Xposed LED Control - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone have any experience with this? I would like to set my notifications to being the same color, I'm not much for differentiating, I'm looking into this, I read LF is pretty good, however I read it can destroy a battery life, and I'd like to stick with modules for now, I've probably grown prejudiced since I went rooted along with xposed lol. Any input would be great. Thanks!

Also running on stock 4.4.2 along with Franco Kernel r33. Just flashed the kernel a few hours ago, seeing how it goes.

I have been using this Module on my i9505 since the first version.
It works REALLY nice, and i was considering buying the full version.
Unfortunatelly, developer @MohammadAG seems to have stoped developing it, or maybe he is busy.
The app has some bugs. (it still does not work with Gmail, and also causes weird bugs if you try to use it on Phone app, to notify missed calls)
It would be awesome if the development coninued. The dev could add an option for multiple notifications, since right now, it only flashes the collor of the last received notification.
Anyways, i use it for Whatsapp (green) , Snapchat (yellow) and Facebook (Blue). Give it a try.

I haven't stopped developing it, it's changing into Xposed Notification Control next, you'll be able to set custom vibration patterns and different priorities.
However, I still haven't made a proper announcement thread.
I just have 3 modules that I've been working on for a while, so it may take time.

Wow! That is GREAT news! Cant wait for it! Once again, congratulations for your awesome work! Keep it up, and count on me if you need any files, or even a tester. (I remember your access to Samsung Device was hard, so i can help test on my i9505 if you need).
Good to hear from you.

It doesn't seem to work on my Nexus 5, but it could be a conflict with GravityBox.

As far as i Know, Nexus 5 is the developers own phone. I am pretty sure it WORKS on it. It might be some conflict or mis-config....

My phone have both Gmail and SMS blinking green, so I change sms led to blue... and when I get SMS, after the first blink (which is as blue as I want), it get back to green right away. Any idea? See nothing interesting in xposed log since it worked, but got override by phone led blinking setting.
Using stock-based 4.0.4 Sony rom.

Future ROM feature wishlist

So I know that the devs are hard at work on getting us all kinds of CM, AOSP, and/or AOKP goodness, but I thought maybe if any of the devs are looking for some features to add it might be nice to have a thread they can refer to with everyones "wants" once the "needs" are met.
I'll start it off with a request to add support for BLN (back light notification) to an upcoming kernel. This, combined with the option to put the navigation bar on while dissabling the HW keys would be a great feature IMHO. Not to mention our stock notification LED pretty much sucks a big one.
ROM feature requests
Flashlight in notification drawer quick settings
More options in the shutdown menu (Boot to recovery, etc)
Get rid of the idiotic audio policy of volume reduction when plugging in headphones
Allow dialer rotation
The option to see the standard swipe lock screen before the secure lock.
True music controls on the lock screen
Better control of status bar icons (center clock, hide icons, change colors of icons, etc)
The ability to link the notification volume with the ringer volume
Volume rocker music controls
Universal Qslide
Kernel feature requests
BLN
Enable audio through USB for devices like the Infuse Car Dock (I think this is a kernel issue, if not let me know and I'll put it with the ROM stuff)
I didn't see a similar thread on here, so if there is, kindly point me to it and a mod can delete this one. And if BLN support already exists in Sk8's kernel tell me that too, ha ha.
I haven't looked into the ROMs because I'm liking stock, but a request I do have for when I do decide to flash is to have a flashlight if it hasn't been incorporated into the ROMs out now. There's a lot of times where I need to look for something and don't feel like turning on my light switch. Would be a nice thing to be implemented if it hasn't been done and can be done.

