Accessories for Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Mirco USB 3.0 Port - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Accessories

Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Comes with following accessories:
USB Wall Charger
Micro USB 3.0 Cable
S-Pen
The data charge port is the same as galaxy note 3 and galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition.
So how can we take full advantage of Mirco USB 3.0 Port.
The uppermost idea in my mind is your can get an USB 3.0 OTG cable for it. Then you can use a USB mouse or wireless mouse or read your u disk.
What else accessories come to your mind? Add them here and share with us.

You can use micro USB cables with the USB 3 slot on the NotePro.... cross compatible!!!

came here to say the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Pens do work with the Note Tablets, especially the eraser on the other end. I also own a micro usb 3 otg cable and can confirm it works with cameras, flash drives, hard drives, mice, keyboards, and ethernet adapters

Anyone know about the ethernet adapter? Allows for lan cables (rj45) on the note...
Charlie
Update:...i t seems that any ethernet adapter will work. I literally picked one from amazon...works fine.
Update2: The otg cable mentioned above works beautifully

I ordered this cable from Amazon. Will report back if it works ok:

I have something similar to the proposed samsung port unit (not available yet)...all 3 usb3 ports work; the rj45 port does not. If I plug the lan cable into one of the 3 usb ports, it works fine.
I wonder how many levels of attachments usb3 can handle. Is it different for a tablet than a pc/mac?

It works quite well. You will get an indication that ethernet is connected. Haven't done a comparison between it and wifi, but, yes it another option
charlie

Yes
I bought micro usb3 otg cable mentioned above and usb to ethernet adapter (in my case from apple store). Works just fine. Just make sure you are not using usb3 to ethernet adapter. It probably will not be supported . ( I was trying 'J5 create' usb 3.0 gigabit ethernet adapter - no success)

Actually, the usb3 to ethernet adapter DOES work...at least for me. It is what I'm using now. Can also be used as part of a 3 port unpowered hub

I did a speed test Wifi vs 100 Meg Ethernet.
Wifi:
100 Meg Ethernet:
I have yet to find a USB3->GigE that works with this tab. My latest attempt was below. It works fine as a USB 3 hub, but the Ethernet port is not supported on the P900. It does work on my Surface Pro so I may keep it.

Which Ethernet Adapter?

Hello Guys
I'm thinking about buying a Ethernet Adapter. Is there only the Samsung USB Hub working or are there other brands compatible with the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 LTE? Could you recommend me something? Is there any speed difference between a usb 2.0 and 3 0?
Is it possible to charge the tablet if it is connected to a Ethernet USB Hub?
Thanks everybody

I watch TV through a website. At the same time, charge the device through the Ethernet USB Hub. My experience is that the device lose power faster than charging. I am not sure but maybe it is faster to charge by directly plugging the cable to the Note PRO than through the Ethernet USB Hub.
i bought the hub with 2 usb 1 ethernet and the charge port, it works well

With make, model and links would be best.

Micro-USB plug hub with Ethernet

Does a micro-USB hub with ethernet that has at least 3 USB ports exist? I despise chaining a bunch of dongles, so I'd like to see if an all-in-one solution exists:
- micro-USB cable attached to the dongle so it can plug straight into the GNP
- Ethernet port (my experience is that wifi sucks on the GNP)
- 3 USB plugs for flash drive, keyboard/touchpad combo, Flirc.
The closest I found is this Samsung dongle (the price used to be $25 but it went up, can still be found around $17 on ebay shipped from China though), but it only has 2 USB ports and I'm not sure that it would actually work with the GNP:

(may be an excellent solution for someone looking just for 1-2 USB ports)

It would be great if it had a micro-USB connector rather than a standard one, to avoid yet another adapter cable.
I dont think that will work. My friend got one and I plugged it into my tablet that has a standard USB slot and ethernet didn't work. I bought a USB (standardsize) to ethernet adapter works fine on my tablet. Now I need a standard to micro adapter

WORKING Insignia USB3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet

Picked these up locally at Best Buy. Plug and Play. Finally this box is working like it should.. No more buffering and wifi cut outs.. Its almost like a brand new machine.. I highly urge anyone with buffering and wifi issues to pick one up.
Which OTG cable are you using to hook this up to your Nexus Player?

I had bought a verbatim usb stick at the local office depot that came with the OTG adapter.

I had bought the OTG a while back for another project but i imagine any adapter should work.
Nice. I misread and thought this was an USB hub by Insignia. My local Best Buy carries an Belkin USB 3.0 hub with ethernet which I might get since I could use the USB ports for both a mouse (TWRP) and media storage. Thanks for the heads up.

