Hi there!
Thanks for this useful module, the always-on BlockinMode notification is very annoying. However, it would be nice if the notification do appear when BlockingMode is activated so we could know when calls and messages will be silenced, just as happens in DnD Mode on iOS. Could you include a switch to enable this option and show the notification only when BlockMode is active? I usually turn it on while sleeping.
thank you again,
JF

Thank you for your suggestion.
I have developed the module with this "iOS-like" behavior and it works well.
I just want to implement a switch to preserve the old drastic functionality and I'll upload the new apk.

Disable BlockingMode Notification has been updated to v.2.
Please read the first post and let me know if you have issues!

Hi. Thanks for your work.
The option of completely remove the notification works, but the option of show only when active don't, it always show the notification.
My phone is a S2 international version (I9100).

Anyway to get this update to work on lollipop?

Doesn't work on S6 5.1.1

+1 Would love it if you could update to work with 5.1.1 on my Note 4! Ridiculous programming decision by Samsung to have it always show.....

Add support for marshmallow please!

Hi, does this work on 5.0.x?
Thanks!

Any solution for 5.0? This or an alternative app? I've always used this one but i just jumped on Lollipop...

What does this app actually do..?

FAQ
Q: My phone does not vibrate when an outgoing call is connected.
A: It's possible that the time of state change for your phone after an outgoing call is connected is slower than expected. This module has an assumption that this state change should happen in no longer than 200ms. In version 2.50, there's a new option to change this threshold. But first you need to know how much time your phone need. Following the procedures below:
1. First Enable Debug Info (new option available in 2.50 also) in setting.
2. Make some calls.
3. Check the Xposed log file under /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/log/.
4. Look for the line beginning with "cstate:ACTIVE". The value after "durationMillis" is the amount of time your phone needs for the state change for outgoing call. This value might varies so make several calls and mark the largest value.
5. Set the threshold to something higher than the largest value you found.
6. Try calling out again and see if it vibrates.
is there anyway to make this work with other phones that are on 4.2 builds ? or is this just exclusive to your sony model phone.

I haven't checked out the source code for AOSP dialer. But if Xperia phone app is using similar code, then this module should also work in AOSP and other similar dialer.
Technically, this module only call the system vibrator after the method hideCallingProgress in the LargeCallView class. So if this class and method exist, then it mod should work.
You can try it and report back your result.

Actually you can check out the source code from GitHub if you want to know how this module works. It's just a few line of codes.
But again you can try this module to see if it works on your phone first. I have a feeling that it works too.

Hi
Well, does not work on Xperia mini pro (stock 4.0.4 rom).
Guys, please try out this version if the Play store version is not working for you. I checked some Xperia ICS ROM and found that a different method is called which is different from JB. Anyway, I made this version trying to support both methods. Please report your result. Thanks!

This goes without saying, but this module is a huge security risk if always enabled. After using it for whatever you want to use it for, disable it and reboot.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Yes, it should not be always enabled. Enable it only when you need it.
What risks?
Thx, useful to switch between DEBUG and RELEASE builds :good:
A feature like 'enable for 1 minute' would be nice.
A simple ui with justa checkbox for the enabling/disabling of the module would bê a good adition.but not sure if it's possible
For what? You can enable or disable module in Xposed Installer.

But after enabling /disabling you need to reboot, witch is the same as you unistalling the original apk and installing the New one with diferente signature
The only difference being you would keep the data
But it's only my personal opinion .
Yes, hm. It sounds well. I will do it.

Thank you for this module, but the setting in app is invalid, whenever I checked or unchecked the box in app, I must reboot device to make it work successfully, just like enable/disable this module in xposed installer then reboot.
Actually, I want to toggle this function easily, just bypass the annoying reboot process. It it technically possible?
This app screwed up something on my Nexus 5. I'm running CM11 and when I rebooted it showed basically what it did when I first installed the ROM. I used the TWRP file manager to delete the apk and everything went back to normal. Any ideas?

