Cm11 has it's fault, it is the fastest ROM available. Sometimes Bluetooth doesn't work, but other than that its good.

miniCM7.2-2.1.8 (at DEVELOPMENT state) already have theses cool ICS transitions
but the idea was nice ;-)
(and maybe the result is better?)

miniCM7.2-2.1.8 wooooooooooooooow, we will wait for it.
Im trying this framework
I didn´t know, but is cool meanwhile (?) the rom comes
All night, eh? Well, I'm impressed by your dedication.
Like I promised, here are two update zips flashable by CWM.
One uses your framework-res file to give ICS transitions.
The other adds my circular battery mod.
Remember, guys...always make a backup first!

Hmm. It's possible. This update.zip replaces your framework-res.
If the one in that theme is significantly different from the standard framework, it could cause issues.
But, there's always a way! If you could share your framework-res.apk we can put the transitions and battery animation on it. :-D
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
Ok. My framework-res in attach files.
and if u can, create 2 versions plz. 1st - with transitions only and 2nd - transitions+battery.
Thx a lot.
Well, artistically it's a very nice theme and I give the original themer 10 out of 10 for it.
From a technical perspective though, they only get 1. When they put it together, they didn't include any .9 patches in the .9 png's. Which basically means it won't compile, even before you start to think about modifying it.
I think I've fixed it though. Try the attached and let us know if it works out for you.

You should not use this mod, because version 2.1.8 already have the ICS animations. Flashing MiniCM wil be the easiest way to solve your problem

Sure it is. It's the ICS transitions that may be a problem. As far as I know, you can put a circular battery on pretty much any Android phone!

Well, two possible ways really.
You could either follow this guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849223. This tells you how to start theming your phone and is very helpful but can take a while to get the hang of it.
Or..I could do it for you. All you need to do is share your framework-res.apk file.

Porting ROMs from other devices?

I asked this over in Android General and I was pointed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598713
Could anyone confirm if this would allow porting of a ROM like HTC Sense to the Xperia?
I posted this here as I reckon that if it is indeed possible, it could be of some use to the dev community in here. If not, mods can delete this
Our phone only has 480mb internal storage.
HTC Sense is well over 1gb just for the ROM.
Sent from R800x
that's wron
a normal sense 4.0a rom needs 420mb system partition
our is only 300mb.
so we need to decrease the zip (remove apps) and move some apps to /data in zip.
then symlink /data
and then we can go porting it
I would use a Sense 4 rom , I'm going to mess around later lol.

I know what the error is. I need to jump into Linux to unpack the kernel and edit the init.rc file (Only possible on Linux).
Going to flash back to MIUI temporarily to move the files onto my SD card to shift them onto Linux. Going to do that a bit later on as Im going to be a bit busy. If I get anything working I'll PM you and Dropbox the ROM for you to try If all comes back working, I'll release it to the general users
This will hopefully be my first ROM development
Tried again and can't get past the kernel screen.
Back to the drawing board. Gonna try a Samsung CM7 build now
Having no luck with this. Any devs with more knowledge than me feel free to take over

[U] Custom boot animation with KitKat logo

Hey XDA,
This is my first ever post here and I'm going to share a boot animation I made for the Xperia U. I think this will work on the Xperia Sola too, as it has the same resolution (480x854). Im not able to add images because I don't have 10 posts yet, but I included a preview in the archive (in the attachment).
How to install
1. Extract the file (you will get bootanimation.zip and preview.gif)
2. Copy bootanimation.zip to your phone.
3. Move it into /system/media (you might want to rename the original bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak or something like that)
4. Change permissions to rw-r--r-- (you can do this with root browser)
5. Reboot your phone to see it!
I hope you like it! :good:

I'd like to make one for Xperia P but I'm not 100% sure if it would work if I just change the resolution, and I don't have that phone to test it on. However here is the guide I used: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993710
I used GIMP for editing the logo and After Effects CC for animation it and exporting it as frames.
