[Q] Note 2 wireless charge not working - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello,
Quick question about the wireless charge terminals. I am on a stockish 4.3 software (Beanstown official stock 4.3 root).
I used the copper tape method to make board contact, but have not been able to get the charging to initiate. I tested connectivity on the contacts and the Duracel powermat EVO 4G charger outputs ~5.04 volts.
Is this disabled on the newest firmware? Is anyone running a stock 4.3 rom with a working wireless charge mod?
I know that the t-mobile board needs a hardhack to add the 5v charge wire, but I did not think this was needed with the verizon note 2.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Ray

I haven't been able to get the Note 2 to charge wireless either. I get green lights on the charger and the QI pack connected to the phone.

[Q] Is the SGSII Charger modified like the SGSI?

Hello all,
Recently purchased a Galaxy S II coming from the first one, liking it alot.
Just wondering, does anyone know if Samsung modified the charger as they did with the original?
I'm not sure on the specifics of what they did, something along the lines of shorting out the data lines on the USB which would let the phone know it's a official charger and let it charge at full speed.
TL;DR can I use any USB charger to charge at full speed?
Thanks,
Spectre
My other android phone chargers (the one I have from my HTC Hero) charge as fast as the original actually!

You could use ANY Micro USB charger connector. However if you use a USB cable, it won't do at full speed charging.
The stock charger only outputs 700mA so with a stock kernel that lets the phone draw more (Its capped to like 650mA), upto 1A and a 1A charger it will charge a lot faster.
Gets a bit hotter while doing it though, nothing to be to worried about.
YMMV/not my fault if it explodes/etc

[Q] Charging issue?

My notes charging time is extremely slow. I leave it on the charger for 2 hours and it is only at 12% and for it to be 100% i have to leave it over night. like 12 hours. no water damage. never dropped. is there a way to fix it by software or something? please help. i am running 2.3.6 Kernal 2.6.35.11 build gingerbread.ucla1
Use the stock charger and cable. The ones that came with the phone.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA

I have the same problem but nobody can help me! (except mine is only when I'm using a usb extension cable)
The Note is near tablet in power draw and needs a "fast charge" charger which basically means that the data pins on the cable are shorted to tell the phone it's a wall charger. The stock charger has this and some aftermarket chargers. As far as the extension not working I would bet that the added length adds too much resistance and the phone doesn't see it as shorted anymore, you may be able to make it work with a higher quality cable.

I've tried 3 different USB extension cables... I just ordered a single 6 foot charging cable for the i717 from eBay so we shall see!

Cant get QI charging to work

Hi,
I bought a quick circle case to go with my f400k. The case came directly from Korea and the pins look like they match up.
I am trying to charge with this cheap charger:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/28136049...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
The charger has a blue light which switches on when I place the G3 on it but the G3 doesn't charge.
Does this sound like a fault with the case / charger or phone? I am running Sphinx 1.0 if software can make a difference.
I don't have any other QI devices or charges so can't really test.
Thanks
Are you plugging it into a USB port or a wall charger? I had one really cheap qi charger that wouldn't charge very well in a USB hub, if at all. But works ok(not great) when plugged in wall.
I have tried both. Out of interest did your cheap charger have a LED and if so did it only come on when the phone was actually charging?
No it has a light on all the time, and changes when charging.

[Q] s3 charging issues

hey guys hope this is the right place.
my s3 has decided to stop charing, it says its charging but not doing nothing, the port has gone.
my question is if i buy the wireless charging kit, will the phone charge that way by not using the port?
Install galaxy Charging Current from Play Store
and verify charging values.
Try with another usb cable or charger.

If the port is broken and won't charge then yes you can charge it with a wireless mod. If you take the battery cover off there are 2 gold pins the wireless pad connects to that charge your battery.

[Q] Wireless charging under CM11

I got an OEM Qi backplate and charging base for Xmas and was super excited to use it. I haven't had wireless charging since my Palm Pre and have sorely missed it. Get everything laid out and ready to go, drop my phone, and it states it is charging and the pad confirms power is flowing. Come back on hour later; not only did it not charge, it ran my battery down faster than it would if it sat idle. So I try it with the LG OEM charger and cable. Once again, no dice, but at least it didn't run it down faster than at idle.
For grins, I found a friend who has a stock VS985, and tried the same exact charger and cable with my backplate. Of course it works. I searched high and low, far and wide on Google to no avail on an answer why CM11 fails to charge wirelessly.
Here's what I've got:
- VS985 running CM11 nightly 20141225.
- Anker Wireless Qi Base.
- LG OEM Qi backplate, charger and cable.
Any ideas what I can do to resolve this? TIA.
