on the screen over the menu button you can see button light that brightens up the right side of the screen which is quite visible in dark enviroment.
did any1 else noticed same thing on their gear or should i expect the screen was replaced with non genuine one?

Banding screen Droid RAZR

Hi, all!
I have just bought my new moto, everything is cool but screen has parallel lines at low brightness and on grey and blue pictures. I heard about this issue on Super AMOLED but I think that on my screen this is too match. Please, check out photos.
The first photo is white pattern at low at brightness level about 10%. The second is grey pattern at about 80%. The last one is photo at about 60% of brightness.

Is it normal or I should to swap phone?
oh snap, that is real bad, compared to my phone thats really not normal.
Yeah not normal
you should get it replaced.
I went to service center in hope to replace for a new one but there don't want to replace, they show me another phone with similar defect and sad that this is pretty "obvious" for this model. I think they are hustler or I have a luck to talk with not competent people.
Thanks a lot for your respond, it give me confidence that truth is on my side and I will try to replace phone anyway.

[Q] Purple-ish Capacitive Buttons? Get it replaced?

Hey guys I received my HTC One earlier today and I noticed a couple of things, one, there are small gaps between the polycarbonate and the speaker grill and my capacitive buttons seem to have a purple-ish hue to them. it almost seems as if they are not completely lighting up. Has anyone else had this issue?
If not should I go ahead and get it replaced?
The only reason I ask is because when I went to the AT&T store, the display model had the same issue.
By the way, they look sort of like this, except more purple:

Mine have somewhat of a hue.
They look like this:

i think thats there normal color, as for the gap you can either accept it as it is( i know i did cuz it was not apparent)
or you can get it replaced,

Someone from Alcatel or JRD?

Hi guys, I'm searching for help from someone that's an employee (if there's one on this forum), to explain how can they tell me that the screen gets yellow-ish on it's borders and flickering black horizontal bars over the upper border and the bottom one. In some minutes, it gets ok but the color doesn't get back as it should be. My acknowledge tells me that the display chip is crashing and/or something is going wrong on the screen itself.
What should I do?
Why do they told me it's because rooting? It's really stupid and ridiculous.

Those bars where flickering/blinking for some minutes.
You can notice it better right here.
Here you can see two totally black borders at the screen right and left upper margins.
It's running on TWRP because, scared, I shutted it down when I saw the screen running like this and then restarted on recovery to check if it's a software error.
Help me a hear me please.
I got my English skills unused for some time, sorry for the grammar, hehe.

Question Gray bar across the top of the home screen

I got my 1 III yesterday and noticed just now that there is a gray bar across the top of the screen. I do not recall seeing it there before. It almost looks like backlight bleed on a normal screen but I know it cannot be that on an OLED. If I go into another program like the camera app, the gray bar goes away which points to it being a software issue. Is anybody else having this issue?
I was able to take a picture of it:

I also have it in my Xperia 1.. so it's a part of the wallpaper and I was like you but then I realized it's not a hardware problem. so, no worries! your phone is intact

Question Weird Screen "Anomaly"

S23 Ultra when viewed under 365nm UV flashlight looks like something is behind the screen glass as pictured.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max looks the outer area of the screen.
The "blob" looks almost like something is under the screen.
Viewed normally, the screen looks perfectly fine.
If anyone has one of these lights, can you check your phone to see if it looks like this?
Other phones have this too. Did a cursory google search. First page threw up results like these:
This was seen on the Note 9 and Note20 Ultra. It likely has to do with the adhesive to the frame but it doesn't effect the screen in normal lighting. Given the prevalence, it's probably not a defect.
First time I noticed this. I will check my Pixel 6 Pro next.
Interestingly enough none of the iphones show this.
I gonna guess that it's the OCA/LOCA (Liquid - Optical Clear Adhesive)
All modern phone screen use either one of those two to glued the glass to the image display panel.
