[Q] Help Needed For BusyBox and Updates - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, well i have a problem lately i rooted my phone Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Android Version 4.1.2 and well i was checking if my phone rooted or not in some root checker programs and they say no busybox. should i install busybox or phone would work just fine without it? i have no problem gaining access to titanium, helium or other programs which needs root.
And Someday i couldnt log in google play and gmail account so i read in forums that its fixed if i delete hosts file from System/etc well i deleted it and it works grand now but when i check System/etc there is no hosts file anymore even tho they said phone will create a hosts file after you delete it and log in google play again. so will it cause any trouble if i have no hosts file? i can now log in google play or gmail and having no problem with internet
and the last question is my phone is custom after rooted and i cant check for updates is it normal? and sometimes it turns to official when i restart my phone. maybe it is something cause of i have no host file?

[Q] [Help] Root Explorer and Root Manager not working

I've looked around the boards and haven't found someone with this problem yet, and if I am in a wrong form I apologise, new at posting.
Ok here's the problem: On my Xperia Play which is rooted I am trying to install the walkman music player via this tutorial on xperia gamer: (new user can't submit url, so look it up if curious or relevant)
I am trying to move the apk from my sd card to /System/App and it looks like it pasted it, however there is no trace of the file, and if I move instead of copy there is no trace in the source folder either.
When I try and change permissions in the apk it always reverts back as well.
In superuser both file browsers are in the logs and if I remove their SU privileges they ask for them again.
This happens the same way in both file browsers so I'm not sure what to make of this.
Ideas anyone?
This is probably a common problem. This happens due to superuser app. Try installing supersu by chainfire and see whether the problem persists our not.
If the problem persists reinstall busybox
Before following all the above steps you can simply try updating the superuser app

Ok it appeared to be a problem with my busybox install. Everything working perfectly now. Thanks for the help!
ok I recently had to restore my kernel and rom, and this problem now exists again. Updated busybox, Installed Supersu and various different root browsers. Problem Still persists. Anyone have an Idea?

Google play apps for nokia x

Hi guys, I have a kind of problem with my aunt's nokia x, She told me to install google play apps, I did it by downloading the Kasha_Maga_Gapps. It was an outdated version, when i turned on my aunt's wifi, google play apps updated automatically, but when i tried updatng google play games, I was unable to do so, I wonder why. when I downloaded the latest version I had to put it into System/app/ folder. root explorer shows that it cant be moved, I found out reason was that it needed permission change, but even root explorer phone failed to do so. any help? please:good::good::good:
