Imperium Operative: start/uninstall/kill appears often - Ornate TrueSmart

Hi guys,
For some reason I'm getting the dialogue a lot in Imperium Operative that shows "to move an app to a category, drag the app icon and drop it on the desired category's icon". It's the dialogue you get when you long-press an icon. I'm not actually long pressing on anything and it pops up anyway...
Can these icons be "locked down"?

The Smart Launcher Dev is here on xda and has a thread for the app. Stroll over to the app thread and see if he can help out.

Thanks! Didn't realize it was a separate app.

How to restore icons in the app drawer?

I'm running touchwiz, and deleted the web icon from the app drawer. I have a web icon on my homescreen, but how the heck do I get it back into the app drawer.
How can I restore deleted icons in the app drawer?
Hey,
You can't delete the icon from the app draw without uninstalling the app. Since the icon is on your desktop then you have not deleted it.
TW allows you to organize/customize the app draw but there will always be the default setting with all apps. I have not used TW in a long time but, open the app draw and hit the menu button. If I remember correctly you will have options for custom app draw but there will also be the default, which will have all of your apps.

You actually can delete them, I know because I did LOL
You can delete it, by going to your app drawer, then hitting menu, then custamizable grid, then edit the grid, then pull the icon out of the app drawer and put it in your dock, now its not longer in your app drawer. Now put the icon from the dock into the trash, and now its gone!
I have a backup icon on my homescreen, but now, I can't seem to reverse the process and get the icon back into the app drawer
I guess the problem is, technically the icon is still somewhere is on my phone, just not in my app drawer! I want it back into the app drawer.
Sorry, maybe I was not clear. When I say app draw I'm talking about the default app draw. This display is not"customizable" therefore you cannot delete the icons unless you delete the app. You must be using a customizable grid.
You get the icon back by either using the default grid, or editing the customizable grid. Sound like you have the basics of the latter, just play around with. GL

Yes, I'm using the stock samsung touchwiz customizable app drawer. Trust me you can remove the icon from the app drawer, it lets you. The problem is, putting back in.
Yeah, SykesAT, you're incorrect. Give this a shot:
Tap "Applications"
Press "Menu"
Tap "View Type"
Tap ""Customizable Grid"
Press "Menu"
Tap "Edit"
Tap "-" (minus sign) on the apps that allow it.
Sadly, Sammy, I don't know how to get them back. Uninstall/reinstall an option?

The minus sign is uninstall, and it only allow unisntall not system apps. Web browser is a sys app and you shouldn't be able to delete it. Are you sure is not in the dock not the desk?
When you place an item in the dock, it desapears from the drawer...
You can always do a factory reset...... Not fun but it is something.....
Ok so messed around with it some more, and I thought I had trashed the icon from the dock. It appears it didn't go from dock to trash, it went from dock to app drawer, but out of alphabetical order so I wasn't seeing it.
So here is the new issue:
Techinically, I guess I want 2 copies of the icon, meaning.
I custamize my grid, I take the web icon OUT of the app drawer and put it into my dock. Meaning now the web icon is in my dock, and there is no longer a web icon in my app drawer.
However, I would like a copy, meaning I want the web icon in both my dock and app drawer. Anyway to make multiple copies of the icon? I know you can make multiple copies of icons on your homescreens, but seems like touchwiz doesn't give me the option. Either only lets me put it either in the dock or the app drawer, but not both places at the same time
I used desktop visualizer to create a second copy. Why not use a secondary web app like dolphin hd or opera? Just a thought....

[Q] Edit TouchWiz "Quick Launch" Apps?

TouchWiz adds a quick launch button at the bottom middle of the screen that pops up six app icons. Is it possible to change which apps pop up?
Thanks.
Nope. Buried in the framework... Someone theming or making a custom ROM may be able to, but out of the box, no
how can i delete quick launch?
or move it to the top of the screen?
it often steals space key from on-screen keyboards.
moreover, i removed binded apps and now quicklaunch hangs

[Q] contact icon is missing

I dont know what happen. I woke up one morning and the contact icon on the bottom of the home screen is gone. I usualy have four icons there. Phone contact messaging and application. But now i only have three. I still could see contact icon inside application. how do i fix it?
Open application drawer, menu, edit, long press the relevant icon and put it back? Or similar, I forget the exact order of things in TW.
how do i do that? im running on stock ics. I didnt root
I just told you? What's unclear and why are you going on about root?
In the 'Phone contact messaging and application', click on the application icon.
press the 'menu/options' button - this is the left of the 3 buttons at the bottom of the phone. this will pop-up a menu. Select 'Edit' from this menu.
You can now move all the icons about. You can move icons from page to page and also from the page to the 'Phone contact messaging and application'.
Once you have changed it to the way you want it, select the 'menu/options' button and select Save.
This has been already answered, but I thought I would make it a bit clearer. There is no requirement to root the phone for this as it is a standard feature of Android.

[Q] deleted texting widget

This is the ULTIMATE NOOB question ever! My girlfriend deleted her texting widget from the home screen and i cant find out how to replace it. I can add widgets to the empty spot but not the texting one. Please help!
***note*** she deleted the stock rom texting widget.
Long press on home screen, go to shortcuts, then apps, then select messaging, then drag and drop it back down to the minibar at the bottom of the screen.
OR
Go to your app drawer, long press on the messaging app, then drag it down to the minibar as above.
Easy as pie.
Or get a new text app
I recommend GO SMS Pro. I have used it for a long time...they have several free or paid themes so you can likely find one that matches your GF's theme. Additionally, there is a widget that you can add to the homescreen.

Stupid Cyanogen Mod question

I know this has to be so obvious that it has completely eluded me.
How do you add a widget to the homescreen on Cyanogen Mod 10.1?
When I press on the screen I only get wallpaper choices. I must be missing something.
My name's Harold and I'm a flashaholic....
Open the app drawer, select the widget tab, find the one you want, the long press and drag to where you want it.

Yup, knew it had to be there. Never noticed the widgets tab in the app drawer. That's what I get for not using my reading glasses....
Thanks.
No problem
