[Q] Restore to factory settings - Galaxy Note II N7105 Android Development

Hi, I have the N7105 from Hong Kong. I would like to restore all back to factory settings. I tried triangle away and stock roms. nothing seems to work. I just want to go back to the stock rom and use OTA updates. It seems there is no fully stable and unbloated stock rom running smoothly. Sorry I am new and dont understand all the CM roms and multiwindow roms. seems like users have a lot of problems so i dont wanna risk it.
Can someone explain to me how to go reset the flash counter (actually i was able to accomplish this once) and then also the device status inside android? so that i can do OTA updates?
I am currently on official Hong Kong stock 4.3 rom. flashed by desktop odin 3.04. flash counter shows 2 and device status official. however inside android device status is modified and cannot do ota updates.
If thats not possible, can someone suggest a barebones custom rom with no problems and bloatware? thanks. sorry if someone already answer this.

[Q] Flashing question

Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy S Advance with a Gingerbread 2.3.6 Android version installed and unrooted. The official Jelly Bean update was released in Russia a couple of days ago and I really wanna try it now. The question is, if I flash with the new stock ROM, will my device still be unrooted? Because when the update becomes available in my country I'd like to get it and still have my phone unrooted, I wouldn't like to void my warranty forever and thus would like to keep the OTA updates. Will I have to do something special or will it remain unrooted?

Some of the stock roms are pre- rooted, some not. Without a link or example I can say: try it out. Same websites offer the stock roms for samsung devices - that are completely stock version without root. If the russian rom comes pre- rooted there's a way back to your unrooted stock rom.
What's wrong with root?

Sorry for not providing bonus info. Wow actually xda does not want me to post outside links because I don't have enough posts yet.
However, this is the link of the ROM: sammobile . com/firmware/?page=8&view=10052 (it has some spaces)
I really don't know if it's pre-rooted, how can I find out?
And I actually don't know what's wrong with root, as I said I just don't want to void my warranty. If I have rooted phone will I still be able to receive OTA updates?

Sam mobile offers complete stock Roms. It's not rooted.
Another question: is it a contract phone? Sometimes the providers sell the phones with a provider customized firmware, but that's just a thought about how friendly their support team is.
Rooting won't break the ota rules on the most phones e.g.my nexus is rooted with stock ROM and I receive the normal ota but I could lose my root.
On the other hand if your actual stock ROM is on samfirmware you are nearly save to flash everything.
And just to add it again: AdamOutler made a xda news video about rooting and warranty, it could help you.
search for custom rom.. better than stock.. and no need to wait for updates

[Q] Updated to 4.4.2 I9205XXUDNE4 from 4.2.2 I9205XXUCNA3 and want to roll back

Hi!
As stated above, I tried updating to the Kit Kat Release for Portugal's I9205 from an asian I9205. Testing out the device, mobile data won't activate and gives me a "Please Insert SIM" error. Because of this, I wanted to roll back to 4.2.2 but seem to be encountering an error in ODIN, primarily one that says "Check Fail Fused 2 > Binary 1".
My question is, how would I be able to revert to 4.2.2? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, upgrading to KK is one way road... after installing KK there is not possible to downgrade because of new bootloader and efuse in kernel. If you want to go back to good old 4.2.2 let flash MegaFireV10 ROM from @ megalomanic14 which is greatly improved stock 4.2.2 and is already rooted. I could be flashed onto KK without consequences. Simple flashing back stock 4.2.2 could make your phone brick.
Oh, so there's no way for me to roll back? That sucks!
If I flash a new custom ROM, like LiquidSmooth, would my ability to use my mobile data be restored? What's affecting it at any rate? The Modem? Is there anything I could flash that could help?
Would restoring it via KIES work?

trul3 is giving good advice!!! flash the Megafire v10 rom..it looks and feels like the stock 4.2.2 rom with a few extra apps on it..
You'll be pleased and just May get your mobile data restored!
good luck
I did a Nandroid backup and restored that after trying NE4. The only change is the baseband is now NE4 but I am back on MH2. Is this not normal?

Question Regarding Deodexed T-Mobile S5 ROM...

I am looking to flash the Deodexed Rooted ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...t/how-to-update-to-g900tof6-5-1-1-pc-t3141404
I am wondering something about it. Obviously I know it comes without all the crap apps on it that just take up space. My question is, if I flash this in my TWRP (currently running Pure N5 Port ROM) can I get official over the air updates from T-Mobile should they have any or will it not work?
Which ROM would I have to flash to get OTA updates from T-Mobile?
Just the basic STOCK ROM?
If I flash the STOCK ROM can I root my phone and get rid of the bloatware and still get the OTA updates from T-Mobile?
If anyone can help me and explain this all to me I would be forever grateful. For as much as I love the Pure N5 Port ROM I am having a few issues with it. One being speaker during a call does not work for more than a few minutes. No matter who I call the other person on the other end after a few minutes has a really hard time understanding me as I sound distorted.
Anyway thanks again to all for reading and thanks to anyone that can help!
You have to be on stock unrooted to be able to install official ota files, but you can always just install the corresponding Odin firmware file when an update comes out if you need to be rooted and/or on a custom ROM

update rooted offical rom

Guys , i have a question , since im running stock android 8.x rooted how do i update that with odin without a full format ?
Or is it update able via twrp ?
Also another question , it never bothered me but since there barly no custom roms, is it possible to restore knox ? So i can go back fully stock
Nothing you can do will get Knox back. Once you've tripped it, that's it.
