A beginners guide to app interface - Other Operating Systems and Languages

Just thought I would share a fantastic PDF, It's several pages and great for beginners and I learned a lot . So here it is in my Dropbox for your enjoyment as well. I hope you can learn as much as I did
Mod edit: Link removed - thread closed.

No more link/file? I'd be interested. I'm terrible with UI design and would like to learn more.

Live Wallpapers - Some guidance?

Hey there,
I'm interested in learning about Live Wallpapers - The aim is to make one that makes use of the picture linked below, and the text will change to display today's forecast.

I've had a nose around looking for more information on making something like this around Google and this forum but I've only found guides for creating simple animations and such..
I'm wondering if you this is achievable, and if you think it wouldn't be too big a jump to learn how to do for someone who's knowledge in coding is limited to html and some basic CSS - If you have any links to useful information that could help me along in making something like this it would be greatly appreciated because admittedly Google left me feeling a bit lost and I figured you guys would be the best people to ask .
Thanks for the help!
Little bump, hope you don't mind, if no replies I'll seek help elsewhere

[Q] Android programming

Can someone tell me where can I find tutorials and books for programming Android Apps? I already installed Eclipse and now I need to read something that will help me how to begin the programming. I know some Java programming and know I need to learn how to apply it in developing Android Apps. I need some sources other than developer.android.com
Here's a tutorial:
http://www.vogella.de/articles/Android/article.html
Also, you can always use Google:
https://www.google.com/search?q=android development tutorial
Or even YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=android+development+tutorial
to find tutorials.

Not to offend you mate, but can you please sum up all your app shares in a single thread and update the same when you add new ones?
I know sharing is good thing but it all makes a mess in this section.
Everytime making a thread for each app is not going to help either. You can even request a sticky thread from mods if your thread becomes popular. That helps everyone including me and you as I wouldn't have to look at all threads everytime I have to use/check some app. Looking in single thread is lot easier.
A Hero Can Be Anyone

It needs everyone in...An important message for all members and developers

Hello to everyone.
I'm glad, of course, that I'm a member of this wonderful and unique forum.
And I benefited from being here a lot.
But there's something that saddens me.
There are no video tutorial for the development of Android.
As a junior, I want to contribute like the rest of the developers.
But I'm at the height of confusion in the face of so many things.
This unique site needs many tutorials that help beginners to be developers.
For example
I tried in various ways to integrate s9 infinity wallpaper
In many of the roms I use, but I failed.
I searched this forum and online and i couldn't find a single tutorial for that
Why!!
While many developers integrate these backgrounds into their roms with ease
So why do developers slacken us as beginners?
I always have problems after recompiling systemui.apk
that the statusbar disappears
Also for RomControl
Which contains many advantages for modifying rom
I don't know how it's integrated into the system.
And how do I edit id for smali files
Please urge the moderators of the forum to urge the developers to develop complete tutorial of this process in order to enrich the forum with many topics
We don't want it to be just for the developers.
Actually, I feel lost.
Many terms are incomprehensible to me.
Although I have little knowledge of file editing, I stand unable to understand the files of Android systems.
I don't want to talk too long.
I ask the members to interact with my subject and support it so that the supervisors can see it
Greetings to everyone.
