I have been using my android SAMSUNG Galaxy S 2 duos ( model GT- S7562)
I wanna know whether my android is rootable or not? If rootable, which rom should I use?
I tried to root using Cyanogen latest android app from my android. But my device was not supported/listed there.
I checked the other posts but could not find good resources regarding my phone.

The best rom for me on our device is PMP Ultra Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426112
NOTE: Read careful the instruction
P.S. Roms are not made for all devices. Each device has their own Roms.

There is a CWM installed by the Chinese. (with holding volume button up and power button on iget in that CWM)
But offcourse i cant read Chinese.
I want a english version of CWM installed,
But as far as i know there is no download for it. Cant find any for this device.
So my question is.
How can i get a worked CWM in english on my phone.
And how do i get it on this phone, because i cant use this Chinese CWM.
Need the good CWM recovery offcourse.

Had you looked around you would have seen many threads about clone devices and the fact that they get little to no replies. Do to the fact that we don't support clone devices. Your best bet would be to translate the current recovery as I have seen issues come up if the China based apps or recoveries are removed.

First, i look here in xda similar devices but still dont work. I try a lot tutorials and using programs like "Root with restore by bin4ry v17,v18 and v25, installing mt6577 drivers first and them use the program but dont work...
Actually y trying to use one tutorial on "needrom.com", later i comment if its works
so... any idea?

Hi, i have a same phone, and it lock to start screen you have a rom backup to send me or a stock rom?
For root the device, download mtkdroidtools.

this phone does not contain the recovery mode and did not even download mode. I try to root, but I found nothing. I use a translator to speak in English, if English is very good at least try to understand. I can not find the correct driver for this phone. Here are the details : spreadtrum phone

New to Porting Roms but I'm curious to whether this would be possible.
I currently own the THL W11:

ROM: 32Gb
Display: 1920 x 1080, 441 PPI
Android Version is: 4.2.1 JOP40D

I have successfully flash the THL W11 MIUI 5 rom found on this Forum onto the phone.
I have installed Cygwin + Android Kitchen in preparation of Porting ROMS.
Here is my question:
I would really like to update my THL W11 to Android 4.4 KitKat as well as flash MIUI 6 onto the phone. Is this at all possible, if so how?
If it is not possible, could someone explain to me why?
Obviously don't want to brick my phone!

I have a chinese android phone (brand : COLORS) which doesn't provide OTA updates and I can't find any on the internet.
Is there any way I can port a ROM to use with it? Or can I use the ROM made for exact specification but different brand (company)?
