Help unlocking I337 not letting me access umts or any service menu - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Long story short i bought 2 preowned phones for Christmas at game stop. One of the phones I sent it out for service and the mobo was replaced. The phone lost it unlocking and I've being trying to unlock it for 1 month now. I've tried all the different menus nothing can be accessed in the services menu. I have gone to every retailer possible paid for the unlock codes several times. I paid $500 for this phone and i can't even sell it on ebay everyone wants it unlock-able. I even had Samsung re install the software at best buy. Still can't put in any code cause still get "Network Unlock Request Unsuccessful". I paid 3 code unlocks for $30 a piece and the phone sell for eBay from $380-$420. I was going to wait for kit kat update to try the unlock codes but by then the phone will be worth $200. I Don't want brick the phone or root it I just need someone that knows this stuff to fix it so i can sell it ASAP.
Please help me I've being dealing with this for a month

Why don't you ask in the at&t forum, this is Verizon you probably won't find anybody who knows about your carrier

Should I buy it?

Question for you guys. I have a chance to buy this phone (SGS2 ATT) for $370. Like new and comes with everything, the seller has had it for a month and said he just didn't like it. I've done research between both the Amaze and this phone and I like both. I'm currently on Simple mobile and will need to unlock it but I know I will only get EDGE. Is it worth getting this phone and trying it out, and if I don't like it just sell it? What do you guys think?
You can definitely try it out and if you don't like it, you can probably sell it for that price or higher is my guess.. You can unlock it by rooting the phone or buying the unlock code from eBay or something...
Yeah, this is a great phone and you should (or at least I would) give it a try. There's already a thread about unlocking the phone, its just an app you download then run something once.
you dont have to buy any code to unlock it..if you've been an AT&T customer for more than 90 days and are in good standing all you have to do is call customer service and tell them you're traveling over seas and you need the unlock code..they'll give it to you for free...you just need a sim card from another provider to be able to punch in the code..once the codes punched in..its good forever..put ur AT&T sim back in
i did this
^I thought that your phone have to be registered to AT&T for more than 90 days.. which this phone only been out for about 73 days.
Either way guys, I don't have AT&T. I'm on Simple Mobile (T-mobiles Brother network )

Sim unlock of T-Mobile HTC One

I heard from several T-Mobile HTC owners that they tried to unlock it from some websites but after paying $25 they found out that those sites don't have the unlock code for the T-Mobile version of HTC.
I can't unlock it by calling T-Mobile as I'm on prepaid and I only use T-Mobile about 15 days a year when travelling through the states so I'm looking for a site that somebody has had success unlocking T-Mobile HTC One.
If you were able to get it sim unlocked, please, list the site and the cost.
I asked for the sim unlock yesterday at tmobile, they replied today.
HTC denied it because we have to wait 40 days of use first.. or pay your bill, I will call them back.
edit: its not HTC its Tmobile that denied it, they want users to use the phone for 40 days,
edit: im calling them back right now, cause I did pay it in full. they are going to put another request to HTC.
thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. We have received your SIM Unlock Request. Unfortunately, we are unable to process your request at this time because your Equipment Installment Plan is not paid in full. You can make a payment by logging into the T-Mobile Web Site www.T-Mobile.com, through our automated system by dialing 611 from your handset or 1-800-937-8997 from a landline phone. Once the Equipment Installment Plan has been paid in full please contact us to have another SIM Unlock Request submitted.
another email cause I requested for 2 htc ones.

I've been T-Mobile's PrePaid customer since 2011. Bought HTC One on launch day, called them that first weekend, and my phone was unlocked within 24hrs, on a Weekend!!!
I did buy it at full price.
That said, my gf's iPhone 5 they won't unlock for 40days even though it's paid in full... weird.

I bought the phone off craigslist so I don't have a receipt that I paid full price, so online unlocking sites is my only way.
has anyone been successful unlocking it form one of those sites and how much was it?

