Plants vs Zombies backup - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to backup plants vs zombies(the first one, not the sequel)?
I tried with titanium backup and I manually backed up the folder com.popcap.pvz from both /data/data and /sdcard/Android/data.
With these methods the game crashes or asks me to create a new profile(which means it doesn't recognise the savegames).
Is there any way to securely back it up?
I'm on a nexus 7(2012), stock android 4.4.2

Sorry for old bump but I have this issue also, it is the only game that does not want to backup with error. I tried backing normally or installing the app and restoring the data but both still lead to fc. I flash alot so I cannot keep the progress for the game which is annoying...

[Q] How do you back up your saved games

With all the flashing of different roms i'm wondering how you guys backup saved games, for example Angry Birds.
I've used Titanium Backup to backup the game and data but on restoring the saved game isn't at the level it should be. Needless to say all my gaming hard work is gone if i flash a wipe rom
Any better way to back up my gaming progress?

I use Titanium Backup too and it restores my save games. I did twice a data wipe with CMW. I even flashed to 2.3.4 which erased my data too but all the games have still their saves. I just checked it with Angry Birds to see whether there is a problem regarding this game, however everthings fine. All progress is stored.
So just try do back it up again with TB. I suggest you execute several of the Batch scripts just to be sure.
I Use titanium too, backup just before install the new rom i never had any problem with backups
Test with angry birds , alchemy, singeons defenders . Ok for both these games
After a restoring batch you can redo restore data only

[Q] Transfer titanium backups between devices

Im trying to copy my backups of angry birds and other games from my Verizon Galaxy Tab to my SGS 2. Both are rooted and have titanium backup installed. I tried to copy the files over but cant get it to work. I read other threads but none had clear directions for me to follow.
Can someone show me how to copy a titanium backup from my tab to my sgs2 and have the apps work with game data preserved?
Thanks in advance
Put your backup files in /sdcard/titaniumbackup.
If titanium backup still does not see them, then uninstall titanium backup and reinstall it. It should show up.
tried that. I guess im not doing something right.
I copy the file titanium backup from the tab to the sd card on the tab. then I take that file and copy the contents and paste in the titanium backup folder on the sgs2 but it still doesnt move the angry birds stats over. hmm guess i just got to play the levels all over again
But it is seeing the backups? Then try restoring data only after you installed angry birds.

PC Suite backing up apps

Hi All,
I am using Android from the past 2 years but never really came across any PC Suite like applications that allows to backup apps data/game data. I recently found wondershare Mobilego, a PC application which can backup app apk files but that also comes with bugs, it will not restore always. I had a Iphone 3Gs before and must say backup and restoring was a child's play.
Please let me know if we have something of that sort for Backing up and restore or easier way of backup, not Titanium backup as it does not backup all apps like asphalt 6. Each time I flash a new ROM I have to download 540mb of game data.

I think you're doing something wrong... Are you wiping all user data when you flash another ROM? I have Let's Golf 3 on my phone and when I update to a new ROM I don't loose the 900Mb of additional data of the game.
Usually the game data is saved to /sdcard so if you don't format it, you shouldn't loose it.
A possible workaround for this issue could be the use of a manual backup script to save /data and /sdcard files (Do a tar and gzip to those folders and download to your PC).
Thanks for the reply but do we have any PC suite app for backing up.

[Q] Cannot backup game data

I have used Titanium Backup and also the App-Manager plugin for ROM Toolkit (Both very good apps) but neither seem to backup game data for games such as Angry Birds Space. Meaning that when I flash a new ROM and I restore my apps with whatever application I used to back it up, that the data isnt restored. Its a bit annoying. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem, and if so, if they found a solution?
Cheers

[Q] Backing up a game (Arc:Redux)

So I am playing this game Arc:Redux on my Note 4 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Psyonix.ArcSquadron&hl=en
I have backed up my phone previously with Titanium (rooted) and when i installed on a new ROM, my backup (the level I was on or on any of my gameplay purchased gear) was not restored. I tried multiple times to get the game back to where I was, even tried restoring my TWRP backup of the original ROM itself. I was not able to restore the data.
The game does have a Google Plus sign in, but that just seems to be for Experience points and not gameplay saving.
I since started fresh on the game and have resisted all new updates to new ROMs because I don't want to lose my current standing in the game.
But now I have a new Samsung Tablet I want to play this game with. I again tried to backup and then restore on the tablet using Titanium. It didnt work. I then tried using DataSync. Still didnt work. I also complained on the game company's forum and Google Play link, and have not received any answer.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Not sure if this will work but I would try connecting the device via usb to your computer copy the game files before doing the update then if you lose your game data replace the game files on with the ones on your computer.

Well, Titanium is doing exactly that. It's backing up the game files and then I am restoring them to the new device. It's not working.