I don't know if this is what you have in mind, but I use TeslaLED: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.flashlight&feature.. It has a widget you can add to the homescreen for a quick on off, as well as some other features. I actually have it as one of my lock screen apps. I wish there was a way to have it turn on when opened from the lockscreen, but it's only one extra tap.
Edit: Gah! John beat me to one.
PS: TeslaLED is only 512K, whereas Tiny Flashlight is anything but at 1.5M

My wishlist:
1. Get rid of the idiotic audio policy of volume reduction when plugging in headphones
2. Allow dialer rotation
3. Enable audio through USB for devices like the Infuse Car Dock.
The two features I really want to see are:
- The option to see the standard swipe lock screen before the secure lock.
- true music controls on the lock screen instead of using the notification controls
sent from my LGOG
My biggest things are center clock, ability to hide things on status bar, and a flashlight toggle. The Base has done pretty well but I would love a flashlight toggle in my quick settings in my notification drawer. The swipe for flashlight thing was so touchy that I disable it.
Also, I love the theme chooser app and ability to have easy themes for my ROMs like in CM10 and AOKP
EDIT: also the ability to boot straight into download and recovery mode like in certain other ROMs using the power button.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
The Base ROM does have a flashlight built in, you can activate it in the notification drawer options.
I was using Tesla until I found this.
Though I do wish it was in the Quick Settings too.
I would also love native reboot options.
And lastly, I would love the ability to link the notification volume with the ringer volume.
I know. The swipe thing only works half the time and half of that half, I end up with The Base force closes

I had actually forgot about this feature. I just tried it again and sometimes it takes three or four swipes to turn on. Might be user error though.
Swipe for torch works perfect for me.
Reboot options would be nice.
Volume Button Music controls would be nicer.
I actually came up with a wish while looking at the android dev section.
It doesn't actually have to do with the rom itself, but I'm hoping that as things become further developed to not only have a Changelog but to have a what's working list/what's not working list or just the latter.
I see a lot of threads gets bogged down with DOES THIS WORK? IS THIS INCLUDED?
Granted there's a group of people out there that don't read and just flash, but it could be helpful for another group of people that compare and contrast roms (like myself) before flashing.
Anyone else agree?

That makes sense to me. I wonder if xda could get a ROM form together so all the devs can include all the same info in their ROM's thread's OP. I don't know how practical that would be, but it would be nice to have some standardization.

That is a pretty cool idea.
But from what I've seen, most ROM posts actually follow a pretty basic design.
We seem to be the odd ones out.

[ROM][Unofficial-Geeb]4.4.2_R2 SomethingExplosive[KVT49L][Mar.15.2014]

This is a little kang I did for myself and after seeing the good response in my 4.4.2_R1 aosp thread I decided to post this for everyone to try out.
It's not a hugely modified rom, its largely aosp with enough tweaks and addons to make it "just right" for me.
When I run this rom, I don't use xposed/gravitybox and turn on art. Its smooth smooth smooth.
First and foremost, big thanks to something15525 as its his rom, I just added device specific stuff and compiled for geeb.
Full features list can be found here: https://github.com/SomethingExplosive/android_vendor_SoMeX/blob/somex-4.4/FEATURES.mkdn
Quick highlights:
This rom has Superuser baked in so no need to flash SuperSU.
AOSP gesture enabled keyboard
VoicePlus - Google Voice integration into any SMS app
CM Torch built in
Busybox - helpful tools for terminal manipulation
Extended Power Menu - Reboot, Recovery, and Bootloader access from the power menu
Customized QuickSettings Toggles (WiFi and Bluetooth) - no more long press to toggle
Clear Recents Button - One button to clear everything in the recent apps display

When I use the pure aosp build, I run xposed/gravitybox which in turn means I can't turn art on.
I'm running this rom now for the last few days without xposed/gravitybox and turn on art instead.
Art makes the phone even more responsive.

The faux kernel is more in line with faux's mako kernel release but with dual led green/red for canadian phones.
The included one is houstonns adreno kernel with added code for canadian phones with dual green/red led control.

The goal of this rom from the developers standpoint is to have minimal customization.
Think of it as aosp++
Just a few tweaks/addons without going insane and losing the stability and speed of aosp.

Appreciate your hard work. I was talking about simple customization such as bettery icon, time placement, quick setting tile rearrangement, etc. I wish you can add these customization.
Any trick to increase audio volume level ( I mean at max it is bit low)?

Sorry I'm not really into doing mods for my roms, but if someone wants to come up with a zip to do these things for you it would be welcomed in this thread!
Only reason I asked was, I tried the build prop edit adding "qemu.HW.mainkey=0" and went to the generic keypad and tried disabling the hardware keys and it didn't work.
Here is to hoping some one can write up a quick zip to do this.

