mmm... I have the genuine s cover and is working great... I donĀ“t have that bug... you should check with another cover... maybe that was faulty.

Mine too is there is any way to fix it

I am using a fake s view and I only get that problem when I squash the flip cover against the back all the way.
Bear in mind the magnet sensor is at the bottom left of screen

So is there away to disable the sensor temporarly
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

The magnet in the cover must be too powerful.
You need to get a.better case or not fold flat on to the back

One of my friend is also using the same and its touch is working very fine. No problems with cover and sensor of the phone.

Finally i fix the problem.... I back the cover to the shop and replaced it with a working cover... Thanks all

Hi
I have the same problem too.
So, is that a design flaw or is it a defective unit?
Thanks

Might help someone...are any of you using a micro SIM created by yourself (from a regular SIM)?
I also had a problem with bad fit of the back cover. In my case it was caused by my own stupidity not trimming down the height of the SIM enough which made it impossible for the back cover to make a perfect fit. Took me a couple of minutes before I realized it...
Mine perfect too!
mine is good 2
case loose for me right near the camera button too, sad face :/
Perfect fit here.
But what do you mean by loose, does it move ?
or is there a inimini tiny gap between the top and the cover.

[Q] Tablet taps return/home and other stuff by itself

My brand new Xperia Tablet Z taps randomly, though home and return seems to be the favorites, making the tablet rather useless for browsing and the like.
Tried restoring and deleting everything, it still acts up. Didn't start doing it unti after about 2 hours of usage.
Hope you get what I mean - could almost seem like some kind of remote control malware has found it's way in.
are you using any cover ? could be its too tight and flexing the tab.

I'm actually using a cover provided by the Sony Centre where I bought the tablet. The tablet is fixed with some adhesive tape.
I'm just having a hard time getting why the cover would force the tablet to flex enough for the touch screen to react?!

Maybe we can Hack a Chinese knock off case with stuff from Radioshack

Ok, I've been around Android for a long time. And the thing that makes this community great is it's ingenuity. From G1 to Note 3 if something doesn't work (right) we fix it. So it seems I read somewhere that the connections on the rear case are there with adhesive. I don't have a case original OEM. Can someone post some pics of the connections and investigate how they work

Reviving this thread because I too would like to know what is inside the pin box in the s-view. I would be so grateful to anyone that has an s-view case and would be willing to help in investigate what's in it.

I agree - I'm tempted to get the real S-View cover just so I can pull the chip off it and put it in one of the nicer real leather flip cases out there. Also, do we know whether the screen on/off uses a magnet to sense whether the flip is closed, or just the proximity sensor?
Yeah would be good to get some of the nicer cases functioning like OEM

Hey Guys
I just bought a normal Samsung case, non S-view. It too has a small chip in it. I can pretty confidently confirm that something other than the proximity sensor turns the screen off, and when that small chip is removed, the screen does not turn off.
I think it is basically telling the phone that the cover is there, and what type of cover it is, so it knows whether to turn off completely or go into S-view mode, and what the power button action does.
I hope this has helped in some way.

Do you have a multimeter? if at all possible I would like to have readings with the Sview case open and closed while not on the phone. Just to see if there are some slight change in readings.
another thing to check would be the flip cover with the wake functions to see if the reading were different. anyone on here know of someone with flip cover?

Sorry, I don't have access to a multimeter at the moment, I'll ask around to see if I know anyone with one though.
without the chip in, the screen does not turn off when the flap closes.

Soon we well get the Chinese knock off that actually work the sview case is expensive for no reason I'd rather wait.

Sorry to hear that use this app called s view hatroid in the play store it's free to download you can use the case so it doesn't go all the way to waste.

hi guys, a multimeter is going to be useless, it's not just a simple short, it's not a resistor, it's a ID chip in the back of the case that enables S-View
there is already a thread going on about it

Back cover problem

For all its glorious reviews about rubber finish n premium look, my back cover came slightly loose from the lower left side. It's not totally out but not completely fixed too. Makes a crunchy kind of sound when I press. Called Flipkart and they replied it was a fairly common issue and immediately agreed to send me a new back cover, albeit white.. Said they'll ship a black one as soon as it's available.
Anyone facing this issue please contact Flipkart.

Is it the back cover that ships with the device or separately purchased one? Because mine(default one) is slightly open from the top, I can live with it but still.

And yes they said they will ship black one as soon as it is available.

Got white cover and no issue with it. Waiting for my black one.
I think back cover problem arises if you wrongly open it. I made a fuss of it first time as it was too tight. May be because of that it became loose. But no problem with the white one I got.

I think its a fault of the design of the device. When I got my black Moto E it was tight as well. I opened the recommended way : https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/97427/p/30,6720,9050
and put it back. It was lose after I opened it once. I think if you remove your new back cover and put it back, its gonna become lose as well.
The new cover isn't loose up till now. Just opened it twice. Hope it doesnt get loose in future.[emoji16]
But if the issue resumes after some time then Flipkart won't replace it n number of times. Should be good to get a back cover may be tpu case.
And if you can suggest me a 32 GB memory card please tell me. I am looking to get transcend 32 GB class 10.

I am using the Transcend microSDHC 32GB Class 10 (from Flipkart) on Moto E right now. Its working without any issues. I bought the Moto E as my screen of S4 mini got damaged and the service center was asking for rs.5700 for replacement. Instead of repairing it, I bought the Moto E
and asking for a back cover replacement is a pain since my college has begun and I wont be at home waiting for that asshole from flipkart to come.

Got the replacement cover from Flipkart but the new back cover moves too, called flipkart and they told me to request for refund.
I already bought amzer tpu case for motorola e and its fits motorola e best. hence won't go for the refund since i will be using the amzer cover with moto e.
Does flipkart replace the backcover or do they just send a new one. I like my black backcover but its a bit loose i.e it has space between the gorilla glass mounting and itself. So should i call or mail flipkart.

and for the back cover someone posted that by sticking the sticky paper on inside will solve the moving problem. not sure coz I haven't tried it.
