[ROM][CM9]Xperia Mod 9 [UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER ONLY] 3-3-2014 - Xperia Play Android Development

Story of this rom:
we all know about cyanogenmod and its awsome speed compared to stock rom
but unfortunately cyanogenmod doesn't have the lovely sony interface and xperia-only features
so i decided to make a rom themed like xperia z/z1 with added goodies from xperia devices
Features of this rom:
-based on latest fxp cm9 available
-pre-rooted like cyanogenmod
-cyanogenmod performance setting
-themed framework
-xperia walkman with sound enhancements
-themed setting
-xperia z keyboard
-honami launcher
-xperia z calculator
-xperia movie and album
-honami wallpapers with wallpaper picker of xperia z1s
-4.3 jellybean easter egg

Changelog:
1-first version (private):
first release that it was about 10 versions that each one had to pass my tests (so i can find what made the rom not work well and remove-replace it)
2-public version(v1):
-removed xperia z lock screen (because of unstability. added as add-on)
-removed xperia z status bar from main rom (due to some bugs) and added the link from original thread in add-ons
-changed icons of apps
-some themings here and there
-removed some useless apps (because they are not useful for everyone)
To do list(for myself):
1-porting on-off switched from xperia 4.3 firmware
2-making xperia z lockscreen add-on again (unstable for now)
3-theming system-ui
4-theming setting a little bit more
5-adding one of tested google now add-ons in add-on section
6-porting this rom to other 2011 xperia devices
7-maybe adding armora installer
8-porting small apps with task switcher (it will take much time and i may fail in porting it because its very hard)

not found any. please tell me if you found one

thread ready
enjoy this rom
(this is my first work so you cant expect a great rom like rom of great devs )

looks great on the screenshot :good:

why not use cm10?

because cm10 is not running games well but this rom is
but i was thinking about a cm10 version too because some of the sony features are more updated in cm10
but we have many cm10 xperia themed roms in this section
and we have somc debrand engine too

Bugs: 1)wifi doesnt work
2) Camera app stoped working

Project butter does not work on our Play, as stated by CosmicDan.
CM9 is faster when it comes to gaming too (other than the annoying bug that makes touchpads lag, well-known into CM10)
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk 2

for me both of them is working
aren't you using lupus ics/gb with cm9 support ?
if yes thats the problem @krchi
jb is a little smoother in the rom itself
but lags will come in games and touchpad is not working well in jb too
i found a bug
touchpads are not working
i will upload the fix soon

Yes I used lupus I forget it cm9 which kernel can I used?
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

lupus cm9 is best kernel for this rom and im suing it too
_______________________
i saw that my pervious fix is not working because i digged into framework a little so i need a little time to fix the touchpads/gamepada again

Its look nice, will try it later....
Sent from my MT25i using Tapatalk

@pedyvirus I found that Google play service gives FC in this rom
I have tried two versions but both of them give fc
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Maybe its gapps problem ( im using one of the lightest gapps so maybe thats causing the problem)
Can you install full gapps and try this again?
Because im busy in reviewing xperia play for one of perisan sites now

i'm using the LuPuSv7 [STOCK ICS/GB & CM9] kernel and can't get wifi working too
by the way is a beautiful sony skinned rom
what fxp version are you using? the last is 2013-12-23...

im using latest fxp as my base
your problem is because of the kernel
install lupus cm9 kernel
_____________________________________________
sorry guys im in vacation so i cant come here too much

i tried, but that kernel doesn't have lupus menu and i don't now how to put my owns init.d scripts for kernel preferences...
Also, are the touchpads working?
if yes, is solved the circle button that acts as a back button?
cheers

well it doesn't have touchpad fix included sadly
i have problem in one of the parts maybe some one else can make touchpad fix for this rom

[HIGHLIGHT]Stock Firmwares[/HIGHLIGHT]Note: Stock firmware bundles packed as ftf (below) seems to be cross-compatible between MK16i and MK16a versions. However, do not take this as a 100% fool-proof conclusion, since this has not been confirmed by Sony. You can flash firmware for MK16a in MK16i and vice versa, the only side affect being that your phone would be recognized by software as the corresponding firmware you flashed. In case if you flashed a different baseband and your SIM card/mobile network is not working, you can always re-flash the correct firmware.

Nice thread! By the way if you like you could include my kernel on the list. It's useable even on stock firmware.