Same to me. Running this in my Galaxy S4 CM11 4.4.3 and after reboot I've "lost" all applications other than system ones. Then disabled xposed through recovery and got everything back but all Accounts section was lost.
Funny, but some time ago I made a similar module for development purposes (XDisableAppSignCheck on github).
This is very handy in development. But you should never use it in production! Especially on devices with important data.
This module gives me bootloops. Galaxy s3 cm 4.4.3
btw, removed setting because it doesnt work (can't work in initZygote) - v1.2
I dont know why it bootloops on CyanogenMod.. I tested it on stock Android 4.4.3 & TouchWiz 4.2.2 and all works. logs?

[MOD][XPOSED] PreText

I've made this module after seeing this request http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55570989 from a user asking to make a module to automatically add "*0# " (star zero hash space) to the front of a text message before it gets sent because some UK networks do not support delivery reports unless this code is at the start of the SMS and as a pretext (pun intended) to make a module to do some android internals hooking, I've done it.
It currently only works when you use the default android messaging app (com.android.mms), but as I told before it is a pretext to do some android internal hooking and soon will support any messaging (SMS) app.
Currently it has no configuration options, but as soon as I finish the internal hooks, it will have a preferences screen that will allow you to define the text to be inserted before and after the message body.
The initial public release version it's attached to the post, but the updates will follow only on the xposed repo.
Xposed Repo: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.beatslayer.xposedmod.pretext
Changelog:
v0.1
- Initial Public Realease
v0.2
- Now supports all messaging (SMS) Apps
v0.3
- Configure text to inject before and after the messages body and separators.
v0.4
- New predefined text types to inject before and after the messages body.

According to this: http://www.reddit.com/r/AskUK/comments/2diyeo/do_you_use_text_message_delivery_reports/ it's only required for O2-based networks (i.e. O2, GiffGaff, Tesco Mobile), although that could be incorrect/outdated.

BTW new version uploaded to the Xposed Repo with configuration options that allows the user to select the text to insert before and after the messages body and custom separators.
I am using v58/54. Tried latest version and still says broke/incompatible. As I have an Intel processor in my phone when compiling the apk make sure that Intel is enabled as a target.

It's because you're on JB, I'll see if I can make it compatible.
New version uploaded to the repo with support for more android versions, and predefined text types.

Now working on my 4.1.2. Thanks.
A few notes - the icon does not display in my draw (black space where it should be) and remember some providers charge for each delivery report so check.
Figured out that it's not working on samsung devices. I have an s3 mini I8200n on 4.2.2 and an s3 i9300 on 4.3. Both on o2uk.
Both seem to load the mod, both can send and receive messages but no delivery reports and no inserted text of any kind. Do you think a copy of the messaging app would help any?.

Just attach your stock messaging app, I'll make a workaround so that on Samsung it will work only on default messaging app.
Anyone else having issues, so I can address them on next version? :cyclops:
This is the stock message app for samsung 4.3 https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4vTiHTBB629MGdfRk5wdnV6NlE/edit?usp=docslist_api
If there's anything else i can assist with just let me know!.
By the amount of time it has taken so far i presume you cannot make it compatible.
Please make it known that this mod is NOT compatible with all sms apps as you stated in your first post.
Thanks anyway.