I wouldn't know if the seller had it paid in full and even if I know I can't ask T-Mobile to unlock it as I don't have a receipt. I'm in Canada and the phones price from T-mobile in US on a plan is $579+tax but I'm not on a plan, I'm on pre-paid, if you are on pre-paid, you can't buy the phone online or by calling T-mobile, if you find a store that carries them then they will tell you the full price for pre-paid customers is $650+tax but some pre-paid customers said that when they run it through the price comes out at $610+tax for pre-paid plans. When I talked to a TMO store on a couple of occasions they all said both times that I would need to pay $650+tax, not $610. Either way it's quite more than $570 that I paid on craigslist for a new phone even if I have to pay $25 to get it unlocked online.
That's not my point where I bought it from. My question for this thread was: Has anyone been able to successfully sim unlock it from those online sites? If yes, what site was it and what was the price
okay peeps... check it out, I understand why some had there unlock codes given to them..
find someone that has a T-Mobile acct, prepaid or contract, it doesn't matter, I have received my unlock codes from T-Mobile with prepaid also..
I remembered they did that to me along time ago. the reason they said I can have it at the end of the month, it will be 40 days of service on May 28.
so if you have a friend that u know who has been with T-Mobile for over 40 or more days of service in good standing, and they also have to be using the phone for at least 5 days with there sim card on the phone, they will release the unlock code.
they can tell if they have been using the phone with the existing sim. u can unlock 1 phone every 90 days.

Hi there,
I tried unlocking my phone from htconlineunlock.com . It did generate a code for me. But when I put that into my phone it says incorrect pin.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Do not try to unlock using cellunlocker.net, at least until confirmed working. I checked my IMEI and chose US T-Mobile for my operator and they confirmed it as unlock code available. I paid $25 but didn't receive a code. 12 hours later I got a refund with a message that the phone is too new asking to check again in a couple of weeks once they update their database.

Try it several times, I heard that for some it may take as many as 6 attempts and then it finally takes the code. If not, ask them for refund. I didn't get a code from cellunlocker.net and even didn't have a chance to ask for refund, they just did it once they found out they couldn't get the code for me.

I guess then you can request a refund from them.
Hopefully we'll have someone successfully unlock it from one of those sites and will have a report here as to what site it was. I'm eagerly waiting to get it unlocked. I already cut my sim card to micro size and am currently using it in my old HTC Amaze with the leftover plastic that I use as an adapter for the smaller sim.

Im just doubtful about one thing. I bought the phone from the US. But im Home (india) for the summer and was trying to use the indian sim to unlock it. Can that be the problem? Like do I need an at&t or some other US carrier sim to unlock it?
I am in the same boat. Bought an HTC one from a US owner eyeing on the fact that it has 1700Mhz support so I can run it on my Wind Mobile network. I need a code now it's impossible for me to use the T-mobile service for 60 days when I'm physically not there.

That's exactly my story. I do have a prepaid account on T-Mobile (their $3/per day plan) but I only use it about ten days a year and I think they ask to use it actively like every day for 60 days for pre paid accounts in order to unlock, but even if I do, I still won't be able to do that as I don't have a receipt.
I guess we just have to be patient and wait till one of those unlocking sites gets T-Mobile codes on their database
Im in the same boat too.
Bought this phone in the US and was told by the rep that customer service would unlock it. Well ive tried 3 different times and they keep refusing. Also ive tried about 10 different online unlock services, all have failed. I really dont wanna have to sell this phone back into the US because it cost me over $800 after import duty and i'd get nowhere near that. And of all the friends that i have in the US, none of them have service with t-mo or know anyone who does. Is t-mo really that ****ty?
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas, please share.
I tried www.myhtcunlock.com last night. Paid $35. In the morning I received a refund from them with a message that the phone is too new asking to try again in a couple of weeks.
If anyone is successful in unlocking it from a site, let us know what site it was.
I've used htcsimunlock.com a few times. It usually comes out to $15-20, but they have not disappointed me yet.