Since your Ultima ROM is already included in the list and kernel mentioned on the ROM page, I did not add. Basically, the kernel section has only kernels which are not associated with a specific ROM. This is to avoid cluttering. Hope this is acceptable!
Updated with stock firmwares for MK16a.

oooooh. Shiny.
Well that'll be what I'm up to later on. How's battery life?
Battery life not good... currently working on SE-Tweaked GB new version at the minute so until Lewa release an update I won't be unless other team members are working on it

That's a shame - mind you, refreshing for the dev to be up front about shortcomings of their work. Mind you battery can't be worse than FXP CM9...!
Any chance of getting some more shiny goodness thrown us Pro'er's way? The more ROMs the better in my book. Based on how quick you turned LeWA round, any chance of some more?
Is this the thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626870
Just thought we should continue discussion abt the LewaOS over at its own thread.
I kind of suspect that the poor battery life is due to the CM kernel. Battery drain is a problem for our CM roms. Anyway thanks for the links, I will test it tomorrow! Should be easy since I am on CM7.2 now so I only need to flash the ROM and install GApps.

Your kernel link seems to be bad. You need to drop the L off of the end of the URL.
I've edited it to be correct in my quote above.

My vote would be to make a new thread. Two reasons - there are bound to be differences between the two versions, bugs on one that aren't on the other for example. Secondly, I think we're more likely to get a dedicated Pro forum if it can be demonstrated there's an active Pro dev community. If the Pro work is buried in Arc threads that won't be as evident.
oh, by the way - ran the ROM briefly but camera is upside down, which is a showstopper for me unfortunately :-(
I also support the creation of a new thread for Pro's LewaOS.
Before the new thread is up, just would to comment that LewaOS seems to be less smooth than what I would expect... and of course , there is the problem of the inverted camera.
Totally separate issue: anyone happens to have the chinese keyboard for xperia pro? Can you please upload it somewhere? TA!
Sent from my MK16i using XDA
Okay well we need to stop discussion in this thread
All issues to be reported in the Arc thread once I've changed it, off to sleep shortly but I will create it later, I have the thread template already set up on my laptop at home, I have MoKee OS ported ready for test for Xperia Neo, all things work from what I can see but needs further testing, if all goes well there will be a Xperia Arc & Neo release. I will use the Lewa thread for Lewa & MoKee

Do you mean a keyboard with Chinese characters or a normal QWERTY version? I have a keyboard for which I select CN in ProParts of CM7.
I think I was able to write Chinese characters in the stock mk16I rom, so not the QWERTY version..
It is one of the bloatware most non-chinese would uninstall...

What I meant was if you have chinese characters printed on the physical keyboard or is it just a normal QWERTY?

Why are some XT jellybean app not appearing in stock 4,04 ROMS

Hello everyone
I am using neov with ICS revolution HD suypernova by dev jaskirat and Xperia Z launcher by Thlinac
Firstly as we all know here the XT jellybean leak : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102641
credits to doomlord and Jader 13254 ..
I tried intalling some media apps from the jellybean leak above and I have strange problems and some other users are also having these problems in other ROMS . My problems are :
1. When I replaced my music widget.apk from the jellybean one it didn't show in my widget picker (Some people are getting it to work, see comments in the leak thread above )
2. When I replace my semcmusic .apk from the jellybean one ..it didn't show up in my apps drawer at all
I moved both files to system/app and given permission rw-r-r
Any solutions to it ??
Thank you

[Q] Wich themes will work on WT19i?

Hi, i have a problem, yesterday i install a theme, but the Xperia T Rom Bond Edition (Rom ICS) "theme manager" not read that theme, now my question is... ¿Wich themes i can install in my WT19i?, on CM9 was more easy (T- Mobile Theme Chooser) why the Xperia´s Rom are based on Stock .487 and not on CM9?
Please, someone could give me a Theme List for the Xperia LWW with Stock´s based ROMS? (Like Revolution ICS or Xperia T Rom Bond Edition)

i think theme developer includes the supported Devices/ROMS ..
also if Devs will make an ics ROM so no matter to make it based on cm 0.9 , but based on stock B,cuz people who have locked bootloader
they will do that if the rom was jelly bean

First thing, as you ported this rom. it is not official So, Replace official with Unofficial
Second, did you built from source? That is not porting. So remove the word ported too
Third, There is already a fully working cm9 exist
Fourth, lol you misspelt cosmicdan.
lastly, is there a need to CAPS every single word?
