Kernel Panic! - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I updated from MJ4 to NAB, and then to NABD, and flashed TWRP 4.4x compatible recovery, using the directions and links from the leak thread.
When I flashed the Engineering Bootloader tar in Odin, I used "bootloader" button, and it completed and is now stuck in a bootloop.
I cannot boot into Download Mode or Recovery, they both bootloop. Did I just brick my phone?
I have done the following procedure, so far, to attempt to recover my phone to operational condition.
• I just removed my SD-card and it booted into TWRP recovery. WHEW.
• I tried to update the recovery to "philz_touch_6.12.9-hltespr" which was supposed to be 4.4x compatible, and it now has a Kernel Panic message, and engaged "Upload Mode", how should I proceed to get back to normal?
○ I've tried to flash back to stock MJ4 tar using Odin, while its in the Kernel Panic upload mode, and it fails.
○ Now trying to flash into stock NAB tar using Odin + Kernel Panic upload mode, and it fails. I'm out of options. Someone please help me.

[Q] Failed kernel flash, phone wont boot.

I wanted to flash the Siyah kernel, but failed. Now the phone is always stuck at the Samsung logo, and I can't even enter Recovery mode, only Download mode which implies I must use Odin.
Any advice?
Flash a stock rom in Odin, factory reset. Clean slate. Then try flashing whatever rom/kernel you want again if you're still keen.
Edit - Or...Flash stock rom, root phone, restore Nandroid backup (assuming you have one).
Any guide for using Odin to do just this?
Here. But don't let me stop you searching for it :-|

Recovery Mode?

I've been trying to find an answer on this forum and on google but I cannot find anyone with a problem similar to mine.
All of a sudden after trying to update CWM, (failed), I cannot go into recovery anymore.
I know the button combinations and have previously done it before but now it just vibrates and displays the Samsung logo.
If I try and use an app to boot into recovery mode it soft bricks the phone I believe (does not boot and I have to get it into download mode to
flash the system.img).
Does this mean that I have no recovery?
Yes. It means you have no recovery. I would suggest flashing TWRP with Odin.

I tried to flash TWRP using Odin but after the Check status, Odin is crashing and force closes. I tried installing CWM but the progress bar seems like it is stuck on 0%.
I'm not quite sure how to fix this. I am trying to install CM10 but this is the first android I have had.
It's rooted but everything is stock. I am not sure if I need a custom kernel also.
Is your phone a Canadian version? There's an extra step needed when you flash a custom recovery.
It's just an American version
try this and flash cwm-touch-i717-120414.tar.md5 with odin if twrp does not work, then download the updated zip from twrp and flash that via recovery. unless u just want to keep cwm touch.
ODIN + CWM Touch or TWRP

