Best Note 3 case out there!!!!! - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

It is a little pricey, but this case is amazing. I got the black frame with silver back.

By watching his other videos and seeing him basically laugh at people who can't afford a $100 case and also in the comments he posts to attack his viewers just because their point of view differs from his.

I'm not talking about this video in particular. He posts some pretty nasty comments to his viewers, and personally I can't respect anyone who treats others like the way he does. But anyway, I'm not trying to hijack this thread. I've tried aluminum cases and bumpers before and they all interfere with signal reception. Also, it interferes with wireless charging capabilities. It straight up doesn't work if you have some kind of metal between the phone's receiver coil and charger. With a premium finish case like that, I'd be worried about scratching up the case as well. Personally, I'm not too worried about physical damage, so I opt for one of those 3mm thin cases on ebay for $1. They provide good scratch protection but offer little impact protection.

I can't imagine a case of that magnitude NOT affecting signal...
Looks amazing though!

Sure, but they also supply the same crap (like what's in OP's link) to multiple companies who then put their own brand on it. What's in OP's link is the same thing as the one I linked, but with other writing on the back.

Not at all man. I purchased a fake Element Case for my iPhone from that site for $15. It was a piece of ****. I then paid $90 for a real Element Case, and it was absolutely amazing.
You analogy is like saying your Payless shoes are just as good as Nike.

So then write up an actual review and tell us why instead of just posting someone else's youtube video and telling us $$$ = quality. Better yet, buy that fake case and let us know what the differences are.

No. That's not what I'm saying. I looked at that websites other cases and all they sell are the same things you find on aliexpress, except at much more than double the cost. Look for yourself. I'm telling you it's the same exact thing, not a knockoff.

I'm not retarded I know they sell fakes. They have the fake spigen neo for $4. But you've taken what I said and flipped it around to make yourself sound right. I told you what OP linked for $53 is the same thing found on aliexpress for $18. You've gone off and you're talking about a case I don't know or care about. Does aliexpress sell a copy of a $90 case? Most likely, but that's not the case in point.
I'm done now.

Not all chinese products are good quality. There's definitely a lot of low quality knockoffs. But you should be more informed about what kind of products you are buying. A good example are computer power supplies. There are only a handful of hardware manufacturers and OEMs simply buy them and slap their names on it. Big names like Seasonic and Corsair do this along with other much cheaper names you've never heard of. It is exactly the same product though. If you want people to take you seriously, post something of value. I have bought all kinds of things from Ali Express and some knockoffs are better than you think. Jewelery, electronics, clothes, all have knockoffs but some are actually quite good. If you post a review contrasting the differences between the genuine and knockoff, I'm sure a lot of people here would be interested in reading that. Me included. Don't pull a flossy carter and attack people. Post something informative that the community can appreciate.

[Q] Case from amazon uk - which one?

I plan to get 16GB TF + dock.
I suppose it would be smart to get a case and maybe a foil at the same time.
So, which one should i buy?
Any one has one of these?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/TheTechTree...EO3Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308686183&sr=8-1
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Navitech-Ge...QM/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1308686183&sr=8-12
Can you recommend a foil for the screen?
The Navitech one is for a xoom, so it is probably the wrong size. I think the transformer is a bit wider than the xoom.
The TechTree one has not been released yet, so nobody has it to try. Does look interesting though!
Oh! Neither is likely to fit with the dock connected to the transformer as it lays over the screen of the transformer(I assume you mean the keyboard)

two cases on amazon uk
Hi guys,
I'm looking for reviews of the two cases available on amazon uk.
1. black leather case;
2. Navitech case. I think but I'm not sure if this is the case that is mentioned here.
If anyone can give me any feedback that would be nice.

This thing has gorilla glass, and based on my experiences with the epic its basically indestructible. Any screen protection would undoubtedly have an effect on the touch responsiveness so there's no way i'm putting anything on there.
Just my 2c... there are always people claiming they brushed their screen against a magazine and it got scratched to hell. Personally, I don't see it as being possible.

TBH, I have no idea what that statement means... What has you worried?
Also, I'm almost certain that the tablet in the pictures is not asus, because of the soft buttons visible on some of them. But I don't care, if it does not fit, that is their problem, because they will get it back as quickly as I can send it. And I will still expect my expenses to be covered.

Why Worried?
Because to me it looks like an ipad2 case photoshopped with a transformer screen. As the iPad2 is a differant shape Id hope it was a mockup until they get the real ones.
Ive been caught like that before and it was going to cost me money to send it back and they tried to charge a restocking fee. I dont think they can legally do this in the UK, but you might have to provide a reciept for the postage and get them to agree to pay return postage first. (Fortunately I was able to sell the item for what I paid myself)

I also had very bad experience with customer service @ Cruzerlite . There was a problem with my order, was supposed to be fixed. I was promised a refund, then never got another response. I emailed them over and over, NOT EVEN A SINGLE RESPONSE. The case I got from them I use on my phone at work, because I don't want to ruin any of the decent cases I have. I also suggest as do previous posts, DO NOT waste your time with a company that has such piss poor customer service. I've also heard other people having issues receiving/using gift cards - DO NOT waste your time/money buying those for friends/family either ..... IMO.

