Can anybody help me root my A5* i cant find any possible way yet.... I have tried every method that I thougth should work..:crying:

You might need to follow the instruction given in his thread carefully. And also make sure you have enabled USB debugging.

well I tried that method but with no luck.. maybe I should wait for any developer to look into this phone but unfortunately its outdated....

This phone is old one so must be this method should have worked. Have u enabled the USB debugging in your phone ?? and what went wrong when you tried it ?

i have enabled the debugging mode...... i guess the bootloader is locked or maybe iam wrong

my question is by doing rooting process if any error comes than my phone will bricked? and if phone will get bricked than can we able to reflash it or can we bring him out of the dead state?
i have also saw ur previous video tutorial for older version i have downloded that files also .
and new files of R2 "R2BA020_ROOT.rar" this files also...
I have X10i and my rom version is R1FA014 with baseband 1.0.14..
so sugeest me which method should i use (older one R1 or new one R2)
also please give me Step by insteruction to root with "R2BA020"

You seriously need to try your best to brick your device. Just READ the instructions and you'll be just fine!

You can either follow some complicated instructions and try flashing your phone or you can use the new exploid/mini rooting method on a stock phone.
its only for x10mini na?

It works on all newer Android phones, so just follow the instructions for it and you'll have a rooted phone in a few minutes.

Adb is working, the "problem" was a simple user error. Adb is used for debugging.
i am scared to use this apk file..but thanks for your help

There are no differences except that you can use applications that require root. That is all, it only installs one extra command called "su" which enables you to run apps as root.
Why cant i unroot my phone ?

Your phone is not connected..you need to put your phone in download mode vol down+power+home
If you are doing this then check if you have all the required drivers...
If your phone gets connected then you will see the first box in the third row from top turning blue..it will say ID:COM 7 or something..

I already put CF ROOT when I was in DLI2, I flash rom to DLI5 and now I have this problem.
I am in download mode so I don't understand why it don't work..

After rooting through this, I can't able to connect my phone to PC. I mean the PC nor the Xperia P not detects each other The mobile just charges. Tried with all possible cables.
Once I flash the mobile with JB, i'm able to connect my phone to PC.
Help me out, why the phone is not detecting after rooting..

What version of Android is your tablet running? I can try and recommend a root procedure based on what version of Android your running.

I would recommend trying either this root procedure (As suggested by ArikaSalaf) or this root procedure and seeing if either of these work for you. Let me know if you still have questions.

For Bin4ry Root Tool try this link. And if you use the other procedure make sure you follow the instructions step by step, if you follow it step by step and read everything carefully you'll be ok :good:.

What you can try is re-downloading the file and when Norton complains it's a virus (False positive) click on the notification that comes up which should bring up Norton giving you information about why it deleted the file. Then when the information comes up there should be a restore deleted file option which should then allow you to use the root tool.