[Q] Stuck in boot loop after flashing

Hello,
I am stuck in a boot loop.
I can't access stock recovery mode ( holding +, -, and the power butoon).
I CAN access the download mode.
I CAN flash with ODIN with no trouble.
Short description of actions leading to this:
1. Tried to upgrade to the latest CyanogenMod 10.1, Kernel at that time: SGH-I777-ATTGalaxyS2RootStockZedomaxKernel
2. Upgraded successfully, but my pone SIM got locked. I panicked and loaded a backup from CWM.
3. Phone returned to stock ROM (I believe) with Zedomax Kernel. DIdn't fix the SIM lock. Managed to unlock with Galaxy S Unlock app.
4. Decided to Flash a new rom + kernel. ROM: rr_i9100_Resurrection_Remix_V4.0.7_Sep-01-13 KERNEL: AJK-v3.9-AOSP
5. Successfully installed ROM, KERNEL. Installed wrong GAPPS, wiped cache and other cahce (in Advanced), installed correct APPS.
6. Everything works perfectly. SIM locks again. Try the Samsung S Unlock app, IT FAILS. (Because i had a back up of prievious EFS from the stock andorid os and didn't delete it?)
7. Restored EFS, Deleted olf EFS back up, did all 3 steps. SIM still locked. Restored old EFS
8. Loaded backup to Cyanogen Mod 9 (i believe) with Zedomax kernel.
9. Phone doesn't load, can't access CWM, or normal recovery.
10. Flashed Odin3 One-click Downloader I-777 UCKH7 Stock + Root No Bootloaders.
11. Phone stuck in boot loop, can't access Recovery mode. (To try and factory reset, because i think i need to reset cache for everything to work)
12. Flased Zedomax KERNEL, thinking it would give me CWM, but it doesn't.
I have read A LOT of posts regarding similar problems, but i decided to ask for help, seeing as every single situation is different.
[ I think that the unwiped cache and data from the REssurection ROM and AJK KERNEL are interfering with the stock ROM, KERNEL. But i can not enter recovery mode to reset data. These are just my thoughts ]
Please help me.
First, follow just step one below and then enter recovery and perform a wipe data/factory reset.
If that does not solve the problem, continue with steps 2 to 6.
Instructions to clear nand read/write corruption.
Odin3 v1.85 is recommended.
1) Download the Tar version of Siyah 2.6.14 Kernel. Flash it in PDA. Without ticking Re-Partitioning
2) Flash the Tar.md5 of the full stock Gingerbread distribution from the Download Repository, I777UCKH7 including the bootloaders and everything, in the PDA slot.
3) If that is successful you are done. If it is not, then:
4) Download the SBL Bootloader from the Download Repository. Flash it as PDA in ODIN, without ticking Re-Partitioning.
5) Flash the Kernel, as in step 1.
6) Flash the full stock Gingerbread distribution, as in step 2.
If I may add step 7) Stay away from Zedomax/his site; his rooting method, files and information are wrong and outdated.
Problem resolved. Thank you very much for your help!

Stuck on Downloading screen

Got rooted bu when I went to install a custom recovery , it HAD stock recovery until I tried installing CWM and TWRP. Neither of those worked, AND, I can't get stock recovery back, just the DOWNLOADING screen with the following:
Could not do normal boot (red text)
ODIN Mode (red text)
Product name :SCH-1545
Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
CSB CONFIG LSB: 0x30
write protection : enable (grey text)
eMMC Burst mode: enabled (grey text)
Suggestions how to correct this, and what recovery SHOULD I be using on this device (I am on build NK4)
You can't install cwm or twrp on nk4. Locked bootloader.
You'll have to Odin back to nc5 (download nc5 stock Odin tar and pit file from surges thread..) and Odin 3.09 or 3.10 and then flash back to nc5 and root with towel root.
Then you need to install safestrap. (Busy box first depending on the version of safestrap)
You may be able to install flash fire but I don't know if it works on kitkat.
Thanks. Got Odin to get back in and do a soft wipe only issue is now i get the android.process.acore has stopped message that pops up immediately after I say OK - can't get past it.

Can't Install Custom Recovery - STuck in Download

Note 3 Running Android 5.01 from Sprint.
I've had both OC5 and OH! (I think is the new one from August)
Both Firmware I try to install CWM or TW via ODIN and its unsuccessful. When I try to get into recovery it reverts to some errors while in Downloading.
Most recent attempt I re-installed stock firmware OC5. Ran OTA upgrade to newest firmware. Used CF to root and again ODIN to install CWM. Still same thing.
What am I missing here?
FYI if I use ROM Manager to install CWM it says its successful but can't book into recovery. It will just loop the bootloader so I have to use Odin to reinstall the firmware.
What ver. Of Oden you using?
Originally I used 3.07 but aftrer coming across this issue I've wiped and reinstalled the firmware and tried again using 1.85. Both versions had no luck.
Try Oden 3.10
Missing root. Try to reroot via odin, and try twrp via odin. If no go...put stock via odin and select nand erase. You may get stuxk on sprint logo when boots, go into recovery and do wipe. The reboot stock will load. Then root via odin, and install twrp or cwm via odin. This fixes all my problems...even when i thought phone was dying
