system partition. There's a CWM flashable zip for the recovery in themes and apps section. download it first. You can open that zip and copy the files in to your device. then you can have a recovery.
Remember to flash that zip whenever you flash another rom before exiting recovery mode.

sk17i CWM
Hi all,
After spending 1 week and trying most methods to install CWM on my Xperia x10 sk17i without any success, the only method that worked was downloading and installing CWM auto installer.apk on my phone.

[Q] CWM without Root

Hi guys.
Few days back I purchased Canvas A110Q (Canvas 2 plus)
Its om jelly beans 4.2.1 so all the methods posted here for rooting it failed as there is no space in system folder. So i have few questions which I think some experienced peoples can answer. I wanted to ask:
1)Can I install CWM without rooting my Canvas A110Q
2) Can I install rooted rom without rooting my Canvas A110Q?
If yes then how can we do the same.
Please answer my questions, I am eagerly waiting to root my phone.
Thanks

Actually these days canvas 2 plus comes with version 2 ROM, so all the methods provided to root this device fails because in this rom there is no space in the systems folder i suppose thats why when we tries to root it, it always gets failed because su does'nt gets pushed in system folder.
So I wanted to flash pre rooted rom or downgrade it to version 1 rom but need steps of doing the same via flash tool or any other way.

Unable to root Samsung Galaxy Star Pro Duos GT-S7262
Hey There,
I have tried almost all possible ways to root my Samsung Galaxy Star Pro Duos GT-S7262 , nothing seems to be working. I have stock ROM 4.1.2, Baseband s7262xxuanf1 with stock recovery. Plz refer attached pic for detailed info like kernel and baseband version etc. And i have proper drivers, I am very sure its not about the drivers.
1) Tried around 8 - 10 one click root software, like Unlock root, Kingo, Vroot, SRS root, One click root, rescue root, etc. But all failed.
2)Tried flashing custom recovery CWM for S6272 from various sources using Odin, dint work. Because when ever the phone reboots after the flash it reloads stock recovery. And if i try going to recovery without letting reboot it gives a white screen. And my stock recovery doesn't have the option of updating .zip from SD card.
3) Tried rooting using SU update with ADB from stock recovery by ADB updated. And in this case Signature varification fails.
4) Tried Towel method this doesn't work too.
PS- I dont care which recovery i end up with, i just want it to be rooted..

same here btw...I have an old star pro duos gt s7262...I did everything I could...it flashes the file through Odin which is a piece of cake...but can't get into cwm recovery...I don't know what's wrong....where as I have a moto g 1st gen...I flashed my moto g...I flashed cm12 and everything's running smooth and great....no issues !
I even admit this, that those steps were much tougher than this so called "Odin..."
the main thing is that...I did everything I could but can't get into cwm recovery mode...it only shows the stock recovery
I even tried to root my device through cydia impactor but it says signature bugs unavailable....
SOLVED !!!

hey pal I've found a solution for this
just download this firmware and flash it through Odin...its pre rooted...you just need to extract and flash this firmware....just search the web "S7262 Root Firmware" but make sure to turn on the usb debugging mode and to install the latest Samsung usb driver which is Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones 1.5.45.0 (July 2014) before flashing !
After flashing the firmware just search for the supersu app in app drawer
and finally extract and flash cwm recovery....works like a charm !
