I'm having a random reboot problem too.
Soft reboot makes com.android.media force close. Normal reboot is the solution

Still No success on Video Recording on CM 11 / 4.4.2 builds... :crying:

We really need some speed optimization for the device.. I know its not yet in final release but its too damn slow.

The trick is, shuffle betwen recoverys, i flash whit the latest recovery the cm11, then i flash old recovery, flash the zips for scripts etc, and then flash again latest recovery.:highfive:
PS: you can stay whit old recovery in the end if you wish.

We know that there are ways to flash with cwm5, but team androidarmv6 and i also dont want to use/support this legacy recovery support nor do we support it!
So dont post bugs if you flash CM11 with CWM5.x!
Use the working CWM 6.0.4.7 for flashing CM11!

Thats maclaws own decision to support legacy recovery.
No idea why he did it.
We dont want it.
Before we have had a working cwm6.x we internally tested with cwm5.x
Team androidarmv6 waited with cm11 public release untill they got cwm6.x working.
They decided to keep cm11 as clean as they can.
I also waited with my modded variants and cwm 6.x release untill i got the ok from team androidarmv6.
But now we have the situation we wanna prevent.
Some ppl support cm11 on cwm5.x

Cuz maclaw didnt wanted to work his butt off..
Who cares what he does anyway.... hes a oficial tard.
@Mardon Sorry , missed that one thanks!Anyway int2ext4+ script is working awesome whit your rom
Using it as daily driver.:good:
What i miss is a working toggle for flashlight and wen i try to call someone is a bit slow showing who am i calling, screen stays black for some seconds.
Other than that is awesometastic.Even battery life is good.

Torch should be fixed in latest nightly builds.
Fix was merged by team androidarmv6.
Will also be fixed on my next modded cm11.
Cm team created a dummy package named incallui to keep the process phone in memory to fix the phone black screen problems.
Not sure if its in latest cm11 nightly. Didnt tested yet.
Working on omnirom for ace atm.

yeah, I also understand with androidarmv6 main goal,.
maclaw and androidarmv6 team is big dev.. I believed both...
okay, I clear my post before.
for cwm5.x i just think if maclaw way is better than modifiying updater script.. because its flashable with any recovery also cwm6.x
since, I found how it work.. I'll tested both way. and yeah. I dont publish it.

@The Android Manual is it a port or a source build.
Asking because since atis112 has stopped work on cm9 and it might be a while till hell-lock will release so the bugs might never get fixed.

Did you use his compiled version or compile from source?
He also has a cm10.1 branch which I wanted to look at next week when I have time.
Would be awesome if I could team up with you guys...
kernel is atis's one?

good job man glad to see paranoid andriod working on our desire Xs will be flashing it to my phone as soon as I see wifi and bluetooth working, currently trying to get HTC to allow us to turn s-on to s-off since they let us unlock the bootloader why not s-off aswell

because its unsafe and completely unessary for the device to be s-off.
according to HTC the bootloader unlock is enough to flash custom roms, kernels and recoveries and really what else do you want.
s-off the only advantages i see is Super-cid which allows for a sort of universal stock rom updating. And cyanogenmod official support.
PS i really want is for a dev to check the recovery methods on why we cannot flash via zips modified kernels that are compiled using AOSP toolchain.(asked htc said it should be possible along with flashing recoveries via zip).
personally never tried to flash a kernel...so.

Thats because HTC never gave out sources on how to flash kernels via recovery the only way to flash a kernel that I know off is S-OFF

actually I wanted to know why someone like @neXus PRIME or @atis112 or you can check whats stopping recovery flashes.
because according to htc the boot and recovery partition are no longer write protected once unlocked...so the recoveries should work.
PS the reason I'm asking is because this would eliminate the need of s-off(atleast for me).And allow for official cm support.
EDIT okay seems I was mistaken official cm support is valid if bootloader is unlocked.S-Off is not required....So what are we waiting for...oh ya the official kernel sources