[Q] Sim Unlock Help

First time here, but I have had no success in finding a sim unlock code for my HTC One. It is currently locked to AT&T and I have tried at least 6 or 7 different unlocking sites but to no avail. Every unlocking site has sent me a refund saying that they could not find a code or unsupported IMEI. My question is why is this happening? I bought the phone on ebay since there are no carriers on Guam that currently sell the HTC One. There is a local shop that can network unlock my phone but it will cost me $110. I would rather not spend that much money. Does anyone have any ideas as why this is happening or maybe help me get my phone unlocked? I would gladly pay someone as long as it will get my phone unlocked. (sorry about the long post)
It's probably stolen or a fake.

Have you tried using this site yet? unlockcode247 I just used it a few days ago to unlock my AT&T HTC One. It cost me $3.20 and it took like 4 hours for me to receive the unlock code. I just put in the IMEI number on the phone and that was it. I hope this helps you.

[Q] T-Mobile lied to me.

Hello XDA,
I have been here a lot of times, but didn't remember my essential info to log on as before.
I was in USA recently and someone stole my backpack. I went to t mobile, to buy a phone. And I specified, I need it to be unlocked because in a month I am flying back home. I paid the device normal price 350 dollars for an S3 and got it or 300 dollars don't remember. I am now home and the device doesn't work. And I want to unlock it and remove the T mobile firmware.
is it possible?
Regards
Mario

Not sure where the lie is...? They don't sell the phones unlocked, even when purchased out right. If you were told that, most likely the CSR just didn't know what they were talking(common) about rather than actively lying to you. You should be able to contact their customer service to obtain an unlock code though if you have proof of purchase. Other than that, if it isn't updated (not likely) past 4.1.2 you can unlock it yourself via hidden menu. If you are on 4.3, this method no longer works that I have seen and you'll need to purchase an unlock code from a reputable source if T-Mobile refuses to help or you are unable to provide them with the necessary details for them to give you the code.

I asked her like 4 times. Will it work in my country? The answer was yes, and the last time was, are you going to ask me again sir?
Can someone direct me to the secret menu? I am in my country now. Will it unlock?
I am on odin and I cant flash back the 4.1.1. why is that. If I flash it back I will be able to use the secret code
So, you got it from the US, and not you are home (can I as where?) and it doesn't accept your sim card?
Do you have an authentic receipt with the full price, and/or proof of purchase?
if so you can contact an authorized Samsung dealer in your area and describe the issue, and they will give you the unlock codes.
Something similar happened to me: I bought a brand new Galaxy S3 from Europe and sent it as a gift to the Middle east, where it didn't work, but with the receipt and some patience (a week/10 days), Samsung sent us the unlock codes.

No, once you update to latest version (4.3) with its modem, you can't use old unlock codes (unless you backed up your EFS), but I guess your only hope is Samsung, try them first.

Unlocking Note 4 (AT&T

I'll be real: I just got out of prison. That fact relates to my issue/question:
I purchased a Note 4, brand new, and had not even used it once when I was arrested and eventually sent away.
I just got out of prison last month. I want to upgrade the Note 4 to a better version of Android so I can run updated apps that won't work on 4.4.4, but I can't, because I now owe AT&T more than $3k (for the 5 phones that were on my account -> I couldn't fulfill the contract, obviously, so they want to charge me for all the phones plus a bunch of fees, etc). Checking for software updates indicates "no available updates" because this phone is locked to AT&T and they obviously won't let me update a phone for which the contract wasn't paid off.
I have NO money, so I can't buy an unlock code. Does anyone know where to get a legit code free?
I've never unlocked a phone before... I was a loyal AT&T customer who regularly upgraded to a new phone (extending the contract) every time an upgrade was available. Does anyone have a link to the steps on how to unlock the phone if I DO locate an unlock code?
At this point, I can't even afford cell service: I make all my calls via WiFi apps using free WiFi. I have no money and no cards, or I'd try buying a code.

I don't think you will find a free unlocking service for this situation, especially if your phone is under contract or has unpaid bills.
What you can do is to sell your phone and get an unlocked one (older but cheaper)
Or to pay for the $20-$30 unlocking services you can find at your local phone shop or online.
Online you can try hereMod Edit