[GUIDE]: HOVER/HALO/FLOATING WINDOW(WITHOUT FLOATIFICATIONS APP)Lollipop 5.1.1 Custom

Hi everybody! This thread is just to share my experience with the intention to help others who might benefit from this. I know there is a similar thread with the help of "FLOATIFICATIONS(FN)" app. But to my experience FN is a hit or miss on 5.1.1 and most of the time it does not work.
A little background....
Before coming to android 5.1.1 i was using PAC MAN ROM(KK-4.4.4). A great ROM. Among the cool features i liked most was that you have an option to open any notification in a floating window by long pressing it( yes Paranoid Android's "HOVER").But so far i did not find any lollipop 5.1.1 custom Rom which have this feature built into the Rom and XHALOFLOATINGWINDOW(Xposed Module) does not have this SystemUI mod for Android Lollipop(i think not even PA lollipop also so far). So after experimenting with many apps(including FN and Floatify and different sidebars)and mods, i have found a workaround which does exactly what i want and even better.
Things you will need:
1. Xposed installed (unofficial zip for 5.1.1 + official xposed installer alpha 4 apk)http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/super-alpha-posted-permission-xposed-t3072979
2. Xhalofloatingwindow v2.41( xposed module)http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpo...floatingwindow-v2-38-movable-t2419287/page299
3. Xbridge (xposed module)http://repo.xposed.info/module/daylemk.xposed.xbridge
3.Halo shortcuts( there are a couple of Halo shortcuts apps, anyone will do)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554118
4.Notifications shortcuts.(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.nicolai.buch.andersen.ns&hl=en)
STEPS:
1. As usual install xposed and the two modules. Activate the modules and reboot.( you wont see any xbridge icon on app drawer)
2. Install Halo shortcuts. (you wont see any Halo shortcuts icon on your app drawer)
3. Install Notifications shortcuts(NS).
4.Open NS and tap on blank boxes(PREVIEW) to create shortcut. Now select the second option(shortcuts and contacts)>then select halo shortcut>select activity> xbridge>and select that only option under xbridge.
5.Now on your notification drawer u can see an droid icon. Tap to open it. And turn on the "View in Xhalo" switch.Thats It. We r good to go. Now long pressing any notification will show you an option to open in xhalo/floating window.
NOTE: you can pin any app or shortcuts this way to your Notification drawer and they will open in HALO mode anywhere.
CAUTION:Unfortunately on Android 5.1.1 xhalofloatingwindow may cause bootloops after you reboot. Solution: clear dalvik and cache. Its annoying to see this"OPTIMIZING APPS". But until the dev zst123(Xhalo) updates his fantastic module, this is the only way i think.

Most user's use gravity box, I would recommend using the app launcher option to launch multi windows, the only downside is it only allows for 12 apps to be used

.
Actually MANY users use custom Roms( derivatives of CM12/AOSP) instead of CM12 itself. And as per my experience most of the features available in Gravity Box are already there baked into those Roms. So in that situation(when you just need one or two features at most) i think its better to avoid Gravity Box(Its a combination of features in one single app).Apart from that Gravity Box LP is still a bit buggy and heavy. F.Y.K.I. i already tried Gravity Box LP and my conclusion is that my workaround is so far the easiest, practical and least resource consuming. The best thing is it integrates with lollipop notification system and gives me just what i wanted.

It should work on any Rom. After flashing Xposed zip and xposed installer you should clear dalvik and cache. And after rebooting open the xposed app and go to framework and see if there is green message that xposed is active. Also, after activating Xhalo, go to the xhalo tesing tab and open setting or xposed in floating window. If the test result is successful then my procedure should definitely work.
Thank for @matesurano, the approach of open floating window in notification works fine (on my new buy Nexus 9 with latest stock rom of Android 5.1.1, buy in on hTC official Taiwan website, which has a great sale in the beginning of Aug)
I also try Gravity app launcher through hola-shortcut for some app, it's great, too.
Just want to report one thing about the bootloop:
It seems to be a gambling for the bootloop, no-matter you make wipe dalvik/cache or not, and the app optimization is annoying.
I try to make a xml backup of Xhola app with Titanium-> clean the data-> reboot with quick boot-> recovery the data of Xhola app with Titanium
I have made a 5 times straight boot without bootloop( and of cause no app optimization, don't need to wipe with TWRP)
I think it's worth to give a try with Titanium for bootlooping/app optimization.:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::laugh:

Hi there, first u should test if xhalo is working in the xhalo test area. Also go through xhalo settings menu properly. As you are on android 5.0, u better try the version 2.41.