[ROM][KK][4.4][SABERMOD] CyanogenMod 11 [ALPHA BUILDS] Ported for i777

This is ported from @infected_ and his amazing work! I have been personally porting his roms for my i777 for awhile and have been blown away with how much of a difference SaberMod and Linaro have made to the ROM. I have ported this rom with permission to share some 4.4 goodness with the rest of my fellow i777 users. I may keep porting future releases but have not decided yet.
First and foremost, I nor @infected_ are responsible for what you do to your device and YOU accept full responsibility if there are ANY issues.
IF there are any issues please don't blow up @infected_ 's threads looking for support because you will find none. Please just do some research first before posting an issue. Since this is an Alpha build, someone may have already posted a fix for an issue your having in one of the i9100 threads.
I have personally tested this rom out and everything seems to been in working order. I may have missed something though so please don't quote me. The one thing I have noticed is the Battery Percentage is not correct.
Rom: Build 11/23/2013
GApps: 20130813
Older Builds:
Build 11/20/2013
Instructions:
First make a nandroid backup (DUH)
Make sure you are on the newest CWM recovery. These easiest way i do this is flash the newest CM Nightly
Once you flash the newest CM Nightly, reboot recovery
Wipe Data/ Factory Reset
Wipe Cache/ Dalvic Cache
Format System
Flash ROM
Flash GApps
WIPE DATA/ FACTORY RESET (If you don't you will get stuck on CM Logo)
Enjoy

I know there was a flashable zip in Wayland's original CM11 for i9100 thread. I am looing at building nightlies for the i777 and believe the source has already been fixed. In the meantime I will keep porting @infected_ 's builds and will see if its fixed in his newest build and if it persists when porting it over. It may also be a device issue.

I was able to flash this rom pretty easily. That's all I can really say for it though.
I flashed twice (followed the OP steps) and both times, none of the sounds work. I'll try it out another time when the sound is back. I'm excited this is finally becoming more of a reality for this device now though.
Thanks for your hard work!
PS- I did make a phone call while on it, and it worked fine.
got this to boot! phone is dead, so can't do too much testing but just wondering how to get the google launcher?

I have already flashed back to my daily driver. I have also ported @infected_ 's 10.1.3v2 Sabermod/Linaro rom. I work two jobs and am pretty busy but I am setting up my build environment for CM11. I have bookmarked all of Wayland's fixed for different bugs and if they arent merged with the main source I will merge them in my own. The main thing I am working out now is setting up the proprietary blobs for the i777 and integrating them in the CM11 source to build with. The problem is there isn't a repo already setup for CM11 so I will have to create it. Entropy has done most of the work for it for OmniRom and I will most likely be using most of his i777 source. This part is new to me so I am learning this on the way. Once everything is setup and I am able to build functional builds I will try to then use the Sabermod tool-chain along with Linaro for the kernel. @infected_ has inspired me to mimic what he is doing for the i9100 and I have seen how big a difference it has made for my phone. I will post the CM10.1.3v2 port today as well. As I said I use this as my daily driver and everything works on it. Including GPS!

camera works both the pics and rec
games i've tested works (gba emu, and plants v zombies 2) both would freeze or FC on my 4.3
sorry but i have to say this launcher is better though http://goo.gl/19HBuF
and not a single random FC yet

Ok flashed no issues, couple of issues once in use
1. Auto Rotate inst working on initial boot up, reboot fixes that
2. the audio is low, much lower than stock for the external speakers, this has been an issue on all 3 roms so far
This rom does see my SD Card unlike the others and i also have no issue with 5gnz wifi like i did with the other, only thing so far that needs a teak is speaker volume, otherwise its all good thanks

By stock Android you mean AOSP/GPE, correct? What is the kernel based off - stock lg, AOSP?

nycjbr was able to fix the auto-rotate on first boot issue (and other rotation issues) by switching out the sensors.msm8960.so file, might help here? I've no idea what might be different between the file he posted and the one you include.

I'll definitely be switching over once the speaker level issue is sorted out. Thanks for your work!

Yeah and custom recovery, rooting is super simple, twrp is some and commands, nothing daunting, as for warranty... most companies frown upon modifying your device, if you had a warranty issue there is a good guide on here how.to get back to stock that's quite simple

Nice work man! Keep it up
I suppose that this ROM doesn't change anything about the awful sound of the tab. It's purely hardware I guess..
I tried flashing this file in TWRP and it failed. It just went to a screen with a picture of a dead android.
I'm assuming that the install crapped out because I don't have the latest version of TWRP? If this is the case, is there a flashable zip of it somewhere?
Thanks.