I felt the same way so I bought another TPU case from ebay, and liked it better but it didn't protect the camera enough(camera stuck out past the case). I just recently bought one of the S-line TPU cases on ebay for $4.75 shipped and it's my favorite one yet. Here's one cheaper, but it's from China so the shipping could take a couple weeks: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HTC-EVO-4G-LTE-TPU-S-Line-Wave-Case-Black-/170881969914?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item27c95beefa#ht_662wt_1399
The Incipio NGP has me curious, though. I think I would probably like it even more, but I'm hesitant to spend $20+ on a case that I might not like as much as my $5 case.

So far, I haven't dropped mine, but my guess would be that they would perform the same. They seem to be about the same thickness. The s-line covers the buttons, but they work very well. Well worth the money and the wait (about 10 days). I ended up buying all four colors (white, black, purple and smoke). The smoke and the purple are transparent so the HTC logo and the aluminium sides show through.

I would probably say it would be better for drop protection than the Diztronic only because it covers the buttons and seems to stick out a little bit further past the screen around the edges.

The little phone-case hut @ your local mall

So after finding basically one retailer (bestbuy) who sells anything close to acceptable protection for the note in my area i found myself in the mall sunday morning. Suddenly im gazing at cases and sparkly covers for seemingly every handset known to man.
Uh-oh ive been spotted, the little man behind the counter spots me and we lock eyes. He sees: a guy with money he wants, a roadrunner for the coyote. I see: a hobbit at another useless mall kiosk. How the hell does sears and spencer gifts keep this place open?
He asks what can he help me with, there is a gunslinger tension as i wrestle to pull the monster from my pocket and give him a glimpse. Lets see what youve got for this, i say with a smirk. Surely if Attparty cant stock cases, screen protectors and assesories for their OWN product this mr. Miagi look alike cant either?
Ooooo galaxy note! Here! He pulled out a couple excellent cases, i bought a two piece which snaps together, and he applied a very nice screen protector.
How many times ive dismissed or laughed at these phone "huts" ,... finally good for something.
Sorry for the story, i was totally stoned on hash and i swear this is how it went down. Hahaha

thanks for the story.
.
another quote..
"These kiosks are way over-priced. "
this is true. when you look to ebay and amazon, they are way over priced...
BUT.. these kiosk operators regularly bargain down..
Try it.. They will haggle and almost always cave in..
lets say a typical TPU case on ebay and amazon goes for maybe 8-10 bucks shipped..
the kiosk guy wants 20..... haggle him down to 17.... the when he says ok.... you open your wallet and show the entire contents of 14$$. ( you purposely stuffed 14 ONLY in there as you cased the case prior to speaking with him)
Now he sees that he's cleaned out your wallet of all your 14 bucks... leaving yoou with 0000
Guess what?? He takes it! Done deal..
as you walk away with your new case.. you re-stuff your wallet with the cash you had stuffed into your other front pocket!!!

There are so many TPU cases you can buy for less than $5 with free shipping from ebay. Even $14 is too much for a TPU case.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?LH_B...t=PDA_Accessories&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=10&_udhi
$10 or more, you can get few cases, screen protector, charger and other accessories.
If you are trying to cheap out on a case, $14 TPU case is not a good deal.

I had a very similar experience at my local mall(I wasn't stoned on hash, unfortunately). A couple years back I bought a cheap rubber case for my Captivate. I don't remember it being overpriced, but I don't know, I bought it on a whim.
After I got my Note I started shopping around for a case. Turns out the same kiosk had an actual Otterbox. I don't remember what I paid for it, but it was comparable to prices I found online.

Yes, I realize this, but when you're in a pinch they're a good place to find something fast. When I first got my Note I went straight to the mall cause I was NOT about to leave it naked for 3-5 business days while I waited for a case to arrive, or pay $40 for a case in the AT&T store. $15 for peace of mind is cheap, IMO.

Anyway. I paid 43 bucks for a "speck" case that snaps on. It will get me by till I get a better one. I have thirty days to return it (which I most likely will)
Blah

Lew Later Case

After waiting for about 4wks due to the current situation, it has arrived....:good:
For those that like slim fit this is the one to go for or the Pitaka, the feel on this one is different and must say absolutely fantastic.....:good:
Highly recommended.
Is it a bumper case? Based on the picture it looks like it.
Can you take a picture of the bottom/front? I like it when the bottom of the case is cut out for smoother thumb swiping on the actual screen.
Sure thing here is the top & bottom.......:good:
LOL how big is your hand...your pic of your hand holding the ultra looks like my hand holding the smallest s20 LOL which is kinda thr reason why i got the s20.