Thanks I will I notice that the test area work but if I exit the app and try to open more than 1 the first one closes. Update I was able to figure it out I have to be inside the xhalo app for me to be a ablw to open multiple apps at a time using multiwindow side launcher . also as my tablet doesn't have a working recovery like cwm or twrp I don't want to put something that can break it.
Not Working.....
Its not working in my redmi 2 with resurrection remix rom v5.5.8(based on 5.1.1)

Did you try opening xhalo window and inside of the app open multiplayer apps at once that's what I have to do on my rca maven pro. If I exit the app I can only open one app at a time

Hi mates
Working on Oneplus Slimsaber 5.1.1
There is a new a Xhalo version for lollipop that seems works better
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64965531&postcount=3236
By the way @matesurano I had in my SGS2 rom the option to open the floating app swiping left the notification.
Do you know if it's possible with this method?
Thanks for this great tutorial

Hi there! do u mean the stock rom or custom in SGS2?! Anyways.....as far as i know, systemUi mods(specially swiping or single tapping are not possible with xhalo in Lollipop. But, Blisspop lollipop(not in MM yet) roms have implemented exactly the same features i.e. u can open the headsup notification in floating window simply by tapping it once or long press the notification in notification tray and get an option to open it in floating window. All these without any xposed module. Quite neat indeed!

Mega is asking for some unlock code... is this some type of spam ? If it's working how to install. Thnx

This patch includes: bluid.prop tweaks; system apps with Samsung Experience 8.1 icons; floating_feature; fonts; framework;
Basically it makes your old nougat 7.0 user interface more fancy, but without any extra features that are not working like extra notifications toggles.

If you don't have deodexed stock nougat, there is an extremely debloated, deodexed and deknoxed stock rom(Only 768MB).Samsung themes and NFC totally removed also.

Sorry for that.. link was without unlock code but it was asking for it.. idk why..
Anyway, I uploaded to google drive.
To install you need TWRP, just flash the first zip IF YOU ARE ON DEODEXED ROM.(on odexed you will get bootloop because of framework-res.apk. It's for power menu)
You can try the rom in second link. It's just the stock one but very debloated and some useless features(for me) like NFC and Samsung Themes removed.
I'll give it a try now [emoji3] [emoji3] [emoji3]

It seems fine, nice work !
Bugs:
- When in multiwindow they keyboard is not showing up
- Performance Mode is showing up in the notification tray and not working and useless
- One Handed mode is not working
- A Strange notification saying Samsung Account Session Expired
I Hope you can fix these bugs. I really like this patch !!!
Sent from my SM-A310F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Thanks for feedback!
I'll try to modify floating_features.xml. I think that's why performance mode is showing up.
I'll put one handed mode back also.
I never had any samsung account notification, and didn't used multiwindow yet 'cause the screen is a bit too small for this in my opinion.

I'll be ready to test it. I love the patch.
I think you can add "Samsungmultiwinodow.apk" in "System/priv-app" or completely get rid of it. It's present on the patch because of the framework. I'm excited to test it. Keep it up ?
Link updated.
Multiwindow added/Performance mode toggle removed/Added S9 sounds and new messaging app/Some system apps updated/Multiuser in quick settings added.
(Onehanded mode still not working)

Nice, the multiwindow is the same... the phone reboots when the keyboard is active in multiwindow
everything else is fine. the multiwindow has something to do with the framework. you can simply disable it completely
I hope you still working on this patch.

Yeah.. I tested it.
I'll see what I can do.. now my pc is broken and I don't think I can modify the framework only with my phone.
Three important questions...
Does it delete data?
Can I use it with stock recovery?
Is it safe to do?
Thanks if you reply

Sorry for my ignorance, but I have 3 more questions... Is still looping on boot when I'm odexed? How can I check if my for is deodexed or not? If it isn't, how can I deodex?
Flashed over standard odexed nougat stock and... works like a charm
Thanks @33r13 for this cool release