I would except one thing... the ethernet port on it doesn't work at all with the Nexus Player. So not really worth picking up.
The item i referenced in the top post is the only item i was able to find locally at a brick and mortar type store that would work with the nexus.
Bummer

The Gigabit Ethernet adapter on this three way USB3.0 hub works fine through an OTG cable, although from memory it didn't start working until after I'd performed the 5.1.1 upgrade.
Although you obviously only get USB2 (480Mbps) speeds as thats all NP USB2.0 port can handle.
This enables my combined USB Bluetooth Mouse/Keyboard adaptor to work fine and and leaves free USB slots for additional USB local storage devices ie flash drives not any devices which require powering, otherwise you'll be better of buying a powered USB hub.

A5 ’17 USB OTG: a little research

One of the things I’m really amazed by with the modern PDAs is the USB OTG. So just as I found out that my Galaxy has it, I got myself an adapter (for less than $3) and tested it with several devices. Here’re my results:
USB flash drives: every single one I tried worked perfectly except a 1 GB drive of unknown vendor, which wasn't even recognized by the Galaxy, works okay with PCs thought.
External HDDs: the Toshiba 500 GB USB 3.0 drive wasn't recognized and didn't show any signs of life. Surprisingly, a 320 GB SATA WD Blue in a USB bay was detected and spinned up, but the Galaxy didn't recognize the file system and asked if I want to format it. I didn't, since the disk had some data I needed, but there's definitely a potential.
Input devices: all the mice and keyboards I tried worked as they should, both wired and wireless, which was expected. Which wasn't, is that DualShock3 controller from my PS3 was immediately recognized too without any additional drivers or software, it even let me control the menus. Sadly, that wasn't the case with my Logitech Freedom 2.4 wireless joystick. I guess the power wasn't enough.
Output devices: Sennheiser wired USB headset (basically, the USB sound adapter with the headset attached) worked as it should. HP LaserJet P1102 printer didn't work even with USB printing service installed.
Overally, I got much more then I dreamed of, especially since I heard that the OTG is very poor on a modern devices. DualShock3 success is especially cool.
This is quite weird as I have tried the original Samsung Micro USB OTG adapter, with the little white USB-C adapter and it did not work. This is on A3 2017.
There were rumors that USB OTG was disabled. Which adapter do you have?

The rumors aren't true. The thing is, Type-C uses a different pinout for OTG, so it shouldn't be a combo of Type-C to Micro and Micro to Type-A OTG, it should be a special Type-C to Type-A OTG adapter. The adapter that comes with the device is good for charging only, or so I heard. I’ll photo my adapter, but I got it for almost nothing in a local computers store.

Very interesting. A different pinout for OTG. Yeah I thought it was the combo that shoud have worked.
The little adapter comes with the device is said to be charge and sync. Because when connected to my PC it works. for data transfer.

Here’s the one I got. The site is in Russian, but the pictures are self-explanatory.
I have an OTG now from Aliexpress. It works for my A3 2017. 90 degree angle connector.
Now onto an USB-C to HDMI. The official Samsung EE-HG950 does not work.

So if i understand correctly the little "micro usb connector" that comes with the A5 2017 won't work for anything other than charging? I tried using it with a regular otg cable and it doesn't detect any flash drive, not even a ps3 controller, i don't even get the notification that a usb is plugged in.
But whats weird is if i use a male to male usb cable and connect to to a pc it works just fine. Any idea whats causing this?
Please help. I have the same problem. I have newly bought a5 2017. I already have otg usb drive sandisk. The adapter type c included in the box didn't work fine. Except only for charging when connected to usb 2.0.
My usb otg drive will become useless if it doesn't read by my device. What should i do? Or how to activate maybe my otg support? Tnx in advance.

The adapter from the box is just for charging and data transfer to compuer. If you want to use your flasdisk you can buy a new usb otg for type c slot.

does mate 10 pro support Ethernet?

Funny, I have the Anker one, but with a USB-B port. Connected in a USB-C hub, that provides HDMI out, USB-C to charge and USB-B, in which I plugged this. While the lights flicker, nothing works. I tried plugging a USB memory stick, won't read it (my Anker adapter has USB 3.0 and gigabit ethernet). But, if I plug the key directly in the USB-B port of the USB-C hub, no problem. So somehow, that one does not work for me. Anyone else been able to get an adapter to work? At best, I want something like the Dell WD15. It's an overkill, but any alternative providing ethernet, hdmi, usb-b and a mean to charge like usb-c. A mix of video ports is even better, but not required.