Hahaha the reason I went Ultra , I have rather large hands........?
Thanks for sharing! Personally, I need the magcase to fit into my ecosystem. Also I do not like the wide opening on top and bottom, the Pitaka cases are way better in this regard.
Also, I will never forget how shady this Lew treated Pitaka - I tend to have a long memory in such regards. For that reason I will not buy a latercase.

I generally don't like magcase.. I noticed it affects compass, gps and occasionally phone signals.
Used it on my older phone, the note 8.

Thanks for the pictures. What about the lens? Are they covered fully protected? or if you put it on a flat surface they will touch the surface together with the case?

Should not be the case (lol), as the case itself has no magnets whatsoever - I am using them since the S8 and never had any issues.
But then, there is always the pitaka aircase without the metal plates.

As the pictures show, it just covers the camera bump, but offers no protection on the lenses themselves. Its designed to be a slim fit case which I much much prefer .....:good:

LOL you got scammed my dude! You just bought a chinese white label case, over @ aliaxpress available for 1$ from the most disgusting, lying tech youtuber for 40$ Lew just scammed you out of 39$ with it's bootleg design case. Also there are better 0,3mm (thiner) cases out there that look&feel the same for 1$ also with a waiting time of 4wks due to it coming from china like this 40$ case. Lew wen to a chinese manufacturer and made him produced these, each costs him just a few cents to make, but sells them to his braindead audience who gobble this shiat up like nothing with a 9999999% mark up. Making that easy money.
Duncan if I was you, I would not tell people that you got that case. I would keep it to my self and think about the decisions I make.

Nope, the Pitaka Magcase has no magnets, only very thin metal plates embedded in a way th allow and not disturb wireless charging. The magnets are in the Pitaka Car Holder, e.g..
The Pitaka Aircase has no metal plates embedded and is even thinner.

forgive me for getting involved - - but I wondered why you felt it necessary to attack the way you did? Why not just share the information you have without the attitude (and desparging comments intended to make the OP feel bad about his choice) why not just share the facts and give the OP a chance to either accept or reject it? Why do you feel like you have to attack the way you did ?
not cool at all - and totally unnecessary.
It is great to offer advise and share information in a helpful way - but we all should really try treat people the way we want to be treated.

Where are the nibs?

First, who makes a decent replacement nib?
Second, why doesn't Samsung sell replacement nibs?
Third, why does the S7+ only come with one?
Fourth, why hasn't Samsung done anything to resolve the confusing mess they created surrounding pens and nibsr? Seriously, if the S7+ weren't such an awesome tablet, I'd dump it in favor of something with better support. I could almost hear the frustration in the agent's voice when I called Samsung, "Oh, no! Not the nib again!!!" And since they can't sell me nibs, they suggested that I buy a new pen. That amounts to $60 for one nib.
Help an old man understand all this, please?
These?: B08HVNVND1
Amazon. Cheap. They're nothing special; the OEM ones are just nylon. As long as the replacement are the same dimensions you should be ok. Nibs are generally very long lived.

Thanks for your reply, blackhawk. While I appreciate you taking the time to respond, it doesn't solve the equation. There must be a go-zillion nibs on Amazon. Most of which have very poor reviews. And to be certain, the OEM nibs are not just nylon. The tips are of a very distinctly different material which gives it a rubbery, grippy quality that is very different than just nylon.
Right after I posted this query, it became immediately obvious that I'm not alone in this endeavor. I didn't bother to count how many times this topic has been created. But I am by no means the first.

OEM ones are nylon, pretty sure about that. There are different types of nylon as well. My N10+'s came with 2 replacement nibs and extractor; Samsung* should have done you the same favor. Still on the original nib.
First hit I got on Amazon had a 4.5 star rating. Of course that's no guarantee it is the same.
Try ifixit. They are now partnered with Samsung.
*Samsung tech support is horrible. Been like that for many years
I did not know ifixit had partnered with Sammy. That's good to know. Thanks for the education.

They still don't seem to have OEM batteries at least for the N10+. It seems they started with more recent Samsung releases so bare that in mind. A lot of the junk coming out of China is well, junk.
Maybe Ebay. A crap shoot. Throw money at it until you find some that work. That's how I handle it. A learning curve, such great fun... not.
Is it any wonder I have no desire to buy a newly released Samsung? I know better... I know Samsung Samsung has always been hit or miss; the last 3 years for their flagship phones have been misses, some are epic fails at that.

I had to chuckle at that. Ironic because the S7+ ain't exactly new. Yet there's a small army of us looking for nibs that are OEM or at least close.

Last Samsung I bought was another N10+ a year ago. I have two I bought new. These are great devices; Samsung is very capable if they get their rabid hamsters on the same page in the same book. Otherwise especially recently, they are fubar.
I gave up on OEM batteries for the N10+ and now just make sure it's rated for 4300 mAh. Some on Ebay are selling used original batteries... yeah that will get it.
"Used original"
Hmm... What's wrong with that picture.