Ahhhhh! I managed to flash the rom and now i'm stuck in a bootloop! Help!
You didn't factory reset before flashing, I know this as I did it 1st time, you need to go look in the twrp thread and do the button combo to bring up the reset screen, at that point you can adb reboot recovery, wipe (factory restore) then flash the rom, then flash the gapps
This is the post, download mode is what you need to get into
Drgravy said:
it will work!
you need to put your tablet in download mode first
(this can be a lil tricky)
with your usb unplugged power down your tab hold the power button in till it shuts off
then release it the quickly push both volume up and down then quickly plug in your usb cable
that will put it into download mode
and just follow the instructions in that thread

Also in the general forum you will find a way to recover back to stock that's very easy

Unofficial CyanogenMod 11 SABERMOD 4.8 Toolchain
Alright, well it's about time Google. What we have here is going to be CM11 4.4.4 builds for your Galaxy S2 i777 with the bonus of Sabermod toolchain. I will continue to add tweaks and change things but this will also be updated from CyanogenMod as well. I could theme this if interested as well and at some point I will add more features and tweaks. CLEAN install is recommended for your first time but dirty will be fine after that unless I notify you differently.
HOW TO INSTALL
Make sure you are on CWM 6.0.4.4+ before flashing ROM!
I by far recommend TWRP tho as that is what all testing will be done with because I no longer use CWM.
Download the zip
Download compatible Gapps
WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET
Wipe Cache/Dalvic Cache
Flash the Rom
Flash Gapps
Reboot
Enjoy
Install from my previous build:
Download the zip
WIPE Cache
WIPE Dalvik Cache
Flash the ROM
Reboot

I honestly haven't used Omni in probably 18 months so maybe @cyril279 could help me out here. I know it's similar but from I can remember from way back at least is that cm was more feature rich but again that's been awhile. Sorry been busy trying to as linaro and some small tweaks the kernel and it's been eating my spare time. Not to mention I still have to keep my actual phone updated as well and I run those build as well. I could you another quad core or a couple duo's lol

It's in the recommended gapps for this ROM, but I've had it before, back when Render was still working on 4.4.2. It's a massive battery hog, and so I just disable it w/ TIB

omni rom has a great experience but just as a stock KK means features free but cm has a lot more features and i believe with the latest nighties i have had more smoothness aside from the new update to 4.4.3 which isn't so smooth yet as its still just out . i have tried omni at first but i settled for the cm experience bc its just smooth and feature loaded without any lag , also slim saber by cyril is fantastic and he didd a great job with his solid base but still miss the unique slim customizations . so if i may recommend go with cm but if wanting some minimal taste then go with slim . hope this made it a bit clear for you :cyclops:
New build up. Switched download repository. Updated OP and I also changed the gapps link to an updated version that should work for this device. I'll finish adding linaro to the kernel before the next build just haven't had time to finish editing some things I wanted to test quite yet. Flash and report any issues. Thanks

Arrggghh. Just got the rom installed and now a new one. My typical dumb luck. Anyway I have the 01/05/2014 gapps installed. Seems to be working ok except lately I keep getting the contacts failing to sync. tryed clearing the data for contact storage, but it seems to be a problem in the future.
Anyway, what is the difference with the new Gapps you put up? Do I just install the gapps you put together over top of my existing gapps in recovery?

Wow, thanks @tonyt
You're really pushing these builds! Awesome.
I've only just downloaded AOKP. Still need to flash it though. Will probably try on ROM slot 1.
Currently on Paranoid Android. I was using CM11 for a long time, but after a while it starts lagging, and it seems silly to have to clear cache or monitor everything that's running all the time. Will see how PA does after two weeks or so. But I will be trying your ports out very, very soon!!!
Thank you!
Generated on a RAZR Maxx (XT910) using XDA's free mobile app.
@tonyt I never thought I would have so many choices! Theses are all great. I won't use an AOSP ROM, and all the ROMs you have recently posted are based on or use an AOKP type of system. (They all allow the led light to work with the screen ON, either natively or with the XLed module...)
Currently using the AOSB, and it is running well! Still restoring apps, but this one allows me to move them to the SD card. I loved Dirty Unicorns, but kept running out of space. Keep up the great work, and Thank You!

I'm using AOSB as my daily driver I'm in love with this rom, I'm trying to build and fix all the roms that I can, today I'll post new versions of AOSB and told me if you prefer AOKP or DU, Omni stills downloading because my family power off my computer and all the sync goes to the trash but if I can I build Omni today.
Thanks to you!!
Had you asked me 2 days ago which ROM I would prefer you to work on, it would have been AOKP. That has been the same answer for 3 years. My favorite, then Liquid Smooth.
However, your AOSB is incredible. GPS seemed to work, I just need to try the voice navigation. Everything else is smooth as silk. I will try to reinstall Dirty Unicorns later, but for now, this is amazing.
Keep up the great work, and again, thank you!

First of all, thanks for your ROMs, its great to have the possibility to choose from so many variations.
My question (sorry if this has already been asked): Do you think its possible to build a cm-12 version for the RAZR? I just checked all (I think) relevant repositories in cyanogenmods github, they all now include a cm-12 branch...