I was on this ROM for a few days and had no issues at all! Very well done!
I switched to Slimkat for the extra features though, and I miss the colors this ROM has! What was edited...was it the gamma, the contrast, the levels? Is there a file I can edit to get the same overall color feel that this ROM has? What values are set for this ROM so I can match it on any other ROM I happen to try?

Feature Request [Flip to mute + Charging led state]

It would be great if someone will add these features into the rom. It's annoying turning screen on to check battery level. I'd like to change launcher grid sizes too, but no one seems to like the idea
hey i think gravity box may be what you need. install xposed framework first then search for the module gravity box, then you'll find a variety of customization.
yup that is cool(not the flip)but the led would be a neat feature.......:good:
Agreeing on both, with a preference for the first one. Gravity is something nice, but in my mind it hasn't the same orientation and appeal as PA

Battery led isn't currently supported because it needs device specific kennel modifications. It won't be included until all devices can get support
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Why do you need to turn screen on just to see battery life? I don't agree with this, but could be useful for someone.. I preffer to have led notifications while screen is on, as I alteady suggested before.
Face down the phone to mute call is a must have feature.
or you can just use an app for that: for instance, I use flip4silence (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.failedprojects.flip4silence&hl=en) which works well for me.
cheers

[MOD][XPOSED] Battery Percentage Text

This module for Android Lollipop/Marshmallow (5.x.x/6.x.x) adds the current battery percentage to the lock screen, notification shade header, and status bar. The app includes options for enabling or disabling the injected text, changing the position of the text relative to the battery icon, and changing the appearance of the text.
Note that this has not been tested on Nougat (7.x.x). As of Oreo (8.x.x), this module is no longer needed, as the battery percentage text is now properly shown alongside the battery icon when enabled in the System UI Tuner.
Xposed Module Repository
thanks for this module. it is possible to add an option so we can see the battery percentage text on the right side of the battery icon?
Not working on CM 12.1. I'd be happy to test out any test releases to get this working. This is something I miss from KitKat.
Thank you so much man @Extrinsic. It has puzzled me to no ends why there was no decent module for this very specific purpose. This is such neat & useful module. Cheers ??

it seems that font size is smaller at status bar than at lock screen, don't it?
This absolutely genius module no longer works on most ROMs it used to. Probably due to framework changes in AOSP.
Can you kindly update it to work with current AOSP ROMs?
Plus, it never worked on any CM-based ROMs due to their customization.
Thank you so much.
New version (v1.1):
- Added support for unexpanded notification shade header
- Added options for customizing positions and font sizes
- Allowed injected text to receive alpha channel and color changes made to status bar elements
- Fixed compatibility issues with some AOSP and CyanogenMod-based ROMs

I've tested it so far on the 5.1.1 and 6.0.1 Google stock ROMs, CyanogenMod 13 (6.0.1), and Pure Nexus (6.0.1). Hopefully, it should work with most near-stock ROMs now.
This is an amazing module, I am loving it, thank you for doing it. It works great with the latest update in my Moto G 3rd Generation (2015) with stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It would be nice to have an option to hide the app from the launcher, as many modules have, and It would be nice to have more text sizes, or a configurable text size bar. Anyway, it is awesome, keep the good work!

Hi mate on gs7 edge don't work...
The LED turns off if I pull down the notification drawer, and doesn't turn back on. Is there some way you could circumvent this?
Don't working for Galaxy S4 (I9500) / 5.0.1
:/
Guys it's not gonna work on ANY samsung device (and some other brands) because the TouchWiz kernel does not allow for the led to turn on while the screen is on.
Great app either way!
PS: You still can see the app working without the LED because it adds a "eye" notification icon to your status bar...
Great module thank you! It takes my fair away of being secretly recorded. Didn't know until now that Snapchat even records when watching snaps and friends.
hi,it is really an amazing job if it work, but on my note 3 h3g rooted xposed,it doesnt work and it doesnt also show any notification,i will agree with a notification if the touchwiz doesnt let the led work on an active screen...what do u think can we do for the notification at least...
